Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Totsuka Sword

Just then, a young and energetic girl peeked in.

"Um... has it been cured?"

It was her, the girl who was the first to help Uchiha Nagi on the road, and the one who brought the unconscious Uchiha Nagi to Tamayo for treatment.

Having lost too much blood, and having experienced the depletion of her chakra after awakening her Mangekyou Sharingan for the first time and traveling through time, Nagi Uchiha was in a situation where anyone could have killed her. If she hadn't been brought to Tamayo, Nagi would likely have died from blood loss after fainting.

Fortunately, he not only met a kind girl, but also a ghost that doesn't eat people.

"This is Kagome. She brought you here after you collapsed on the street," Tama said.

The girl seemed carefree, but when she saw Uchiha Nagi, her eyes involuntarily lit up, clearly craving something...

"Um...Dr. Tamayo, did he cure you? Dr. Tamayo, how much did the medical bills cost? I might not have brought enough money..." The girl touched her head shyly.

"No need…" Uchiha Nagi was about to say that he had money, but then realized something and his lips twitched. His money was from the Naruto world and it definitely wouldn't work here.

"Hehe, no need. It's just helping this Uchiha-san stop the bleeding. No money required. Besides, I still need to learn medical knowledge from this gentleman later," Tamayo said.

"By the way, Mr. Uchiha Nagi, I have some special reasons that make things inconvenient for me. You can stay at Kagome's house while you are recovering from your injuries. Kagome lives alone."

Because she and Yushiro are demons, they use blood demon magic to cover their house in order to avoid being seen by their kind. If the house has the scent of strange humans, it could easily attract trouble.

"Oh my god, is that okay? That's wonderful!" the girl exclaimed happily.

Uchiha Nagi: "...."

Is this safe? Bringing a strange man home...

And so, after leaving Tamayo's house, Uchiha Nagi followed the girl to her home—

As night falls, the bustling streets are teeming with people. Some are selling goods on the street, some are begging, and some are dressed in flamboyant clothes, holding up handkerchiefs to solicit customers from the second floor.

"Hey handsome over there, wanna come up for a cup of tea?"

"Wow~ What a handsome young man! Girls, look, look!"

Kagome's face darkened, and she angrily pulled Uchiha Nagi away from the spot.

Uchiha Nagi looked around, feeling a little dizzy. There were no ninjas, no war. It was a peaceful world, somewhat like the steam age, with electric lights, cars, and internal combustion engines.

There are also reinforced concrete buildings, and the police patrol with batons, only carrying guns in emergencies. If there weren't ghosts here...

Uchiha Nagi felt as if she had returned to the modern era; everything was so familiar. If history followed its normal course, the internet would have appeared in the near future.

At night, in Kagome's house, Nagi Uchiha sat on a cushion, looking at the starry sky, holding an instrument in one hand and playing a tune.

Kagome looked at Nagi with dreamy eyes. She had never heard such a beautiful melody before. It was as if she were there, and a scene unconsciously appeared in her mind: a man playing an instrument on a grassy field in her hometown.

As the song ended, Kagome came to her senses, her face slightly flushed. She said shyly, "Nagi-kun, that song was really beautiful. What's it called? Could you teach me sometime?"

"Okay." Nagi Uchiha nodded. "It's called 'The Original Scenery of the Hometown.' I'll teach you if you like."

"Really? Thank you so much, Nagi-kun."

Hometown—what a distant word. It's not in the Naruto world, and it still isn't in this world.

After Kagome rested, Nagi Uchiha took out a scroll from Fugaku's house.

Susanoo, Izanami, and Izanagi are all eye techniques that emerged from the Uchiha clan's development of the Sharingan to its ultimate form over thousands of years.

Nagi Uchiha wouldn't use the latter two, as the side effects are too great; using them once would sacrifice an eye, so she only has the Susanoo from the front.

Susanoo is the least costly technique, requiring only ocular power as a sacrifice. However, before the Mangekyou Sharingan is upgraded to the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, using it too much or too frequently will directly cause blindness.

unless--

Uchiha Nagi looked at her missing left hand. The power of the Mangekyou Sharingan wasn't that it couldn't be restored, but that it was extremely slow. Otherwise, Madara wouldn't have been able to fight the First Hokage for so long. However, if the First Hokage's cells were transplanted, the recovery speed would be hundreds of times faster.

The first-generation cells are even more terrifying than cancer cells. Fortunately, the White Zetsu are second-generation diluted cells, which are relatively mild. However, transplanting White Zetsu still requires some experiments to ensure safety, and luckily, I know medical ninjutsu.

Nagi touched her right eye. Because her chakra had been drained, her body's power was concentrated on her left eye. Although her right eye had awakened, it was still dormant. Once her body returned to normal in a couple of days, she would know what her right eye's ability was.

Nagi Uchiha is a perfect example of someone who is good at many things but not good at any. Because of his greed and the lack of a Kage-level mentor, he tried to learn everything but ended up being good at nothing.

Like Itachi, who is most proficient in genjutsu, White Fang, who is skilled in swordsmanship, Guy, who is skilled in taijutsu, and the Fourth Hokage, who is skilled in the Flying Thunder God Technique. Looking at all the main characters, they all have one thing in common: they have good teachers, and some even have more than one.

This is also why Uchiha Nagi agreed to join the Demon Slayer Corps. In the Naruto world, he didn't have a good teacher, let alone learn the most advanced ninjutsu. Having many ninjutsu but not being proficient in them was more of a helpless situation.

However, when Fugaku was heartbroken, he packed up some of his clan's ninjutsu, which was enough.

Uchiha Nagi picked up a sword, a completely black sword, unsheathed, which looked more like a decorative sword used in sacrificial ceremonies.

Resonating with the kaleidoscope, Uchiha Nagi sensed a strange energy emanating from the sword.

But Nagi Uchiha knew that anything kept in Fugaku's study was definitely not simple. After thinking it over, he felt that the most likely candidate was the sword Itachi used to kill Orochimaru.

Totsuka Sword -

A treasured sword used exclusively by the Uchiha clan, specifically for Susanoo, passed down through generations. Itachi left Konoha after the night of the clan massacre.

The Totsuka Blade was either given to Itachi by Fugaku before the massacre of his clan, or by him on the night of the massacre. Obviously, Fugaku didn't know Itachi had the Mangekyou Sharingan before the massacre, so he couldn't have passed it on to him. Therefore, it must have been given to him on his deathbed.

Now Nagi Uchiha has snatched it away...

[P.S. In the anime, the Demon Slayer Corps leader greets Tanjiro and Tamayo upon their first meeting, but Tamayo and the Demon Slayer Corps only begin cooperating midway through the series. The author brought this forward.]
