Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 To st. Freya

The collision between Herrscher once again show what it mean to be called natural disaster.

"That attack was not bad~" Verna held Thunder by the waist to keep her from falling or flying to space.

"I don't need... your help..."

The Herrscher of Thunder's voice was weak, but even so, she didn't forget to struggle. However, in the eyes of Verna, it was no different from acting spoiled.

"Heh, still acting tough? Can't you even stand on your own?" Verna lowered her head slightly, looking at the Herrscher of Thunder with a slight smirk.

"You!" Thunder was somewhat ashamed and annoyed, but she soon gave up and stopped resisting, simply leaning against Verna to stand.

"I have no strength left to resist. Didn't you want to take back my gem? Do it." The Herrscher of Thunder's voice was cold, but Verna made no move, only giving her waist a squeeze.

"What are you doing!" The Herrscher of Thunder blushed, her eyes looking at Verna, filled with a sense of being humiliated.

"Nothing. You have a good figure. A pity your waist can't compare to this body's." Verna's answer wasn't serious, as if she wasn't the same villainous person from just a moment ago.

The Herrscher of Thunder realized now that this person had no intention of taking it at all! She had taken this beating for nothing!

"It wasn't for nothing." Seeing the face thunder make, Verna reached out and pinched her cheek. It felt good—soft.

"I'm telling you that there's always someone better." Verna's words were met with a scoff from Thunder, who retorted, "I am a Herrscher. Who could be stronger than me? Except for you."

Seeing the Thunder's rebuttal, Verna simply held out her hand, palm open, and said with a smile, "Believe it or not, there are about five people who can kill you right now."

Verna wasn't lying. Kevin, who was trapped in the Sea of Quanta; the strongest Valkyrie, Durandal; Fu Hua at full power; Theresa, who could take her down with her; and Otto, who could scheme her to death... "Only five? So what?" Thunder turned her head away, still stubbornly talking back.

"Is that so? Heh, forget it. Telling you this now is useless anyway. Give Mei back. My little kitten is waiting anxiously." Verna snapped her fingers again, bringing them back to Nagazora. Bronya watched the two Herrschers suddenly appear before her without reaction. Verna was an ally, and the Herrscher of Thunder... was locked in Verna's arms, so there was no need to fear.

"Hmph, I lost this time, but you just wait. I'll be back!" Herrscher of Thunder glared fiercely at Verna before going offline. Mei's consciousness came online, but she fell into a coma.

"I'll leave Kiana and Mei to you, Bronya. You wouldn't want to miss out on seeing Seele, would you?" Verna said casually. Bronya was a bit speechless. She also used the internet, so she naturally knew the meaning behind those words.

"Bronya did." After giving a cute salute, the expressionless little girl saw Verna close her eyes and fall to the ground the next second.

Meanwhile, on the Hyperion, Himeko slowly woke up. Her whole body was aching, but it didn't matter. She struggled to prop herself up and looked at the Adjutant who had come over at some point, asking, "Where is the Herrscher?"

The Adjutant pushed up his glasses, his voice carrying the relief of a survivor as he reported everything that had just happened to Murata Himeko.

"Another Herrscher appeared? Two Herrschers fought? And now they're all unconscious below?" Himeko felt the information overload. She held her head to steady herself, then forced her body to try and get out of bed.

"Major Himeko, your body hasn't recovered yet..." The Adjutant tried to support Himeko to get her back to bed, but Himeko just waved him off and put on her clothes.

"I'm going down to check on those two Herrschers and... the other survivor." Himeko finished dressing and, ignoring the Adjutant's pleas, went down to the surface.

Bronya had already summoned Project Bunny, protecting Kiana and Mei with one of its hands while looking warily at Himeko.

"Don't worry, little girl. I just came down to see those two Herrschers... Are they your friends?" Murata Himeko looked at Bronya. Though she was small, she had a lot of presence.

"State your true intentions, or Bronya will fire." The cannon of Project Bunny behind Bronya was pointed at Himeko, but Himeko had seen it all and simply took a step forward.

"I have no ill intent. It's just that the white-haired girl in that mech hand behind you has some connection to my boss."

After much persuasion, Himeko took a sip of water. It had taken her so long, but she finally convinced Bronya that St. Freya Academy was safe, and the girl was willing to board the Hyperion with her.

Of course, Himeko wouldn't know that the reason Bronya agreed was that she saw Verna, who had drifted out of Kiana's body, nod to her before she agreed to go to St. Freya.

After all, the strongest one on the team had nodded in agreement, so why hesitate? Was there really anyone at St. Freya who could defeat Verna?

That's what Bronya thought, but she really didn't know that within a small Valkyrie training academy, there truly were two beings who could stall Verna, or even have a chance of killing her.

"Then let's go. We'll also help treat your two companions... Don't look at me like that. I'm not that kind of scientist who does human experiments. I'm a soldier, and there's no one like that on my ship."

Himeko sighed as she looked at Bronya, who had suddenly become wary again. She clearly looked quite gentle, so why did it feel like this little girl was thinking of her as some kind of bich?

"Do you like Homu?" Noticing the yellow rabbit plushie with a mischievous smile in Bronya's arms, Himeko seemed to have found a way to bridge the conversation.

"The Headmaster of St. Freya Academy—my boss—also likes these. She's even collected quite a few manga and plushies."

Bronya's eyes lit up upon hearing this. How could someone who likes Homu be a bad person?

"That Headmaster has excellent taste." Bronya nodded, feeling a bit curious about what kind of person the Headmaster would be. Since she was the boss of the woman in front of her... she must be quite old, right?

The image of a kind and gentle auntie appeared in Bronya's mind.
