Chapter 2 - The Argument

Once Kenneth got back into his big bedroom, he immediately took out his phone. He was so excited to start playing Roblox on his new phone, but when Kenneth tried to find the hotel's wifi but found out there wasn't any. He checked again, but there wasn't even a single wifi connection in range. Kenneth checked again, but there definitely wasn't any. He was surprised.

'Seriously?!' He questioned angrily. 'How is there no wi fi here?!'

Kenneth was crashing out. He looked around, it was confusing as well. How were the workers using their phones and calling people?! There was something wrong, and he had to find out soon. He returned to his bedroom and told John about the situation. John was starting to feel uncomfortable as well. It was starting to rapidly rains every 10 or less minutes and lightning was occurring every few seconds or so. Skylor came to the boy's room to tell them about the weird things happening to Lin and herself too.

'The curtains keep flapping! And our lights keep flashing!' She explains.

It was definitely, incredibly, weird in the hotel. Maybe seconds away from something else happening — and it happened. The TV had turned on by itself. Skylor and Lin was over by the boy's room because they were planning to leave. Lin suggested they give it one more day, maybe they'll find clues to why it was happening, except it was just an accident, something was going on here. Maybe the 'L, S'— meant something? And maybe, they were working for someone who was behind all of this weird events occurring moment after moment?

'Okay… we'll give it one more day… and we'll decide if we should depart from this hotel or not.' Kenneth announced.

Skylor sighed.

'That's a good plan, but I don't really want to find out if there's something going on here, can't we go now?' Skylor asked.

'Skylor, it might just be a coincidence…' Lin answered right back.

'HUH?! You think THIS — is all just a COINCIDENCE?!'

There was a long silence and Skylor, was now very angry. She stormed into the toilet and slam the toilet door shut, and locked. Lin put her hand on her face.

'Are you serious right now?! It's just a coincidence!!' Lin screamed.

Kenneth and John looked at each other. Both of the girls were frustrated and they couldn't do anything about it. Eventually, Skylor came out with a wet face. She was obviously upset. There were tears rolling down her face, rapidly. And Skylor wasn't about to leave, she was going to convince the boys, and Lin, that they needed to leave before nightfall. It was currently only approximately two o'clock and they still had time to run before anything else strange happened.

'C'mon guys… I know that this is the first time something like this is happening but still, I know it's not a coincidence! Why did no one care about the bookshelf falling down? What about the one second power outage?!' Skylor asked.

John agreed after sometime, and so did Kenneth. But Lin was still frustrated. Angry.

'Please Lin, we won't leave you behind.' Skylor informed.

Lin looked up. But only just for a second. The tears were rolling down her eyes. Skyler was about to scream, especially because the boys were just behind them, and she didn't want embarrass herself. Then, Lin's face turned mad. She was now angry, and crying at the same time. Skyler froze, she had never seen Lin make this face ever before. She thought she might be embarrassed in front of the boys, but that probably wasn't it. Lin screamed and covered her face before she walked out of the room, stomping, thudding her feet, loudly… on the floor.

Skylor sighed. She had to convince her somehow… before nightfall. Or else.

'Hey. I'll help you convince her… and Yeah… we have to leave soon.' John whispered.

Skyler was relieved for the boys to be on her side. Skyler had always dreamed of going on an holiday with boys, and this was even better, she got to go, with a friend! After Kenneth said this to Skyler, John left the room, into Skyler and Lin's room.

'Lin!' John called, 'Lin! Lin! Lin!'

There was no response. Lin had disappeared.

'Lin!!' John screamed. 'Lin?'

The room was dead silent. There was no sound of breathing, birds chirping, and even stepping on the planks didn't make a sound!

'Lin!! Lin!' John continued… 'Huh? Is that…'

He walked out into the balcony and found Lin lying down of the floor. She had a bleeding face. It was in a shape of a bite.

'LIN! Are you okay?!' John shrieked.

Skyler and Kenneth rushed into the room.

'What's going on?!' Kenneth screamed.

'Why's Lin on the floor?!' Skylor shouted, 'Why is she bleeding?!'

'Unghhh…' Lin groaned. 'Huh? What — happened?'

'Lin! Are you okay?!' Skyler shrieked, 'You're bitten! We have to run!! Something bit you! It's really bad!!

Lin showed confusion and suddenly felt the pain.

'Ahhh! My face! It's bleeding!' Lin screamed.

John and Skyler carried Lin onto the bed and tried to get her to stand up. Meanwhile, Kenneth was busy packing everyone's baggages. There was a lot. Kenneth was struggling. He planted and planted.

'Ha, hah…' Kenneth was really frightened by Lin being bit. It only took about thirty seconds for that to happen, because Lin had just walked out thirty seconds ago.

'C'mon! Let's go!' Kenneth called.

John, Skyler and Lin rushed over to get their baggages and they ran into the elevator. They pressed on the ground floor button and the elevator started moving.

'Phew.' Lin said touching her bleeding face. 'Sorry guys… I didn't believe you.'

'It's fine… we're going home now.' Skyler forgave.

Suddenly, a catchy, elevator song played.

…?!

Kenneth froze. What was this song?! He had never heard any elevator music like this one ever before.

Then suddenly, the whole elevator stopped.

'Ground floor.' Buzzed the speaker.

The elevator music stopped and the doors opened… but it wasn't the ground floor.

'Wait…' Skylor said turning pale red.

'Where… Are We?!'
