You can pass it if you already know about Goetia and the 72 Demon God Pillars.
Goetia (Beast I) is a Beast-class Servant who appears in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order. He is the main antagonist of Fate/Grand Order.
He known as the King of Men, King of the Demon Gods and Solomon.
The Demon God King, the aggregate form of Solomon's seventy-two Daemons. To begin with, the 72 Demons were "a system to efficiently promote proper reason" invented by the founder of (human) Magecraft, Solomon.
Goetia was originally created as a magical ritual to look after mankind after Solomon's death, the Human Order Correction Ritual. Said system grieved and raged against the relationship between King Solomon and humans, becoming a curse that takes action to conquer "the imperfectness of humans" that King Solomon continued to ignore. It eventually changed into the Human Order Incineration Ritual. A magecraft with its own will that was devised in order to attain true wisdom, and is now attempting to reach the origin while making use of the entire human history.
After King Solomon's death, the 72 demons that were sealed away inside his corpse awakened to their own ideology, swindled Solomon's name (although, from their point of view, they are the true King of Magecraft Solomon) and embarked on a new venture to convert the entire mankind into energy. And thus, Goetia resumed activity by making king Solomon's corpse into his nest, but there was a great dilemma in his way of being.
In its original Greek, the term "Goetia" refers to the act of sorcery itself; Goetia was the original Thaumaturgical Foundation used in Modern Magecraft. The genetic curse that he implanted in the seventy-two Thaumaturgical lineages that hosted his Demon Gods being the basis from which the first Thaumaturgical Crests developed. Said Magic Crests were from the outset a means by which he connected his existence with that of his agents.
Ten rings have been inserted on the fingers of his two hands, but that on the middle finger of his left hand alone is a replica. Goetia's true form as Beast I is a towering demonic humanoid of colossal height with golden armor-like skin and a single pinkish-red eye on his chest. The Solomon anime adaptation and game sprite animations further reveal he has red eyes on his face, with a row of Demon God Pillar eyes growing inside each of his arms. The antler-like horns on Goetia's head are presumably his Beast's Crown.
Goetia shared in Solomon's Clairvoyance and was disgusted by man's inhumanity to man. Lacking Solomon's wisdom and humanity, the vision of the breadth of human history, with its attendant suffering, along with the doom presented by the Alien God, eventually moved Goetia to start its grand plan to remake humanity.
However, God sabotaged Goetia's plan from the very beginning by ordering Solomon to send one of his ten rings forward in time, depriving Goetia from utilising it, allowing Marisbury Animusphere to use the ring as a catalyst to summon Solomon, and to prevent Goetia from negating it using his Nega-Summon Skill due to being the actual Noble Phantasm and not a copy summoned from the Throne.
Since he has King Solomon as a base, his personality is intellectual (albeit frightening). That being said, as he is the aggregate-body of the 72 demons, his personality/disposition amounts to 72. Because he is an individual and a colony, whenever talking to others, a "demon" resembling the other party comes to surface. This is the reason why Goetia's disposition is evaluated as that of a "mirror".
He possesses an almightiness that causes the entire logic of the universe to obey him, and a sense of intimidation that seems to say that he hates all of mankind. Originally, he would have more than enough qualifications as a king that rules over men. However, he could not understand humans due to being almighty, could not achieve an answer due to being immortal, and thus was unable to become "a human king".
In spite of asserting that humans had no value, the demons could not exist without being employed by humans. The disgrace of having to remain under humans - the sole and greatest "waste of resources" in this universe - despite being life forms of a higher dimension. Goetia could not accept such contradictions and unfaithfulness, and set out on a quest of self-reform: reset the objective of serving humans, absolute proof that he is the highest existence in this planet, reaching the apex that not even Solomon could attain. Goetia's objective is to reach the apex; to become the sole existence in this planet. In other words, the beginning of the great venture of becoming the God.
After Solomon's death, the 72 Demon Gods, who were much like shadows of Solomon, were left behind to protect Human Order. Over time, the Demon Gods aggregated inside Solomon's corpse to form Goetia, Beast I.
Goetia began to pose as the enterprise of the one who called himself King of Magecraft, Solomon. He built Holy Grails as Singularities that distorted history, embedded on human history magi that he designed (to transform into demons according to Goetia's will) as offsprings and produced seven detonation points. That is the cause behind the collapse of the cornerstones of anthropic principle in each eras. When said scheme was concluded, mankind lost the future beyond 2016.
« Everything will begin once more from Genesis, and a planet without the concept of "death" will be made. That is our great undertaking. We did not destroy mankind out of hatred. »
(Goetia, King of the Demon Gods)
"Solomon" commands Makiri Zolgen, Charles Babbage, and Paracelsus von Hohenheim to destroy the era. He proclaimed that past, present, and future do not need to exist, tired of seeing more of ugliness and existence.
He later manifests from a Rayshift-like distortion before Ritsuka's party in the source of the Demon Fog's chamber, Angrboda. He expresses disappointment in Gilles de Rais, Romulus, Jason, and Nikola Tesla for their failures. He tells Chaldea that they've only survive because his eyes have trouble perceiving them, as with their base is isolated from the temporal axis. He then reveals he is the mastermind behind the Incineration of Humanity, Solomon. Mordred suspects he is a Heroic Spirit who decided to destroy humanity after being summoned. Solomon corrects though that he manifested under his own power. He reveals the ring of light seen in the skies of the Singularities is his third Noble Phantasm, Ars Almadel Salomonis. Out of his interest in Mash, he summons only four of the Demon Gods and attacks the group.
The group kill one of the Demon Gods, however, Solomon kills William Shakespeare, Sakata Kintoki, and Tamamo-no-Mae afterward. Mash implores Romani to Rayshift them home, but Solomon's presence makes that impossible. Solomon declares he outranks all Servants regardless of their ranks as Heroic Spirits. He then tries to kill Mordred, but Hans Christian Andersen blocks his attack. Andersen explains the original Heroic Spirit summoning system created by the Counter Force summons them as Grand Servants to protect humanity from a threat born from humanity. Solomon confirms the system used in the Holy Grail War is a degradation of the original. He then declares he is the Grand Caster and kills Andersen. He dismisses Mordred' suspicion that he is actually panicking because Ritsuka already retrieved four of his Grails. He then confesses he only came to the Singularity on a whim and prepares to leaves. He proclaims Chaldea isn't a threat to him unless they destroy seven Singularities. He calls humans worthless for living despite their inevitable deaths and leaves.
Solomon is the one responsible for releasing Tiamat from the Imaginary Number Space.
Invading Mash's dreams, he disguised himself as Romani Archaman and told her of his belief that life is futile if all living things are destined to die from the moment of their birth. To him, everything would be equal and have meaning if both the body and the spirit could maintain the same state from birth till death. He finds it meaningless for lifeforms to be born if they only die, leading him to think that the planet's settings are wrong.
Knowing of her creation and limited lifespan, he tells Mash that she has the right to hate humans and the duty to reject them. He calls Human History meaningless, considering it the remnants left behind by humans leading meaningless lives that only looks like a picture book with meaning. Though she couldn't agree with him, Mash found his voice to be gentle and his words filled with wisdom and compassion. She then realized he wasn't Romani, and the dream ends with Solomon's laughter.
Kingu later speaks with a projection of him, asking why Tiamat hasn't surfaced yet, even though she was awoken from Merlin's dream. Solomon explains there is a seal on her, and orders Kingu to break it. He leaves after proposing to Kingu the question if Tiamat truly wants to create a new humanity.
During Chaldea's skirmish on the Time Temple, Solomon is implored by Baal to activate Ars Almadel Salomonis to eliminate the Heroic Spirits. However, Solomon counters that more will only come, and states that only Ritsuka, the Heroic Spirits' only connection to the Singularity, needs to die to remove them.
Later, Solomon is confronted by Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight, to whom he explains both his Noble Phantasms and his plan to use the Magical Energy from humanity's destruction to power his true goal. He then goes to kill Ritsuka in order to remove the Heroic Spirits, but he is blocked by Mash.
After his Grand Caster form is defeated once again, impressed with their resilience, he decides to remove his disguise and reveal his true identity as Beast I, Goetia. He then attempts to convince Mash to join him in creating a world where death does not exist, but she firmly rejects his offer and views on life. Disappointed, Goetia launches Ars Almadel Salomonis at her, but she uses Lord Camelot to protect Ritsuka at the cost of her own life.
Knowing how Ritsuka must feel he allows them to punch him, though he expresses that they will be destroyed when that happens. However, Romani interrupts them both and reveals his identity as Solomon, much to Goetia's disdained shock. Expressing that Solomon is too late to stop him, Goetia prepares to kill him, but Solomon activates Ars Nova, removing Goetia's immortality. When Solomon reveals Goetia was a spell that abandoned its purpose of watching over humanity, Goetia questions the worth of his duty as an omnipotent collective to watch over humans, lamenting that every human's life is a story of hate and despair. Solomon tells him that he fails to understand that nothing is eternal, and pain awaits everyone in the end. However that doesn't make life a story of despair, rather it's a repetition of meeting and parting despite knowing there's an end. Solomon concludes that human life is a story of love and hope. Goetia calls his words nonsense, and declares he will activate his Noble Phantasm before the last of the Demon Gods is gone. After Solomon disappears, Goetia prepares to kill everyone.
After his defeat, the Demon God Pillars and the Time Temple begin to collapse. Goetia attacks Ritsuka, who blocks his punches with Mash's shield, and asks them why they fought to restore humanity. Ritsuka answers 'To live!" and deals Goetia a final blow empowered by a Command Spell. Goetia is amused by their answer and realizes that he overestimated his foe. He then crumble away, laughing to himself.
However, later during Ritsuka's escape, Goetia suddenly appears before them in human form to prevent their escape stating that they'll perish together. He laments that all of his plans have failed due to Solomon's sacrifice, but states he has reached an understanding of humans thanks to his now limited existence. Ultimately, Goetia decides to use the remainder of his existence to kill Ritsuka despite knowing that the act is meaningless. After this final confrontation, Goetia contently vanishes, stating that the briefness of human life is surprisingly interesting.
Goetia (as "Solomon") narrates the PV for Cosmos In The Lostbelt, revealing that he had instigated the Human Order Incineration as a way to stop the Alien God from enacting the Human Order Revision. While he mocks Chaldea for inadvertently causing the ruin that he sought to avert, he nevertheless encourages them to keep fighting for their future.
In Melty Blood Actress Again, the Dust of Osiris plots to crystallize the whole of the planet and its inhabitants as Philosopher's Stones—a medium by which to render the continuity of history to permanent, imperishable record as a matter of preserving humans against certain destruction. Arcueid Brunestud, upon learning of her plan, states that "the approach of overcoming death by reducing all things to zero" has been attempted before, and that the thinking behind it is a thousand years out of date—having originally been the plan of the Ancient "I". It is unclear if the Ancient "I" of the Melty Blood continuity is equivalent in meaning to Goetia's title as the "I" of the Original Sin.
Goetia is the ultimate Spell system created by Humans. A hive mind formed by the 72 Demon God Pillars, beings from a higher dimension, each of whom possesses as much Magical Energy as Kingu, who was using a Holy Grail as their Magical Reactor Core. With what he achieved, his Class was determined as Beast. Grand Caster and the likes are nothing but fake ranks. Created by humans, this is the great disaster that has most effectively misused Human History. His name is Beast I, one of the seven Evils of Humanity, the Beast possessing the Logos of "Pity", localized as "principle of "pity""); man's luxury to pity and be disappointed at others. That in itself is the beastly nature of Goetia.
Tamamo no Mae states that even if she were to regain her Nine Tails and become a great demon and avatar of the Apocalypse, strong enough to destroy three thousand worlds, the cause of the Human Incineration would still be a threat great enough to rival her. In his Beast form, Goetia's Saint Graph Structure is Nega-Hume type, his Saint Graph Signal measures 169,998, and his Saint Graph Output is ranked Second Planetary Class, surpassing even that of the Alien God that manifested in Olympus or Bewitching Queen Draco, who were Third Planetary Class. During the Heian-kyō Singularity, Da Vinci claimed that the Alien God's Saint Graph output was second only to Goetia, implying Goetia and her surpassed any other Beast, Lostbelt King, Divine Spirit, or Grand Servant that Chaldea had encountered up to that point in time. Mash states that even Ivan the Terrible is nothing compared to the power of the King of Magecraft. Entities of the Planetary Class can only be possibly harmed with Planetary Class weapons such as Lostbelt Morgan's Rhongomyniad.
Goetia possesses an almightiness that causes the entire logic of the World to obey him and a sense of intimidation that seems to say that he hates all of mankind. He is regarded as an Omnipotent being that even King Solomon could not reach. Although Goetia regarded Solomon in his regular Caster form as a pathetic fool that would be no match for him, he claimed that the real alive Solomon could have stopped him. Goddess Rhongomyniad, who had a deep knowledge of Goetia's true nature, being a Divine Spirit that had acquired a level of perspective on par with his, understanding both his ideal and his purpose and having learned secrets about his abilities such as that his temple resides outside of time, believed that Tiamat may surpass him in power.
Those who make eye contact with him will have their Soul removed from their body and sent to a Purgatory of Goetia's own creation. It is not as effective against Servants and other spiritual bodies, but his gaze still forces them to drown in their flaws and relive past mistakes.
When in battle, Goetia attacks by blasting barrages of destructive lasers out of his arms and hands while brutally engaging his enemies in close-combat with magical energy-enhanced fists. The Solomon anime movie has Goetia in his "Solomon" guise use what appears to be Magecraft to attack with sharp slashes of air and create large magical barriers capable of blocking Noble Phantasms for defense. After his true form as Beast I is revealed in the movie, Goetia retains all his previous abilities along with the addition of being able to fly, regenerate wounds by solidifying darkness out of his body, and control each Demon God Pillar at will. He is skilled enough in combat to face a coordinated assault of seven powerful Servants (Jeanne d'Arc, Nero, Francis Drake, Enkidu, Mordred, Florence Nightingale, and Bedivere) all at once. However, after his immortality is removed by Ars Nova, Goetia is gradually overwhelmed by the continuous attacks of multiple other Servants until finally being defeated by Ritsuka Fujimaru wielding Lord Camelot.
Skills
Class Skills
Territory Creation (A Rank): Creation of a "Workshop" territory that is advantageous to himself as a Magus. That ability of his that had created the Temple of Jerusalem is of the highest peak of Territory Creation.
High-Speed Incantation (A Rank): The ability to hasten Magecraft incantation speed. Formerly his incantation speed is only average, but now it is comparable to High-Speed Divine Words. That is due to the inside being Goetia, and thus his weakness from when he was alive... his characteristic weakness... isn't there.
Item Construction (C Rank): Creation of tools tinged with Magical Energy. Perhaps because he is specialized in contracts, his Item Construction ability is on average level.
Personal Skills
Solomon's Rings (EX Rank): The ten rings given to Solomon by God. The mark of the king, the progenitor of Magecraft. In the case of all ten rings present, any and all kinds of magecraft performed by mankind are invalidated and put under his subordination. There are 9 rings worn by Goetia. The remaining one is-----
Nega-Summon (EX Rank): Completely cancels (invalidation, invincible, absorption, reduction) all Noble Phantasms of summoned Heroic Spirits either by absorbing them, negating them, disabling them, or ignoring them. There is only one "exception" and because of this exception, this Skill that had absolute Authority is heavily demoted. In the Solomon anime movie it is also shown to be capable of unsummoning Servants themselves by erasing the Summoning Spell that called them, as Goetia is the original, supreme summoning Spell system invented by Humans. As long as his enemies are Heroic Spirits, they cannot surpass him. However, it only works on those summoned. It does not work on Mash Kyrielight as she is not a summoned Servant.
Summoning (EX Rank): A Magecraft that evokes spiritual bodies from the past, or possibly from the Future. After the death of King Solomon, the concept of "72 Demon Gods" that he left behind nested inside the remains of his corpse and was reborn after a long time as "someone" that put on the mask of King Solomon. Although Goetia cannot perform Heroic Spirit summoning nor invoke normal Familiars, he can freely summon any of the 72 demons on the present age. Maybe it is easier to understand if described as a converter that projects the "imaginary demons" nested within King Solomon's inner world onto the physical World.
Revelation (- Rank): A Skill that hears of "the voice from the Heavens" and performs the most suitable of actions. Due to this being a Skill possessed by the Soul, it cannot be used by Goetia nesting inside King Solomon's corpse.
Clairvoyance (EX Rank): Eyesight of good quality. Apprehension of long distance target and elevation of kinetic vision. When the rank is high enough, even x-ray vision or future prediction becomes possible. Solomon's Clairvoyance gives him an unobstructed view of both the past and the future. Due to Clairvoyance being a Skill embedded to the body, it can be used by Goetia. Romani Archaman claims that due to the potency of said skill, it can essentially be considered Omniscience.
Independent Manifestation (A Rank): A special Skill. A superior version of Independent Action. Furthermore, due to the existence fixation, it also possesses the effect of resistance toward attack by means of instant death and time manipulation. Those with the skill do not receive influence from the Human Order Incineration by means of singularities, or from the compilation of Human Order by means of *****, manifesting as long the requirement is fulfilled.
Goetia's main Noble Phantasm is Ars Almadel Salomonis, a band of light made up of all the Magical Energy gathered from Earth and the entire era where it manifests. Having converted 3,000 years worth of Human History into heat, the lightbelt is formed by Hundreds of Millions of beams of light, each as strong as the Holy Sword wielded by the King Arthur from the Fuyuki Singularity. Said attack can also penetrate the planet, and there is nothing on the surface of the Earth that surpasses its heat value. Despite Surtr's Loptr Laegjarn being powerful enough to incinerate the entire World, it only affects the present, and it would need to extend to the past as well to match the Human Order Incineration. Corrupted Ushiwakamaru considers Ars Almadel Salomonis the only Noble Phantasm that can destroy the Sea of Life and rival Tiamat. Sherlock Holmes states that even Goetia's light bands would be unable to destroy Chaos.
Goetia harvested so much Magical Energy to travel back in time to the Genesis of Earth and create a World without a Concept of Death. Reaching the apex is something not even Solomon could attain, and would have supposed absolute proof that he is the highest existence of the planet. In other words, the beginning of the great venture of becoming God.
Goetia's second Noble Phantasm is the Temple of Time Ars Paulina, a Conceptual Universe that exists in the Imaginary Space outside the normal flow of time. It is a Reality Marble that Goetia fabricated by amplifying the remains of King Solomon, and its structure is the same as Justeaze's Great Holy Grail. As long as this temple remains in Goetia's possession, the 72 Demon God Pillars will continuously revive, making him Immortal. Relinquishing possession of it causes the Pillars to be undone and Goetia becomes vulnerable.
Goetia also possesses Ars Nova, the first Noble Phantasm of Solomon. While he knows about it, he is not aware of its true nature.
Goetia, possessing Solomon's living body, takes on the role of Grand Caster for much of the story of Part 1.
Abilities
Having nested inside the corpse of King Solomon for a long time, and being the aggregate form of the seventy-two Demon Gods, Goetia has access to all his Skills and Noble Phantasms. While inhabiting Solomon's body he possessed a Saint Graph identical to that of a Grand Caster, as such his energy output was so much greater than that of regular Servants that no matter their rank they pose no threat to him. Whereas Servants are weapons meant to fight individuals he is a weapon meant to fight the world. Although Goetia commands supreme power as the King of Magecraft, Kingu claimed that even he wouldn't be able to stop Tiamat despite her not having fully awaken and being still restrained by the seals that had been placed on her.
« The Demon Gods have burned away. My temple is destroyed. My grand plan for the Incineration of Human Order dies with me. But, I will at least deny you this final victory. Let us begin... Master of Chaldea. I shall annihilate you, and all you've achieved, with my own hands. »
(Goetia, King of Men.)
The final form of Goetia, who after being defeated and everything had been settled, appeared in front of Ritsuka Fujimaru from inside the Temple.
After the Demon God Pillar colony collapsed, Goetia gained a very limited lifespan and became able to comprehend humans, something that until that point he was unable to do, finally reaching the state of a wise "human king" to surpass even the real King Solomon. After such epiphany, Goetia did not operate only with the violent emotion such as rage and resentment belonging to his previous self, but also with the natural emotion as a human that he now possessed, finally reaching an understanding. He held no anger towards the Ritsuka Fujimaru who had defeated him, after all even if he killed the protagonist the fact that Goetia had crumbled and had been defeated would not change. That last standing of his was simply "the last obstinacy as the one who had persevered until that moment".
Both in spirit and in action, rather than the last boss he had the feel of the main character instead. His body crumbled bit by bit during the battle; and even if it was regrettable he did not lament over it. His only real feeling was "So this is what being alive means. What life means." It was all to show respect to his magnificent opponent, all the while swallowing the emptiness of losing everything, and clash as enemies until the end. That was what granted unto him, the sole greatest reward for his 3000 years of grand undertaking.
« -----O Lord. My gratitude for this joy, of being alive. »
At the end, he vanished saying that albeit brief it was truly a splendid life, finally comprehending that human life is tragically short, yet strangely fascinating.
Human King Goetia possess a number of abilities centred around the use of his Rings of Solomon, such as the use of golden beams of magical energy, teleportation, and creating spherical cages of light around his opponents that close in and constrict a part of them before detonating in a subdued blast of darkness and then light. He possesses a high-number of Skills that gameplay-wise provide various buffs to himself and debuffs to his targets. Ten of these skills are numbered First Ring up to Tenth Ring, while the remaining Skills are Sage's Wisdom and Fool's Wisdom, and finally the Skill Ten Crowns.
His Noble Phantasm in this form is called Lord, Rejoice in Life, where his rings circle around in front of his outstretched hand before shooting a powerful blue beam of energy at his enemies that, in addition to being incredibly deadly or even lethal to weaker Servants, will lower the maximum health limit of any opponent that survives, similar to Gáe Buidhe.
---
The King of Humans that served as the primary long running antagonist in Grand Order. Being the sole cause of the existence of the Singularities. After the death of Solomon Goetia was designated as the Human Order Correction Protocol, an entity that exists to correct the wrongdoings of humanity. However, as time passes he began to change, where he would come to turn into the Human Order Incineration Protocol. Seeking to eradicate humanity and overwrite the entire history of the world, completely removing the concept of death. He would take over the body of Solomon and utilize him and his role as Grand Caster to alter history through the Singularities.
Tier
Continental 6-C to 6-B (each individual Demon God is considered superior to most individual servants and Phantasmal Beasts, where higher end servants like Artoria Pendragon struggled with a single one of them)| Planetary High 6-A (via Ars Almadel, an EX ranked anti humanity noble phantasm that erases all of humanity throughout all of history)| Cosmic 5-B (Ars Paulina completely rewrites the history of the world, completely erasing the concept of death from the world; can likely destroy an entire planet with Ars Almadel)| Likely Cosmic 5-A (at his strongest he is likely comparable to Tiamat, where the servant alliance could only defeat him by horribly nerfing him after Solomon erased the concept of himself from the world).
Abilities
Magic (Goetia can utilize any magic used by humanity, which includes that of most casters and magus's), Forcefield Creation, Energy Manipulation, Time Travel, Mind and Soul Manipulation (upon making eye contact with Goetia the opponent will have their mind and soul completely ripped out of their body and cast down to purgatory, if someone possesses resistance then they will breakdown and lose themselves in their own flaws), Soul Absorption (can absorb souls to replenish energy and stamina), Clairvoyance (can see through the past, present, and future all at once), Resurrection (can summon himself from the Throne of Heroes upon his demise), Summoning (can summon the 72 Demon Pillars), Possession (he can force the Demon Pillars into opponents to take control of them), Nullification (any magic used by humanity will be nullified via Solomon's rings), Reality Warping (with Ars Paulina he can completely alter the world and its history), Existence Erasure (as an EX ranked anti humanity noble phantasm, Ars Almadel completely erases humanity throughout all of history), Planetary Devastation (through the usage of Ars Almadel, he is capable of firing a blast from the sky with enough power to incinerate the world, where the blast itself is roughly the size of North America), Status Effect Inducement (the 3rd ring of Solomon debuffs an enemies attack and the 5th ring debuffs their defense), Regeneration, Regeneration Nullification (the 6th ring of Solomon greatly slows an opponents regeneration rate), Status Effect Removal (the 9th ring removes all status effect inducements from himself, allies, and enemies), Statistics Amplification (can amplify his own and his allies stats), Invulnerability (grants himself invulnerability for short periods of time via the 8th ring), and Resistance (heavily resistant to any form of magic or supernatural ability used by a human; also highly resistant to all forms of magic via Nega Summon).
Destructive Capacity
Island to Country Level (even the lower end Demon Pillars like Leff Lynor and Makiri Zouken are capable of overwhelming most higher end servants; has also been shown to casually kill servants with normal spells, such as killing servants like Sakata Kintoki and other Saber class servants)| Multi Continental (Ars Almadel completely incinerates the world and has been stated to being equal to 100,000,000 Excaliburs, capable of erasing humanity throughout history)| Planet Level (Ars Paulina completely rewrites the history of the world, erasing the concept of death)| Likely Large Planet Level (as Beast I, Goetia should be relatively comparable to Beast II, Tiamat).
Speed
At least Massively Hypersonic+ (capable of effortlessly taking on an entire alliance of servants, where that includes top tier servants like Gilgamesh and Solomon)| Massively Hypersonic+ (being a beast, Goetia is superior to any singular servant in existence, which is inclusive of Enkidu who can utilize this feat, also including servants like Achilles, the fastest servant in existence)| Likely sub relativistic - relativistic (depending on the distance that Enkidu traveled into space, likely passed the exosphere)| much higher reactions with Clairvoyance.
Durability
Island to Country Level (even the lowest end Demon Pillars are capable to tanking anti fortress noble phantasms like Excalibur)| Planet Level (Capable of taking blows from an entire alliance of servants and coming out relatively unscathed, they were only capable of wounding him after he was heavily nerfed)| Higher with Invulnerability.
Intelligence/Personality
Goetia is a genius, so much so that he set a plan in motion centuries in the past, in order to alter the world's history. He is known for being overconfident and exceptionally sadistic, having full confidence in his own abilities (one of the biggest causes of his defeat was because he chose not to acknowledge the alliance and thought they were insignificant). He is considered a genius in battle, possessing intellect that rivals that of Solomon's. Out of all the beasts that have debuted thus far, he is considered the most intelligent of them. Being the only one that has thoroughly utilized his intelligence in battle (Kiara kind of did, but he's definitely more intelligent). This being paired with the fact he can see the past, present, and future all at once, as well as peer into different timelines to see multiple outcomes made him nigh unbeatable against the alliance. Being that Goetia is the beast that represents pity, he will always mirror the demeanor of his opponents. Where he will remain calm if his opponent is calm, angry if his opponent is angry, or bloodlusted if his opponent is bloodlusted. He has also been shown to gloat rather often and mock any opponent that he looks down on.
Notable Abilities/Skills:
Revelation
A skill completely significant to Solomon and Goetia. It is very similar to that of Gilgamesh's Sha Nagba Imuru, where he hears the "voice of God", where he gains knowledge of any necessary action to achieve a goal. Automatically learning how to achieve the best possible outcome in any scenario. Even Ruler, a servant that is the most knowledgeable out of all the servants in a Grail War, had no idea what the basis to this ability was. This ability is wielded by Solomon and Goetia alone due to Solomon's connection to God and Goetia's connection to Solomon.
Clairvoyance
A skill possessed by many servants (mostly Archers and Casters), it grants a form of foresight. Due to possessing an EX rank in this skill, Goetia can view the past, present, and future simultaneously. Even being capable of peering into different timelines in order to see multiple possibilities. Not only can this grant him a form of precognition, but it can also grant him the highest potential for ranged attacks. Making it so that he can cast spells or utilize magic at an incredibly long distance with almost 100% accuracy. Due to having an EX rank and that he can utilize any magic used by humans, he can use this at a far grander scale than a servant like Chiron, who is noted for his accuracy.
Solomon's Rings
The 10 rings of Solomon that grant him numerous capabilities. As long as he wields all 10 of them, his abilities are amplified greatly. Essentially making it so he can amplify himself and allies, debuff enemies, nullify any form of magic or supernatural ability used by humans, or even grant himself brief invulnerability. As an added effect of the rings and the fact he uses the King of Magic as his host, he can use any form of magecraft used by humanity. Granting him the abilities of most Caster class servants and human Magus's.
Territory Creation
This allows him to designate any specific area as his own "territory". Due to using the body of Solomon, this skill doesn't have any specific rank. As he is the Grand Caster, that means he has the highest end territory creation out of all Caster class servants (implying it's EX ranked). He has shown to even utilize this ability to make enormous constructs, creating an enormous temple that exists outside time itself. The range for this is unknown, but it is implied that he can utilize this at a planetary scale, as he has been able to completely alter the flow of history through the Singularities. Plus this is paired with the fact Ars Paulina is a territory based skill and completely rewrites the history of the world.
Summoning
While he can still summon standard servants to aid himself if he has the proper means to make a contract, this is not all he can do. He possesses the power to summon the 72 Demon Pillars. Where it takes an entire alliance to conflict a single Demon Pillar and they can even be manifested through powerful servants. He can also force them into opponents or allies in order to possess and control them. The Demon Pillars he has shown the capability to summon are.....

Ars Almadel Salomonis: The Time of Birth has Come, He Who Hath At Birth Mastered All
The third Noble Phantasm of Solomon and one shared by Goetia, however unlike Solomon, Goetia is more than happy to utilize the ability. This ability exists in order to eradicate all sinners. It possesses something similar to existence erasure, where upon usage, it incinerates all mankind through the course of the past, present, and future. Eradicating beings from all timelines from existence. Unlike Solomon, Goetia is not restricted by his kind nature where in turn he is more than happy to utilize the ability. It has been stated that it has power equal to 100,000,000 Excaliburs and possesses heat far higher than anything the world has ever seen. The attack itself when utilized is roughly the size of North America, firing a blast the size of the entire continent directly onto the target.
Ars Paulina: The Time of Crowning has Come, He is the One Who Begins All
This ability works in a manner based around territory creation. Where he completely rewrites the history of the world in order to alter the course of history and erase the concept of death. However, this ability takes an enormous amount of energy and thus either requires enormous prep or the usage of Ars Almadel (in order to harvest humanity as energy). It allows him to rewrite the events of history as he pleases. The only way to counter the ability is to visit all events in history and prevent the Singularities so that history cannot be overwritten. Requiring a form of time travel in order to counter it.

The seventy-two Demon Gods of Solomon are his Daemon familiars. There is an art for employing daemons among the knowledge that King Solomon left behind, but said manuscript would later be named Lemegeton or Goetia. In Fate/Grand Order, they are referred to as Demon God Pillars for their appearance, with the term for "pillar" being a literal interpretation of the collective noun used in Japanese for the 72 Demons of the Goetia.
Each has their own distinctive personality, but they are also a hive-mind coalesced into Beast I, Goetia, that took over the body of Solomon after his death. Through their control of Ars Paulina, they could continuously revive no matter how many times they are fought. In the Solomon anime movie, Flauros reveals that, as the name 72 Demon God Pillars is symbolic of their entire existence instead of individuals, there will always be 72 Demon God Pillars no matter what happens to some of their members. In order to kill the Demon God Pillars, all 72 of them need to be destroyed at once, else they will just restore each other. As the Demon God Pillars are also the space and temple of Ars Paulina itself, the use of Ars Nova undoes this ability by removing the power of the Temple of Time, leading to its destruction, and undoing the union of the immortal colony of the 72 Pillars, causing them to become individual Demons and preventing the Pillars from reviving their fallen numbers.
The Demon Gods' pillar forms can differ in appearance but they all share a similar shape, resembling a cephalopod tentacle with rings of eyes (either round or angular) in place of suckers. Colors vary depending on the pillar, though a large number have black skin and red eyes.
The Demon Gods' pillars are massive in scale, their eyes alone are each multiple times the size of a regular human. The pillars are covered in a surface layer of human bodies. The pilled up bodies are mixed, from the young to the old, the ugly to the beautiful, each frozen with different expressions according to the moment they were absorbed (Agony, Pain, Sadness, Anger, etc). These piles of bodies are three meters deep, below which are the Pillar's actual muscles and blood vessels. Eventually, after they are assimilated and absorbed, the bodies are covered and dotted with deep red lines similar to "Dark Sakura". After being covered by the Demon God's "blood", the bodies will eventually break down and more "blood" will be created.
The Demon Gods are a type of djinn, as well as considered as "Higher-order information lifeforms".
Following Solomon's death and Goetia assuming his identity, a curse was implanted into the Magic Crests of select magus bloodlines which would transform the carriers of the crest into Demon Gods after a set amount of time, erasing their original personality. To ensure that the bloodlines would survive to the designated time, the story of the Coronal Rank DesignationGrand Order was spread as a way of preventing suicide. With his servants appearing at certain intervals over 3000 years, creating singularities and harvesting energy, Goetia gathered the energy required for Ars Almadel Salomonis and his plan.
In the Final Singularity, all of the seventy-two Demon Pillars were manifested. Each of the bases within the singularity; the Melting Furnace, the Information Center, the Observatory , the Control Tower, the Armory, the Gazing Star, the Chamber of Life and the Trash Heap, were each administrated by nine pillars unified under a representative, with Goetia on the throne acting as the Control Center. Though each of the Demon Pillars regenerated upon defeat, the Servants from the previous singularities manifested and fought them to create an opportunity for Ritsuka Fujimaru to reach the throne.
After the true Solomon's sacrifice through Ars Nova, returning the gifts he had received from God to the heavens and removing Goetia's immortality, the pillars fell into disarray and eventually ceased activity as Goetia collapsed.
It is later revealed that Baal, Phenex, Zepar and Raum survived Goetia's destruction.
The bases are separated between the Eastern Section, with the Observatory, the Armory and the Chamber of Life, and the Western Section, with the Information Center, the Control Tower and the Gazing Star.

Solomon, Class Name Caster, is a Caster-class Servant summoned by Marisbury Animusphere in the first summoning ritual performed by Chaldea Security Organization, participating in the First Fuyuki Holy Grail War of the Fate/Grand Order timeline. He qualifies for the position of Grand Caster .
Solomon, who was named the King of Magecraft for his mastery over magecraft, was the son of David and Bathsheba. Alive from around 1011 BC to 900 BC, he ruled as the third King of ancient Israel, and was said to be a great king who made the country enormously prosper. He was known for making many excellent political measures in his position as king, but also left behind many anecdotes as a magus. He married the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh, but was said to be later visited by God while he was dreaming on his bed. God said to Solomon, "You are qualified. Speak your wishes. I shall grant them", but Solomon only sought wisdom more so than gold or political power. The answer satisfied God, the answer being proof that Solomon possessed the qualifications to obtain "true wisdom." Solomon awoke with ten rings upon both hands, the proof of a wise man recognized by God. Those rings came to be recognized as the Ring of Solomon, the "source of the magecraft that employs angels and demons."
Solomon came to be known for employing seventy-two Demon Gods as his familiars, later leaving behind a manuscript that came to be called the Lemegeton or Goetia that tells of the art of controlling demons. He was the first individual to build the Temple of Israel. During his tenure, Solomon only accomplished a single miracle, but that was also said to exemplify his prudence. It was said that the people knowing that "the king is receiving God's protection" only a single time was best because more miracles could have served to frighten or corrupt the people. His single revelation established a "phenomena operation technique", magecraft that could be performed by the hands of the common man that previously belonged only to those with connections to the Gods. Even without needing to utilize magecraft, Solomonas recognized by his reputation as the King of Magecraft throughout neighboring countries and was said to have left the world as a wise king.
His death marked a great acceleration in the decline of Mystery, leading to the demise of the Age of Gods five hundred years before the time of King Arthur.
Some myths also tell that Solomon wedded the Queen of Sheba, who traveled to Jerusalem and tested Solomon's wisdom with three riddles.
Brishisan, the Director of the Mage's Association, and Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, the wielder of the Second Magic, were Solomon's students.
Personality
Introverted, self-assured and passive. A laid-back king, without a hint of seriousness. The gist of his personality is "self-assured", but this is simply the power to "not read the mood". Thus, he is merely making statements on a self-assured manner, and his nature is that of a chicken. Although serious, he is not earnest and is constantly living at 80% power. He properly ascertained people, properly established laws and properly governed the country. Despite lacking in vigor, he was loved and respected by the masses as a wise, gentle king who was full of love.
Yet, none of those traits came from Solomon's own will. Having been ordained as a king from the moment he was born, Solomon had no choice but to hear the voice of God and act accordingly. His psyche is dispassionate and (having been deprived of the freedom to sympathize with the joys and sorrows of people) inhuman.
A gentle king that gives off a relaxed sense. "Confidence" is his main characteristic, but it is actually only his ability of being "unable to read the mood". As a result, he only makes statements in a confident manner, but is actually a coward (chicken) in his basic nature. Diligent but not earnest, he lives by putting only 80% of his maximum effort.
He properly ascertained of the people, properly established the law, and properly governed the country.
Although he is somewhat lacking in mettle, he is a wise and kind king, full of love, respected and beloved by his people. However, all of those traits are not actually by Solomon's own will.
From his birth, he had been ordained to be a king, to hear the voice of God and to live in accordance to it. There is no emotion within him; he is inhuman, deprived of the autonomy to sympathize with the joy and sorrow of the people.
It is only when he becomes Romani Archaman that he finally acquires his original human nature.
His root is that of a pessimist and realist. Even though he speaks of wishful thinking as a mood maker, due to himself unable to think of that as more than pipe dreams, he is quite shameless in some respects.
He loves humans, but because he's a coward in nature who "does not want to see sad things", he ends up limiting himself with superficial relationships. On the other hand, he is capable of being good terms with pretty much everybody. Your typical affable friendly guy. When being faced with a dilemma, he has the bad habit of choosing to stay undecided and devoting himself to just observe, or just straight up runs away, so that the status quo is maintained. Due to Roman himself reflecting on that weakness of his, it only needs a few words, for someone in his surroundings to simply say "hang in there", for him to somehow hold his ground and display a resolution worthy of the King of Magecraft.
Incidentally, any Servants would end up having "I don't know the reason but this guy's the one at fault here" as their first impression for Roman; and due to that they will unconsciously complain about him. The only ones who don't judge him negatively are those who aren't Servants, the contrarians, and the Berserkers that don't perceive evil as evil.
Solomon was the first successful Heroic Spirit summoned servant by Chaldea. He and Marisbury Animusphere emerged victorious in Fuyuki's Holy Grail War, Solomon wished for a life as a normal human and became Romani Archaman. The wish he entrusted to the Holy Grail was "to become human". Through the power of the Holy Grail, he did not "incarnate as a Heroic Spirit", but instead was reborn as a new human that had no relation to King Solomon.
Romani Archaman reveals his identity as Solomon, as Goetia readies to kill Ritsuka Fujimaru. He calls life a pilgrimage of suffering, though it isn't a story of death and separation. He then declares to Goetia that he will personally pass judgement on him. Goetia mocks him for appearing at the very end as mere Heroic Spirit, claiming only the living Solomon can stop him now. He tries to kill Solomon with Ars Almadel Salomonis, only for Solomon to activate Ars Nova. With its activation, Solomon and his creations will be removed from existence.
Returning to being Romani, Solomon confesses he and Goetia reached opposing conclusion, despite seeing the same things, because he lacked the freedom to get mad. He confirms to Ritsuka that he'll no longer be a Heroic Spirit. He proclaims with the complete annihilation of Solomon, the Age of Gods will truly come to an end. He confesses Ritsuka and Mash taught him to do the right thing, even when it's painful. He realizes that it isn't fair, and apologizes for being inconsiderate right to the end.
Solomon then tells Goetia that his immortality is no more. He reveals Goetia was a spell meant to watch over humanity before Goetia abandoned his duty. Goetia questions the worth of his duty as an omnipotent collective to watch over humans, lamenting that every human's life is a story of hate and despair. Solomon tells him that he fails to understand that nothing is eternal, and pain awaits everyone in the end. However that doesn't make life a story of despair, rather it's a repetition of meeting and parting despite knowing there's an end. Solomon concludes that human life are stories of love and hope.
Goetia calls his words nonsense, and declares he will activate his Noble Phantasm before the last of the Demon Gods is gone. Solomon tells Ritsuka not to worry about him, and to fight until they claim perfect, total victory. He tells them everything they and Mash have done has led to this point. He then disappears smiling at Ritsuka thanking him for everything.
Solomon was first mentioned in Garden of Avalon, with Merlin explaining that the decline of Mystery had been accelerating since his death.

Abilities
Having reached the top of the Caster class by meeting high standards in both power and legends, Solomon meets the necessary requirements to be summoned as Grand Caster. As a Grand Servant, Solomon possesses a special Saint Graph of a rank above normal Servants and therefore stands at the pinnacle of all Heroic Spirits. However, when summoned as a regular Caster class Servant, his power has been greatly decreased when comparing it to how it was when he was alive. This was confirmed by Goetia, who said that the real alive Solomon could have stopped him and regarded his Heroic Spirit counterpart as a pathetic fool that would be no match for him.
SkillsClass
Skills
Territory Creation (Rank A): Creation of a "Workshop" territory that is advantageous to himself as a magus. That ability of his that had created the Temple of Jerusalem is of the highest peak of Territory Creation.
High-Speed Incantation (Rank C): The ability to hasten thaumaturgical incantation speed. Despite being fast, his tendency to worry prones to ruin it and sometimes makes him do a mistake.
Item Construction (Rank C): Creation of tools tinged with magical energy. Perhaps because he is specialized in contracts, his Item Construction ability is on average level.
Personal Skills
Summoning (Rank EX): Magecraft that evokes of spiritual bodies of the past, or perhaps the future. With his Evocation ability that spoke of the summoned spiritual existences, the "Seventy Two Demon Gods", and established them as capable familiars, he truly lived up to his title of King of Magecraft.
Solomon's Rings (Rank EX): The ten Rings given by God that made Solomon attain Omnipotence and gave him command of angels and demons. The mark of the king, the progenitor of magecraft. In the case of all ten rings present, any and all kinds of magecraft performed by mankind is invalidated and put under his subordination. They are regarded by Dr. Roman as the greatest catalyst possible a master can prepare to fight in a Holy Grail War. After wishing upon the grail to become a human, Solomon no longer possess all ten rings. The only reason he was in possession of one during the Solomon Singularity is that it was the same one Marisbury Animusphere had used as a Catalyst to summon him to win the First Fuyuki Holy Grail War of the Fate/Grand Order timeline which Dr. Roman kept up to that moment.
Clairvoyance (Rank EX): Eyesight of good quality. Apprehension of long distance target and elevation of kinetic vision. When the rank is high enough, even x-ray vision or future prediction becomes possible. Solomon's Clairvoyance gives him unobstructed view of both the past and the future. Dr. Roman said that due to the potency of said skill, it can essentially be considered omniscience.
Revelation (Rank B): A Skill that hears of "the voice from the Heavens" and performs the most suitable of actions. While "Instinct" is a sixth sense for combat purpose, Revelation conforms to all matters in regards to achieving a goal (such as selecting the most suitable road for travel route). Solomon had only ever received one Revelation but based on that he had established the phenomena operation technique—that is, magecraft—that even an ordinary person could perform. (Until then, magecraft had been a work only for those related to the gods.)
Solomon has three Noble Phantasms: Ars Nova, Ars Paulina and Ars Almadel Salomonis.
---
Magecraft is the artificial reenactment of Mystery, which is ordinarily possible only by inhuman beings.
Magecraft is the multifaceted ability to bring about what is possible through science with supernatural means; although the process is considered a miracle, the result is not. The limits of magecraft have changed with time, as science evolved and what was scientifically impossible became possible. For example: a magus might be able to shoot fire with their bare hands; but if he wanted to shoot fire, it would also be more efficient to simply use a blowtorch. Ultimately, magecraft is nothing more than a practice to shorten the process of possible methods for the individual.
There exists no impossibility for modern magecraft within unidiosyncratic understanding and limits of human intellect; there are limitations, however, when it is possible only by miracle. These limitations cannot be bypassed with Magic, as Magic is the actualization of impossible events and not miraculous ones. The Holy Grail, however, can bypass these limitations of events possible only by miracle.
Being originally Magic, magecraft draws upon a predetermined power from the Root, as well as Mystery. Indeed, magecraft is, in essence, Mystery. However, since the beginning of the Common Era, human history has been in the process of systematically erasing Mysteries. As the light of science expands, the darkness of Mystery recedes, and humanity has reached the point where everything is explainable with human knowledge, from the workings of nature to the operation of the cosmos that was once the purview of the heavens, anything that was once beyond the ken of man. No matter how magi resist this fact, this law remains unbent. The Mysteries of the Age of Gods have become so distant that even realizing them temporarily in the modern world is next to impossible.
If it is believed that the topic of a Mystery exists, the planet permits its existence. Only falsification of said belief is fatal. For example, even though the majority of modern humans reject the existence of ghosts, modern science cannot outright demonstrate that they do not exist, and, thus, within the unconscious, there lurks the vague suspicion that ghosts might indeed exist. This sort of suspicion falls under the category of faith. Ignorance is the force that opposes faith. If the existence of ghosts is itself utterly unknown, faith cannot foment.
The main aim of the magi's Thaumaturgical Systems is to transcend limitations. If something cannot be achieved with modern magecraft, the magi research and develop their magecraft just for the sake of changing that. Powerful magecrafts like Grand Magecraft and Grand Rituals are ultimately challenges in order to reach the goal called Magic. After a certain point of development, differences between power and even between Magic and magecraft start to lose their importance in practical terms. Battles between two great magi will not be decided by their power, but by who possesses the Thaumaturgical System whose rules has the fewer tiers. It is not the power behind them, but the concepts they work under.
Magecraft governs skills of past humans, as long as they remain inexplicable to science. Science gathers future technology unreachable to magecraft. The two disciplines are absolutely incompatible with each other, but they are similar in a single respect. The pursuers of each practice seek continued prosperity, protecting the future of Humanity. It can be said that magecraft is something that modern science can replace, and that on the other hand, it is also possible for magecraft to replace science. Magecraft can be classified as human wisdom and the world wisdom, focusing on the study of history, the works of man and the life cycle of the planet.
During the Age of Gods, magecraft was originally Magic; as result, magi of that era were considered Magicians. However, the distinction between magecraft and Magic has widened since that time, two millennia ago. As science advanced, the number of "things that could be done with magecraft" increased, causing Magic to diminish. If "what was once possible only through Magic" becomes achievable through advances in magecraft or scientific technology, that Magic will be demoted to a mere "craft"; this is how many Magics were lost from this world.
The state of magecraft varies greatly between different Parallel Worlds. In the Fate/EXTRA world in the 2030s, although magecraft has died out, Wizards are able to utilize Codecasts both in the virtual world and real world; and the Wizards also possess Magic Crests. The world of Tsuki no Sango is "a degenerated world where magecraft yet lingers". In the world of Fate/Requiem, Mystery is largely exposed (though not entirely, and the Mage's Association still exists), and magecraft is common knowledge, though just like in the world before not everybody has the capacity to be a magus. The magical energy supplied to everybody by the Holy Grail of the Mosaic City via Ley Lines can be used for simple magecraft.
Equivalent Exchange
Equivalent Exchange is the primary rule of magecraft.
At its core, magecraft is merely the manifestation of things that already exist or occur in reality, albeit with a slight disregard for time and materials required. Phenomena not of this universe (objects that do not exist anymore) are impossible to reproduce. In order to create something, either another object must be given as a price, or an existing object is modified. Even if there was magecraft that allowed one to go to the moon, it would still require preparation with costs on par with—or even exceeding—that of actually creating a rocket.
The base of all magecraft is the use of magical energy to produce something that either already exists or can exist. That which falls into the Phantasm category, something made entirely out of images (without another object), will eventually be wiped out by the planet for being in conflict with this rule.
Shirou Emiya is able to bypass this rule to some extent when it comes to his Projections, since everything that he traces is actually being pulled out of his own Inner World by the power of his Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works.
It is also standard amongst magi to make up for every deed, item or piece of information given to them with repayment of equal value.
Thaumaturgical SystemMain article: List of Magic Spells
Thaumaturgical System is the general term used to refer to the several modern schools of magecraft such as Astromancy, Kabbalah, Alchemy, and Shinsendou. Divergences can be found among different Thaumaturgical Systems, but the fundamental basis is "to convert magical energy inside the user's body to transform the external world".
The practitioner acts in accord with the command to the system that each Thaumaturgical System operates under to execute a pre-built program. That "program" is a set of universal rules that interfere with nature once they are enforced. The power that enforces those rules is the magical energy of the magus and the command to do it is made through his Magic Circuits. The greater the interference, the greater will be the amount of magical energy consumed.
Known Thaumaturgical Systems
Curses aren't taught at the Mage's Association, and they are far behind the Thaumaturgical Systems of the Middle East on that subject. Curses have a strong presence within the Japanese supernatural world.
The Taiji is a philosophy originated in ancient China, a graphical representation of the Yin-Yang theory. Those who practice western magecraft are incompatible with Chinese philosophies.
Alchemy – A Thaumaturgical System that focuses its studies around the flow of matter, most Alchemists research on conversion of matter, but those of Atlas delve in the conversion of phenomena.
Kabbalah – Kabbalah, the Hebrew word for "Receiving", is a major Thaumaturgical System from the Middle East and Europe, centered mainly around deciphering hidden codes in holy scriptures. Its name was coined by Avicebron in the world of Type Moon, however, that is not true for real history. Avicebron uses the book of Yetzirah for the creation of Golems. Aoko Aozaki uses one of Kabbalah's ancient branches, the Notarikon. Other branches include the Temurah and Gematria, the latter which was the basis for the Numerology of Michael Roa Valdamjong (Remake). The Tree of Life also makes several appearances in Fate/Grand Order.
A Thaumaturgical Foundation, also known as Greater Magic Formula is a cluster of Magic Formulae, each of which runs a magecraft (program) written within it when a magus connects his Magic Circuits to it and sends magical energy and commands.
Each Thaumaturgical System forms their own "engraving" the basis of its Thaumaturgical Theory into the Planet Earth and the further its member is away from his Thaumaturgical Foundation, the weaker the effect of his magecraft becomes. Engraved into the Earth's Ley Lines, its strength can be greatly influenced by the faith and the collective unconscious of the people. It is not uncommon for a Thaumaturgical Foundation weak in faith to not work properly when used outside its place of origin.
The Thaumaturgical Foundations are seen by ordinary people as scholarship or religion and the Church's Teachings and Holy Words is the Thaumaturgical Theory whose Thaumaturgical Foundation is the most widespread with the greatest number of believers and effective area in the World making Holy Sacraments possible. Black Magic's Thaumaturgical Foundation is also spread globally, though the Icecolle family lost their power once they moved from western Europe to Siberia to escape witch-hunting.
Note that the case is different with Thaumaturgical Foundations that are not scholarship or religion but rather are passed down through personal orally transmitted teachings, the limited inheritance in clans, etc. As long as the rules of those Thaumaturgical Foundations are met, it is possible to exhibit the same basic effect no matter where one is in the world. Some magi use Magic Formulae not included within any Thaumaturgical Foundation.
The organization handling patents relating to magecraft is the Clock Tower. Several elements affect magecraft, like the position of the stars or the Ley Lines, and it is important to make sure that different spells are compatible when combined. The magecraft of spring cannot be used with that of winter. If someone wants to create a new Magic Formula, they need to face these issues every time. For that reason, magi make a living by obtaining a license from the Department of Policies for every new Magic Formula created, so other people would have to pay to use them.
These patents are only awarded from the Carillon Observatory in the Spiritual Tomb of Albion. Lord El-Melloi II is notorious among magi for using his talent to analyze others' magecraft in order to copy and change their research slightly, so that he can file patents on it under his own name. Touko Aozaki earns more than £10,000 a month through her many patents, and the current finances of the Tohsaka family are being covered by the patent royalties that are being transferred to their account, annual income amounting to roughly eight figures in yen. The Carillon Observatory is also used to observe the surface, using a Mystic Code connected to Ley Lines to report periodically on the activation of patented magecraft over the world.
Incantations is the first step to activate magecrafts of an established Thaumaturgical System followed by a strict set of protocol. When compared to the application process of a document, the act of application, acceptance, review, and issuance, Incantations is the "application" step of magecraft.
It is mostly a convention when utilizing magecraft with a broad Thaumaturgical Foundation, but it has potent self-suggestive powers for those who practice their own style of magecraft. As the Magic Circuits that shape magecraft already exist inside a magus' body, Incantations are the "personal adage" that help the magi transform themselves, a method to efficiently activate and mobilize the Magic Circuits.
It is not a method used to speak to the Earth, but to oneself. Different magi will utilize different Incantations even for the same spell due to their distinct natures. Spells that speak to the Earth, classified as grand magecraft or grand rituals, and not to the individual are impossible for an individual to use under normal circumstances.
The Five Great Elements are the basic substances that shape the world. The combination of them changes depending on the teachings of Thaumaturgical Systems: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Void (Ether) or Water, Fire, Earth, Wood and Metal.
A magus normally is good at manipulating at least one Element. Some magi have more than one Elemental Affinity; those who have all of Five Great Elements as their Elemental Affinities are given the title of Wielder of Five Great Elementsand highly valued by the Mage's Association.
Usually said individuals try to master spells that make use of more than one Element at the same time (e.g. "liquid manipulation" through the use of Water and Wind Elements). On the other hand, there are cases of those who can manipulate Elements that are completely different from any of the ones specified above. Within the Mage's Association, individuals like these tend to be from either very selective houses or not be part of the Mage's Association at all.
To identify which of Five Great Elements their Elemental Affinity is, magi use the process Consecration composed of the use of sage, tarot cards and personality tests. Fire is called normal and Wind is said to be noble. Though methods to change one's Elemental Affinity exist, they are very painful and dangerous.
Thaumaturgical Attribute, also called Sorcery Trait, is one of the components that determines the effect of one's magecraft. Thaumaturgical Attributes add meaning to elemental magecraft and expand its versatility. There are multiple types, such as Reinforcement, Projection and Conversion.
Generally, each magus' lineage is specialized in a certain Thaumaturgical Attribute. This is dependent on generations of research, and the types of Mysteries engraved in the Magic Crest. Thus, family Thaumaturgical Attributes cannot be changed in the short term. Besides it, a magus can acquire another and first-rate magi tend to possess multiple Thaumaturgical Attributes.
Origin is the starting point that defines one's existence and directs one's actions throughout life. It is the driving force that comes from within the Root that has managed to stream out of the Source and take on material form. The form it can take on at times is that of a human being, and all humans match their actions to be in harmony with the driving force that originated them from the moment they enter into the world.
These actions are more along the lines of an inherent compulsion that could be called a person's instinct rather than a conscious decision. If a person becomes awakened to their Origin, it becomes nearly impossible to stray from their Origin if it's even possible in the first place. It becomes an impulsive behavior one would follow as though it were an absolute order. The Ryougi Family is able to awaken the Origin of newborns, and Souren Araya is capable of awakening one to their Origin after receiving consent from the person beforehand. Araya claims that death and Origins are related, and his various experiments on death are used to further his knowledge on them.
Under the system of magecraft, Origins are used to describe precise details about a magus, while Elemental Affinity indicates one's general alignment. Magi with an Origin that is strongly expressed outwardly are sometimes removed from the normal alignments and there are times that the Origin itself becomes the alignment. Most of those magi exhibit their talents as extreme specialists, allowing them to potentially reach higher grounds than normal magi. Even those without an Elemental Affinity are sometimes still capable of casting Spells simply by following their Origin. It's possible for them to overcome great obstacles such as a lack of Magic Circuits or a lack of talent for magecraft altogether. Shirou Emiya's Origin is Sword and his alignment as a magus is also Sword. He is unable to use magecraft of the Five Great Elements with precision because he doesn't have any of them as an alignment, but it does allow for the manifestation of Unlimited Blade Works.
One field of research within the Department of Individual Fundamentals involves bringing forth factors from cells, but the field is vetoed all the time by Lord Solonea due to many incidents involving Origins. Novice magi who don't have experience become prisoners to their own Origins, leading to them being labeled as examples of foolish students during lectures.
Resistance is a power inherent to anyone with Magic Circuits; the capacity to resist spells which aim to control the target by the spiritual medium (those along the lines of sleep, paralysis and coercion). By circulating magical energy inside one's Magic Circuits, magi can reject outside magical energy that tries to invade his/her self. Therefore, it is possible to disrupt a spell before it can complete itself.
A very efficient form of defense, it makes it difficult to affect even lesser magi. Also, those who are not magi but still possess Magic Circuits may unconsciously protect themselves like this. Because of it, most magi use spells capable of physical interference rather than just spiritual ones.
However, what is being rejected is the magical energy; the spell itself is not nullified. A spell that has already been completed and is manifesting its effects cannot be cancelled like this. Medea, however, is an exception. She can disrupt even completed spells due to her absurd amount of magical energy and because the structure of modern magecraft's spells are far inferior to those of her time.
Breathing and Walking
Breathing and Walking is a key concept in magecraft and Martial Arts. Though mainly affecting one's physical fitness, it also plays a role in the strength of nature interference. The absorption of outer energy (breath of life) to connect your inner world to the outer world. The acts of inspiring, expiring and everything in between are part of a process that allows one to take in or release the gods.
The magi use spells to cause a specific phenomenon to occur, but those whose breathing, movement, body and very existence can cause nature interference are beyond that. An example would be the Shinto practice of banishing Evil Spirits and other unnatural forces just by clapping. However, this particular skill is something that takes a lifetime to learn.
Not valued by western magi, but among the teachings of the east, the techniques of Breathing and Walking are high-level secrets that can't just be imitated or easily learned. Therefore, Eastern Thaumaturgical Systems always search for at least one individual capable of mastering them in a generation.
Sometimes however, there are those who are simply born with the "proper way of Breathing and Walking". As a result, their own body acts as one pure, natural Magic Circuit. Those humans can reproduce greater Mysteries than the magi without knowing anything about magecraft. When found while still in their childhood, they are treated as holy children or prodigies and usually taken in by those who follow the supernatural path. Still, there are cases of those who grow up without learning about their true nature.
Souichirou Kuzuki's Martial Arts training gave him some proficiency in this skill, although it is nothing near the level of magecraft. Shirou Emiya's daily magecraft training involves breathing exercises and during the fight with Gilgamesh he tried to bring his breathing pace down to normal conditions.

The Beasts of Calamity symbolizing the seven Evils of Man, is an Extra Class that manifests as calamities that threaten human history. The Grand Servants are fail-safes summoned forth to counteract them. Beasts are typically a larger class of Saint Graph beyond the scope of Servant Saint Graphs, but they do share the characteristics of Parameters, Skills, and Noble Phantasms.
Manifestation in the capacity of a normal Servant is an atypical state for Beasts, requiring them to reach a neutral state where it is permissible to fight for the Human Order while still being a Beast. For Beasts from Proper Human History, Sodom's Beast/Draco is the only one able to naturally reach that state. Those from outside the scope of Proper Human History can also reach such a state, such as Beasts from the Servant Universe.
The variation UnBeast, The Ascendant from Thither, designates one that is a "Beast but not a Beast," said by U-Olga to represent a "Beast who negates [her] own Beasthood." As summoning Beast Servants is directly against the way summoning Servants is meant to work and they're the very things Grand Servants exist to combat, "Grand Beast" does not exist even within the Grand Extra Class Grand Graph. If a Beast Servant becomes a Grand Servant through the power of the U-Medal adding Beast to the Grand Graph, their Class Name is changed to UnBeast.
