Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Fire-Type Pokémon Eggs

"So many this time?"

Kawaki was very surprised.

Officer Jenny nodded, explaining, "Not long ago, there was a fire near Mt. Chimney because a Trainer's campfire wasn't completely extinguished, causing stray sparks to be blown by the wind, igniting dry leaves by the roadside. Many wild Pokémon were injured as a result."

Kawaki suddenly understood, "I see!"

His gaze swept over the batch of eggs.

Lines of information immediately appeared from the eggs.

"Numel's Egg", "Slugma's Egg", "Torkoal's Egg", "Machop's Egg", "Ponyta's Egg", "Tyrogue's Egg", "Geodude's Egg"

Kawaki was slightly stunned.

These are—so many Fire-type Pokémon eggs?!

However, he immediately understood when he thought about the origin of these eggs.

Mt. Chimney is a volcano, although it is currently dormant and has barely erupted in recent years, many Fire-type Pokémon still inhabit the vicinity.

Thinking of this, Kawaki nodded and said to Officer Jenny, "I understand. I will take good care of these children."

Officer Jenny smiled and nodded, saying, "In that case, I'll leave them to you. I still have some matters to attend to, so I won't bother you. See you later!"

"See you later!"

After seeing Jenny off, Kawaki brought the eggs back to the Breeding House.

Under the curious gazes of the various Pokémon, he and Bewear together brought this fresh batch of eggs to the incubation room in the Breeding House.

Looking at the round Pokémon eggs lying obediently in their incubation nests, Bewear couldn't help but let out a happy Growl.

"Gu~"

The Breeding House is getting livelier and livelier! It's starting to feel more and more like when the previous owner was here!

Kawaki glanced at Bewear. Having spent so much time together, he could more or less sense Bewear's mood and thoughts.

Seeing Bewear like this, Kawaki said with a smile, "Don't worry, it will definitely get better and better in the future!"

"Gu~!" Bewear happily nodded its head.

It opened its mouth, seemingly wanting to say something more, but just then, a ghostly shadow suddenly appeared,

and shouted loudly:

"Kou Jie!!!"

Kawaki and Bewear looked at the Haunter making a scary face in front of them, with speechless expressions.

"Kou Jie~!"

The mischievous Haunter chuckled, scratching the back of its head with its newly grown claws.

Kawaki sighed helplessly. Haunter's personality had changed quite a bit since it evolved!

However, this wasn't a bad thing for Gastly, who was originally timid and had psychological trauma.

Environment can change a person, and similarly, it can change a Pokémon.

The relaxed and happy atmosphere in the Breeding House and the friendly Pokémon had healed Haunter's psychological trauma.

As for Ralts and the other Pokémon—

Kawamuku could tell that they also liked it here very much.

"Alright, Haunter, go play outside!" Kawaki said.

"Kou Jie!"

Haunter listened to Kawaki the most.

Upon hearing this, it immediately became obedient, following Kawaki step by step out of the incubation room and into the main hall.

Kawaki took a piece of chalk and added a line of information to the small blackboard outside the door.

"Large quantities of rare Pokémon eggs for sale!"

The word "rare" immediately caught the attention of some passing Trainers.

That afternoon, a young Trainer on a journey pushed open the door of the Breeding House.

"Boss, do you have rare Pokémon eggs for sale here?" the young man asked excitedly.

"Of course." Kawaki led him to the incubation room: "Please follow me."

The two went upstairs together to the incubation room. Looking at the room full of Pokémon eggs, the young man felt a dizzying array of choices.

"Wow! So many Pokémon eggs!"

Kawamuku said with a smile, "Currently, these eggs are mainly Fire-type Pokémon, and there are also some relatively rare Pokémon among them."

Pokémon like Ponyta and Torkoal are generally uncommon and only appear in specific locations.

"Is there any specific Pokémon you particularly like?" Kawaki turned to the young man, asking about his preferences.

"Only Fire-type Pokémon?" the young man asked.

"No, there are also some other types of Pokémon." Kawaki glanced at the eggs and then introduced, "Like the Fighting-type Machop, the Rock-type Geodude, and the Fighting-type Tyrogue, all of them are excellent Pokémon."

Machop's final evolution, Machamp, is incredibly strong, with four arms that are good for both offense and defense. It excels in close combat, and with its four hands, it can deliver extremely powerful punches, easily lifting even dump trucks.

Tyrogue, needless to say, has three completely different evolutionary forms.

Hitmonlee, skilled in kicks; Hitmonchan, proficient in punches; and Hitmontop, known for its elegant, dance-like kicking moves, are all excellent choices.

Among the three, only Geodude is relatively common.

This Pokémon lives in large numbers in mountainous areas; it's very easy to find them there.

Therefore, the young man would not consider a Pokémon like Geodude.

The young man seemed somewhat dissatisfied with the choices Kawamuku offered. He continued to ask, "What about the Fire-type Pokémon?"

"Oh, there are many of those." Kawaki glanced around and replied, "There's Slugma, Torkoal, Ponyta, and Numel."

Magcargo, evolved from Slugma, has strong defense and is skilled in Fire-type moves, able to burn opponents with flames in battle.

Torkoal, though a bit heavy, is an indispensable part of some tactical systems.

Moreover, with it, cooking outdoors becomes very convenient; simply place a pot on Torkoal's back shell, and you can start cooking. It's an all-rounder Pokémon, good for both combat and daily life.

Camerupt, on the other hand, is a Pokémon that lives in volcanoes.

Although they appear ordinary, they are excellent in battle. When enraged, the rock-like volcano on their back will erupt with scorching magma to engulf opponents.

They are powerful and easy to obtain, which is why this Pokémon is highly favored by Team Magma members.

As for Ponyta—any Trainer who has seen a Rapidash in person would surely be unable to resist such a magnificent steed.

Compared to the other Pokémon, Rapidash is truly a Pokémon with both strength and speed rated A.

Kawaki introduced each of the Fire-type Pokémon in the Breeding House to the young man, one by one.

Only after the last Rapidash was introduced did he look at the young man and ask:

"Because the rarity and difficulty of obtaining each Pokémon vary, so do their prices. Among these Pokémon, which one do you like?"
