Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 — Another Miracle Cut

"Yes!" Alex Lin nodded decisively. "I'm not familiar with this trade either, so it doesn't really matter which one we pick. Instead, why don't you give it a try, Brother Ethan? I believe you won't let me down!"

Ethan Ye hesitated. "But… what if I make the wrong choice?"

"If it's wrong, so be it." Alex chuckled. "We already made ninety million. Losing a few million now is just spending money to ward off bad luck!" He patted Ethan's shoulder. "Brother, it's in your hands."

"Thank you, Boss Lin, for trusting me!" Ethan took a deep breath.

He was still furious over accidentally helping Alex earn tens of millions earlier.

But this time—he'd make Alex lose it all!

At least nine million gone!Only then would his anger cool.

With that thought, Ethan gritted his teeth and pointed at a massive raw stone."Boss Lin, how about this one? I have a feeling there's something good inside!"

The stone he pointed to wasn't one they'd looked at before. It was priced at 9.6 million yuan—far above their original budget.

But now that their funds had grown, they could afford it.

"Why do you think this one's good?" Alex asked.

Ethan explained earnestly, "It looks dense and solid, with a natural glow. I believe there must be something valuable inside!"

The nearby expert frowned. "I don't recommend this one."

"This stone's been here for five years," he explained. "Many experts have examined it, but none dared to buy. It was once priced at twenty-five million, but because no one wanted it, the owner slashed it down to 9.6 million. That alone tells you something."

The man shook his head. "The texture isn't great. It's uneven. Based on experience, this kind of stone rarely contains anything worthwhile. Even if there's jade inside, it'll likely be low-grade, barely worth anything."

"In short," the expert concluded, "you're most likely buying an expensive rock."

The surrounding onlookers nodded in agreement.

Ethan felt a bit uneasy.Surely, after hearing all this, Alex would give up.

But Alex Lin just smiled and said firmly, "No! I believe in Brother Ethan. I'll take this one!"

The crowd murmured in disbelief. An elderly man stepped forward to advise, "Young man, reconsider. You might lose a few million."

Alex simply laughed. "It's fine. I can afford to lose nine million."

Rachel Liu sighed but obediently transferred the payment.Soon, the stone was theirs, and the lapidary began cutting.

Ethan Ye's heart was pounding with excitement.

Yes, go ahead and cut! There's no way this rock has anything good inside!Let's see how you lose this time!

The lapidary studied the surface and began slicing carefully.A piece fell off—nothing.

The crowd sighed.

Another cut—still nothing.

Then a third. A fourth.

Seven or eight cuts later, the entire stone was dull gray, lifeless.

"I told you! There's nothing in there!" someone said smugly."Just an ordinary rock.""The young master's going to lose big!""Didn't listen to advice—now he'll pay for it!"

Ethan outwardly looked disappointed but was ecstatic inside.

Yes, that's it! Keep losing! The more worthless, the better!

But just as the lapidary made another precise cut—

A flash of bright, vivid green burst forth from the rock.

Gasps erupted around them.

"It's green! There's jade inside!""It's glass-grade jade!""The rarest and most valuable kind!"

The crowd surged forward, faces full of disbelief.

"I've never seen such pure color before!""It's flawless—completely transparent!""It's going up! The value's skyrocketing!"

Ethan Ye stood frozen, face pale as chalk.

His mouth opened slightly, but no sound came out.

Again…?You've got to be kidding me!
