Chapter 77 - CH 77 That smile that drives me crazy

Arianna turned and walked away, with deep pain and anger in her heart. She got into the car, slamming the door. Ryan looked at the trio in front of him. He was also burning with anger. Right on front of him, his Ari was insulted, and he couldn't say anything because he wanted to keep his anonymous nature. He took a breather to calm the beast.

"Excuse me" he called the waitress and she came by. He paid the bills for everything, including the untouched foods. She left after that.

He turned, his cold eyes meeting them "What are you still waiting for? Your business here is over" he spoke sternly. Fuming, Rosalie took her bag and stormed away. Min Su too left with her friend.

He took in air again trying to calm the raging beast that refused to be calmed. Mere seeing Rosalie leave without him doing anything was so annoying.

"Excuse me....." he heard someone call for his attention and he turned, finding Se Mi there. She gulped down the lump in her throat. "Is..is Arianna really Mr Han's girlfriend?" she asked.

His eyes seemed to blaze even more, while the tip of his tongue touched his already elongating fangs. He turned his face to the side to avoid her seeing the tip of it "She is. Why?"

"See? I told Sally Arianna is not in her league anymore, but she wouldn't listen. Now see what has happened" Se Mi blurted, while looking at the duo who left without her.

"I should go" Ryan turned away because his fangs were already out. If she sees it then.... He doesn't even want to think about that.

"Wait, mister" she stopped him, and Ryan looked over his shoulder. "Could you apologize to Arianna on our behalf? Sally is just to arrogant. And as her friends we can't do anything. But please, don't let Mr Han know about this, I beg you"

Ryan was quitely looking over his shoulder, he could tell the girl was sincere. However..... "It's not in my place to decide" he said and walked away.

"Damnit!" Se Mi cursed "Sally, you bad mouth would end you seriously"

Ryan got into the car, slamming the door, and his hands tightened on the steering. The car had an eerie atmosphere as no one spoke. Ryan was trying so badly to calm down. He took a breather, turning to her. She had been gazing through the window ever since he got in.

"Aria.... Are you... Are you okay?" he asked.

She hesitated "I'm fine. Let's just go from here" Exhaling, he started the car. He drove around for ten minutes and then stopped, parking by the side of the road. Throughout the ride, she only had that far off look through the window. Lost in her own daze.

"Aria" he called "Aria, look at me" Arianna turned her face reluctantly to him. Her eyes were red and clouded with tears. Ready to roll down at any second.

"I'm sorry for what happened earlier. Don't pay attention to them. You don't have to feel bad" he said, trying to console her. But the girl moved her eyes away from him. He doesn't understand, does he?

"I know you're hurting badly, but... I'm here, right?" she looked at him "Just forget everything and be happy again. Like you are always"

It hurts deeply trying to forget and be happy. Her wounds were opened again. Her tears rolled down and he gently wiped them away, stroking her cheek. "Even if it hurts, it's okay. You don't have to cry about stuffs like this. It's not worth your tears, so please don't cry anymore. I really, really hate seeing your tears" he said. Arianna wiped her other cheek with the back of her hand, sniffing while doing so. His words were like sugar in her bitter heart.

Ryan gazed at her. It was obvious he was waiting for something. "I still don't see that smile that drives me crazy" he said softly and her eyes lifted, meeting his deep gaze "Would you smile for me, Aria?" Arianna blinked a few times, and then her lips stretched into a tiny smile.

"Smile more" he uttered and she tried her best to smile. A grin found its way to his face "now that's better" he patted her head like she was child.

"Okay, shall we go home now?" Ryan asked as it was already evening.

Home..... The way he said it made her want to cry again. It's been a long time she had somewhere to call home.

"I don't want to go home now. Let's go watch the sunset from the ferris wheel" her eyes glimmered, and he could tell her mood was better now "That would be so much fun"

Ryan smiled but then he suddenly remembered something. "Hold on a sec..." he faced her fully "Earlier, you called me your boyfriend...." Arianna's eyes grew wide, her lips parted ".....and your future husband" he completed.

She blinked repeatedly, adjusting on her seat "I... I didn't...mean what I said" she stuttered.

Ryan leaned forward "You didn't mean it?"

"No" she shook her head.

He leaned further again "Are you sure?"

"Yes" her voice almost a whisper.

"But... I've already taken it to my heart" Ryan touched his chest dramatically.

"Huh?!" She turned her face to him, meeting his mischievous gaze. Their face was so close and she flushed red.

"Now that you've said it yourself, we should be thinking of getting married sooner or later, isn't that so?" he said, excitement noticeable in his voice.

Aria gulped "R-really, I... I didn't mean it. I was only trying to get back at her"

"But I took it personal already"

"Sorry" her heart continuously slammed against her chest, she bit her lips.

Ryan blinked "Sorry?! Just that?! This is a pain in my heart!" he explained.

"Then what should I say?" Her lips pursed.

"It's not what you'll say, it's what you'll do" he said and her brows furrowed. A smirk crawled up to lips, he leaned forward again, his breath fanning her. "Let's kiss"
