Ryan rushed out of the house and teleported away to the sea. His hand was still covering his mouth and his eyes wide. That was...that was so close. He removed his hand slowly and it dropped to his side. His heart was racing wildly. Was he just about to...bite her? Oh no! He cursed out loud and ruffled his hair. Damn, she would have known. She would be suspicious now, it must have hurt.
"Aish!!" he cursed out again. He exhaled, feeling terrible.
He decided to go back before she would worry, since his fangs were back in already. Taking a deep breath, he teleported back to the house. Once he opened the door, their eyes met, and he gulped down hardly. Avoiding her gaze, he walked to the bed. She just laid there under the sheets watching him come closer.
"Are you alright?" she asked and he nodded. He climbed the bed and laid beside her.
"Let's sleep now, I'm a bit tired" he told her and she nodded in agreement. Ryan pulled her to his arms, with her back against his chest, he stroked her hair. They were both quiet, listening to each other's breathing and heartbeats. Arianna didn't like the silence all of a sudden. She knew something was wrong.
"R-ryan?" she called, but he didn't answer. "Ryan?" she called again, and he answered with one short, low "Mm?"
"W-why did you run?" she asked, but he kept mute. She waited for his answer for a few seconds, but the man didn't speak. Arianna turned and faced him, she saw his eyes closed. Was he already asleep? She stared at his face for a long while, before closing her eyes and letting sleep take her.
After an hour which she fell asleep, Ryan opened his eyes and looked at her. It was better to avoid her question than to lie in this case. His eyes fell on her neck, and he gently moved the hair away. He saw the small wounds his fangs caused and he sighed. What if she saw this? Ah...that would be bad. So bad!
Ryan rose up gently. He leaned down towards her neck and licked her wound. Once, twice, before he pulled away. Demon's saliva help heal wounds quickly, in just that second. But for him, it would take a few hours. Maybe one or two. But hopefully, it's night and it would be gone by the morning. He sighed again that he would be able to hide this from her, before lying down and pulling her closer to himself.

Leonel was at Ryan's study the next morning. Ryan had asked him questions about how he dealt with Seo In Gang, who wanted to buy the biggest shares in Ryan's company. And Leonel said he refused to sell to him. Ryan was quiet after that, staring at empty space while his brain worked.
"The auction is today. I'll be attending it" Leonel told him. But he wasn't even sure if he was listening. He waited for him to say a thing, and after a few moments, he did.
"Increase the level of securities in Han group. In every department, especially the production department. Every product should be checked thoroughly before they're sold out. No mistakes should be made" he ordered.
"Why so?" Leonel asked, confused.
"He would try to poison the foods. That would be his main aim." Tsk! That man is cheap, if that's what he was planning.
"You're right. I'll get that done"
A knock came o the door and Zariel walked in. She bowed "Good morning, young master. Breakfast is served. Anna's waiting downstairs" she informed.
"Okay"
"Anyways, I'm going to the store to get groceries. Leonel would you drop me off please"
"Sure. Let's leave when you're ready" they both bowed and left, while Ryan remained on his seat. And then he stood up and walked to the dinning room.
"Good morning, Ryan" Aria greeted once she saw him, smiling sweetly. He leaned down and kissed her forehead,
"Good morning, sweetheart. How are you?"
"I'm fine" she replied and he sat down. Ryan stared at her for a few seconds, and then his hand moved towards her hair. He moved away the bunch of hair that covered her neck, just to see if the wound was gone.
"What is it?" she asked. Ryan looked at her, trying to find a more suitable lie.
"I was checking if my kiss marks are still on your neck. Good to know they're still there" he half lied, and her face flushed that instant. This shameless man! She tried looking away, but his gaze kept her in place. And then his eyes fell on her lips. His grazed his thumb passed it and she blinked repeatedly. "Your lips are a bit swollen, Aria. Was I too hard?" Jeez!
"It's okay" she told him, looking away all flustered.
"Fine then, let's eat" he said, smirking inwardly. Aria attempted to eat but he took the spoon away from her. "Let me feed you" he said, and she nodded in agreement. He began to feed her and she ate happily. He didn't eat, watching and feeding her was enough.
"Ryan, you're not eating" she noticed.
"I'll eat if you feed me too" he said. Without further ado, she took a spoon and began to feed him. He was happy at that so he ate. The two had their breakfast feeding each other while talking about little things. And then Aria suddenly asked.
"Ah...I almost forgot. Why did you run away last night?" he stiffened "You fell asleep when I asked"
His eyes wandered around. How is he going to avoid this question now?! "I... I was...hard" he just said, and she blinked a few times. He looked at her, her face burned. "My little brother was so excited last night and... I thought it might scare you so I had to warn and calm him down. That's why I left. Sorry" he didn't look apologetic. He was having fun teasing her, with an unfazed look. Her mouth had longed parted and she cleared her throat. All flushed, she continued eating like he was never there. Whew... That was close.
Arianna knew very well that he was lying. But who would have thought he would use this?! She knew why he left. It was probably because of his fangs that's why he covered his mouth. When he left, she stood up to the mirror and checked her neck. There were two small bruises there, looking exactly like when bitten by a snake. But this morning it was gone. She wondered what he did. She also wondered....when he would open up to her. Tell her what he really is. She had been waiting but it's like he would never tell her. Like he's fine keeping her in the dark, though she's not. She doesn't like it but she's still hoping he would.
"I've been considerate, right?" he suddenly blurted, and she just answered "Y-yes"
"Hmm...you should tell me you love me then"
"Eh?!" her eyes flung wide.
"Tell me you love me. C'mon aria, I want to hear you say it" he was smirking while saying.
"Ryan.. I.."
"C'mon, you can do it"
Aria didn't say a word. She just stuffed his word with food and hers. She can't say it now. Not until he tells her what he is.
