"Let me show you to your room."
"My room? Wouldn't that be Nicholas's room as well?"
"No ma'am, Boss values his privacy so you will both have different rooms."
"I see." For some reason, she felt disappointed.
"I almost forgot. Top designer Stacie will be here soon. Get some rest. I'll have them bring up a meal for you in a bit."
"Isn't it too early to eat dinner?"
"Ah no, no, uhmmm…You know, we don't want your stomach to be congested." He sounded nervous.
"I…I figured you hadn't had lunch yet."
"I have, thank you. I think I'll wait till Nicholas returns." A perfect opportunity to talk to him.
The look Adam gave her made her wonder if he was really going to return.
An hour later, she was woken by the sound on the door.
"Mrs. Hale, Stacie is here."
"Who's Stacie?"
"The designer I told you about."
"Oh! It skipped my mind. I'll be down soon."
She got dressed and hurried downstairs.
"Good afternoon ma'am, I'm here to style you."
"OMG! Stacie? like CEO of Star and C signature? Your designs are top notch. I didn't realize when Adam mentioned it. I am so happy I finally got to meet you."
"Yes ma'am. Do you have any designs in mind to try out?"
"No, I'll leave it to you."
All the designs were lovely. She tried it all.
"You look lovely on all of them."
"Thank you. Your designs are beautiful."
"I'm glad you like them. Which ones would you be taking?"
"I don't know which ones to choose, I like them all."
Adam heard this and immediately responded. "She'll have all of them. Let me know the bill and my Boss will settle it."
"Adam, no I can't. It's too much. I'll take the first ten."
"Madam, you're the boss's wife. You need exceptional clothes, for events the boss has to attend often. Besides, ten dresses isn't enough for a whole wardrobe."
"I know but…"
"Boss's orders ma'am. I don't want to lose my job."
"Fine."
"Excuse me, I have to take this call."
Aurora nodded. As he moved away a bit.
"Yes, who is this?"
"I'm calling from Seattle State hospital, Mr. Hale Westworld has been involved in an accident."
"What? Mr. Hale in an accident? I'm on my way."
"I'm going to the hospital with you." Aurora said as she rushed towards Adam.
"Mrs. Hale It's…"
"I'm the boss here, I order you." She didn't like the tone she used but it was necessary.
"Fine. Let's go."
They rushed inside the hospital immediately after they got there. Adam ran to the receptionist.
"We're looking for a Mr. Hale. He was in an accident and was admitted here."
"Yes, He's currently out of the Emergency room."
"Thank you. Where is he?"
"Here's the room he's in."
They both rushed inside the room without the doctor's permission.
"Nicholas…" She stopped when she saw how bad he was, his face covered with bandages. "God please. God please." She got a bit closer to the bed on shaky legs.
"Come here Aurora, that's not me."
Startled, Aurora turned to see the very man that was supposed to be on that bed.
"Nicholas? How are you there and here?"
"Because I wasn't the one in an accident."
"Thank God." She rushed over and hugged him. She felt relieved. Maybe because he was her new family?
"Mrs. Hale, your husband wasn't the one involved in an accident."
"Oh…Why didn't you tell me?" She asked with embarrassment obvious in her voice.
"I tried but you didn't let me."
"I'm sorry. Wait… If he wasn't in an accident and you, Adam, knew he wasn't, why did you make us hurry like that? And who is there?"
An idea popped up in her head. "unless, you hit him. Are you the reason he's in this condition?"
"woah! Calm down. Take deep breaths Aurora. That's my cousin."
"Oh… I get it now. Makes sense. How is he? Is he going to be alright?"
"He'll be fine. The doctors said he needs rest. Visiting time is almost over."
He stared at Aurora wondering why she cared so much. If he died, she will gain.
"Take her home, I won't be back until evening."
"Why? There's no need to be here. You said it yourself that visiting time was over."
"I have other matters to attend to."
"Alright, Bye."
On the way back, she kept wondering why he wouldn't spend time with her? They had just gotten married, they should be getting to know each other.
"Adam, I'd like to stop and get a burger."
"We'll be home in a few minutes, you don't have to eat junk. I can ask Rudy to speed up if you want."
No Adam, I've missed burgers, haven't eaten them in a long while. If you don't mind, I'd like to get a burger."
"Alright, I know just the place."
They stopped at Best buns and pastries. "Wait here Adam, I can get it myself."
I'll take two burgers please." She got to the counter and explained exactly how she liked her burger.
"Okay, miss."
"Well, well, well if it isn't the little swine, Aurora."
"Samantha…Go get a life and leave me alone. Don't you get tired of causing trouble?"
"Of course not, I had so much fun messing with you. I just hate your self-righteous attitude. Always acting innocent, naïve and kind."
"And why does it bother you so much?"
"You stole my man."
"Ewww! I've told you over and over again, I had and have nothing to do with your Mike."
"Liar! you must have seduced him, that's why he confessed having feelings for a girl like you."
Aurora decided to ignore her, get her burger and leave.
"Here's your order miss."
"Thank you. How much?"
"It's $8.99 ma'am."
"Alright, here." She handed over the card Adam had given her.
Samantha was shocked when she saw it was a
black card. She was filled with jealousy.
"Thank you ma'am. Hope to see you next time."
Aurora got her card and turned to leave but Samantha held her hair.
"Let go of me."
"Oh because you got a sugar daddy, you think you can walk out on me?
"Get your hands off her or you'll regret it. You have two seconds. One, two." Adam and her security brought out their guns and Samantha let go of Aurora immediately.
"I'm sorry, please don't shoot me."
"Adam, don't."
"It's your lucky day."
"Let's go."
Samantha clutch her chest tightly. She'd almost had a heart attack.
"Bitch you'll pay, I swear it. I wonder who she's fucking that's making her show off?"
She walked out of there in shame. "I'll crush you Aurora, watch and see."
