Chapter 85 - Calamity's Nameless Light God and a New Chat Member?

It was very easy for Ian to Speedrun Calamity given his strength; the only thing that took time was gathering the materials needed to craft the summoning items.

He even started to feel a sense of nostalgia for the boss battles in the game that required careful preparation and cautious execution, often ending in countless deaths before a victory could be secured. Now, everything had become far too easy.

"The summoning item is ready. Time to test the strength of this 'Celestial.' "

As the summoning ritual was completed, the entire world suddenly lost its color. Immediately afterward, intense yellow and pink light erupted.

Providence, the Profaned Goddess, revealed her form—a creation of light and darkness, she had been scorned by all the Gods since birth and banished to the edge of the Underworld.

Her body was made of hardened crystal, but chaotic energy surged within, intent on incinerating everything in the world.

The moment Providence appeared, she unleashed a torrent of Profaned Flames towards Ian. These attacks, which could instantly kill a player in the game, rushed at him.

The Profaned Flames struck Ian, but he felt only a gentle breeze. His HP symbolically dropped by one point before he became completely immune to the damage.

"Is that all you've got?" Ian sneered, looking at the Profaned Goddess. "Everyone saw it; you struck first."

Ding... ding... ding... A clear, ringing sound echoed in the air. A circular mark, red on the inside and gray on the outside, slowly materialized above the Profaned Goddess's head. It was the mark of Heartsteel.

Ian instantly flashed forward and punched the Profaned Goddess.

CLANG!

A sound even clearer and more pleasant than before rang out, incredibly delightful to the ear.

Accompanying this marvelous sound, the Profaned Goddess's crystal body began to crack, with light leaking from the fissures. She was destroyed before she could even summon a single Profaned Guardian.

"She was too weak, wasn't she?" Ian was slightly disappointed. He had hoped to stack his steel a few more times.

What followed was a one-sided slaughter: Pillars of Light, one steel stack; Brimstone Elemental, one steel stack; Devourer of Gods, one steel stack.

The powerful BOSSES that once forced him to rack his brain, execute flawless maneuvers, and die countless times before finally defeating them in the game were now all taken down with a single punch.

"Summon the Devourer of Gods one more time; I need to stack more steel." Ian completed the summoning ritual again.

To his surprise, the Devourer of Gods that appeared this time did not immediately attack, nor did the familiar Heartsteel mark appear above its head. Ian stood still, looking at it curiously.

Just as he was confused, the Devourer of Gods slowly flew toward Ian and gently nudged him with its huge head, like a spoiled pet.

A message suddenly flooded into Ian's mind—this world was originally purchased and created by him using EMC, and these creatures were inherently his subordinates.

Their previous attacks were merely due to the restrictions of the world's rules. Now, after being killed and Reborn, they had finally broken free from the rule constraints and regained their recognition of their Master.

"Are you saying... I've been beating up my subordinates this whole time?" Ian didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

The Devourer of Gods 'We are honored to provide combat training for our Master.'

"It seems the grand plan to stack steel must be put on hold for now."

Subsequently, Ian began to summon the Supreme Witch, Calamitas.

A crimson light erupted, spreading across the sky like blood.

The world suddenly plunged into darkness, as if shrouded by a thick curtain. A massive number of Calamity Creatures materialized from the void, circling Ian, but none dared to attack.

Ian frowned. This was completely different from the scene he had anticipated.

Just as he wondered why, the space warped, and the figure of the Supreme Witch slowly emerged.

Ian noticed the Heartsteel mark appearing above her head, but she did not immediately attack like the other BOSSES.

Upon seeing Ian, the Supreme Witch bowed slightly, her voice tinged with reverence: "Respected Celestial, please kill me to end the Calamity. Rest assured, I will not truly die."

With that, she closed her eyes, waiting for Ian to take her life.

Ian was stunned. This situation made him feel helpless. He had expected a thrilling and satisfying fight, but the opponent had essentially given up.

Ian hesitated for a moment, and after confirming that the Supreme Witch truly would not die, he couldn't help but step forward.

CLANG!

A clear, pleasant sound echoed between heaven and earth. As the sound resonated, the darkness rapidly receded, and the aura of Calamity began to dissipate from all corners of the world.

The sky became blue again, and sunlight pierced the clouds, showering the earth.

The Supreme Witch opened her eyes, a slight upturn at the corner of her mouth, and began reciting her usual lines.

"An impressive feat. I recognize your victory."

"Undoubtedly, you will meet enemies stronger than me."

"I trust you will not make the same mistake he did."

"As for what your future will become, I look forward to it."

Listening to her words, Ian couldn't help but roll his eyes, " 'What a formulaic exit line. Why does it feel exactly the same as in the game?' "

The moment the words left his mouth, the Supreme Witch's body dissolved into particles of light and vanished into the air.

Before Ian could react, she reappeared before him, but in a completely new form.

No longer the lofty Ruler of Calamity, but a loyal Follower.

The Supreme Witch bowed deeply to Ian: "My God!"

After a brief exchange, Ian finally understood the truth—the creatures in the modded worlds loaded by the Transmutation Tablet were naturally his Followers.

Their previous attacks were merely to complete the specific procedures unique to the Calamity World.

Once the process was finished, they would regain their true selves.

Just as they were speaking, the surrounding void suddenly warped, and a massive mechanical device emerged from it.

Draedon, piloting the Exo Mechs, appeared near Ian. His mechanical arm swung, performing a standard noble salute: "My God."

Ian was also surprised to see Draedon; he was preparing to fight Draedon next.

Through the explanations of Draedon and the Witch, Ian understood that defeating the Supreme Witch would end the Calamity process here.

The BOSSES he had skipped, such as Draedon and the Exo Mechs, would also immediately return to their normal state.

"You should have said so earlier! I would have fought you first; I could have stacked steel twice more," Ian laughed, shaking his head.

Just then, the voice of the Transmutation Tablet sounded in Ian's ear.

[DING... INTERDIMENSIONAL ENERGY COLLECTED SUCCESSFULLY]

[MOD MODULE CAN BE UNLOCKED *1]

Ian's eyes lit up. He hadn't expected the Interdimensional Energy from Terraria to be collected completely again.

He had thought that the modded worlds wouldn't generate Interdimensional Energy because there was no growth while fighting the BOSSES.

Unexpectedly, the Interdimensional Energy bar was now instantly full.

Ian immediately chose to unlock a Mod Module.

[DING... MOD MODULE DRAWING IN PROGRESS]

[DING... MOD MODULE DRAWING SUCCESSFUL]

[CONGRATULATIONS ON ACQUIRING CALAMITY SUBSIDIARY MOD — NAMELESS LIGHT GOD].

"Good grief, they've invited a few of Calamity's light-pollution masters here."

This Mod Module added several exceptionally powerful new BOSSES to Terraria: Xeroc, the Light God, Noxus, the Dark God, and an XG Robot.

The BOSSES Xeroc, the Light God and Noxus, the Dark God were particularly strong, and their attack effects were extremely cool.

[DING... DO YOU WISH TO CONSUME 9.9 BILLION EMC TO LOAD THIS MOD MODULE IN THE CURRENT WORLD]

Ian chose to load it without hesitation.

[DING... LOADING SUCCESSFUL]

[COUNTDOWN 32 DAYS 23 HOURS 59 MINUTES]

"I hope you can last a few more hits."

Subsequently, the voice of the Transmutation Tablet suddenly sounded in Ian's ear, an electronic tone clearly transmitted.

In the Warhammer Universe, a warship finally emerged from the Immaterium after more than a decade of travel.

After the warship left the Immaterium, a Servitor approached an Astartes wearing blue Power Armor and handed him a pre-prepared device.

The Astartes took the device and placed it on his helmet.

At this moment, the battle-brother next to him said, "Lyon, I hope the Cerebral Occlusion process hasn't affected your memory this time."

Lyon didn't know what his high-risk memory was. In any case, he routinely had to block a lot of memory, and before entering the Immaterium, he had to block most of it.

Then Lyon began to pray, "Praise the Emperor, praise the Lord of Mankind, praise the Omnissiah..."

After calming the Machine Spirit, Lyon activated the device, and a segment of memory slowly began to unlock.

Soon, a Group Chat Interface appeared before him, followed by a prompt that a large number of Red Packets were waiting to be claimed.
