Chapter 196 - Fifty-Thousand-Volt Power

The day of the finals arrived with perfect sunlight, but the atmosphere at Dragon-Tiger Mountain was heavy with an unusual gravity.

The original competition arena had long been reduced to ruins in previous battles. Thus, the final stage was set in a remote, massive open space on Dragon-Tiger Mountain.

The vast majority of spectators were placed extremely far from the stage, forced to watch the match through giant screens temporarily erected around the site. Only those with immense strength, like the Ten Masters, were permitted to watch from a close distance.

This wasn't a matter of privilege, but a protection of the lives of the weak—an arrangement Ian and Zhang Chulan had coordinated with the Old Taoist Master in advance. After the earth-shattering battle a few days prior, everyone realized that the shockwaves from a clash between these two could cause massive casualties among ordinary outcasts.

The new arena had been constructed just the day before. After Ian asked the Old Taoist Master for a large vacant lot, he built it in mere moments. The entire platform was made of solid iron blocks, tens of meters thick, radiating a steady and heavy aura.

The spectators watching from afar had no complaints about the screens; in fact, they breathed a private sigh of relief. Ian's Xingyi—Overloaded Modified Ten-Thousand-Ton King had truly terrified them, so for the sake of their survival, they decided staying away was for the best.

At the same time, they offered silent prayers for Zhang Chulan, hoping he wouldn't be beaten too badly. They hoped that if he couldn't win, he would just surrender—at least that way he wouldn't end up as miserable as Wang Bing or Wang Ai.

The time for the match arrived, and the referee's voice rang out across the field: "The Grand Luo Heaven Sacrifice Finals are about to begin!"

From opposite sides of the stage, the two figures slowly emerged. Thousands of eyes shifted in unison to witness the duelists.

Their outfits were surprisingly identical! As if by plan, both wore trench coats over white tank tops and blue jeans.

Ian walked with a composed stride and a calm smile, looking across the stage at Zhang Chulan. Zhang Chulan stood opposite him, his long black hair fluttering in the wind, his gaze as sharp as lightning. Upon seeing Ian, the fighting spirit in his eyes became completely uncontrollable.

The two eventually came to a halt on opposite ends of the massive iron platform.

As the referee announced the start, they moved in perfect synchronization, both tearing off their heavy trench coats simultaneously. The coats drifted away in the wind, revealing pure white tank tops that clearly outlined the shapes of their muscles. Their well-proportioned, athletic builds were fluid and packed with explosive potential.

In the stands, a group of female outcasts erupted in screams at the sight.

"Ahhh! Ian is so handsome! His physique is perfect!"

"Zhang Chulan is so manly too! Those muscles are incredible!"

The referee's voice echoed: "Grand Luo Heaven Sacrifice Finals: Ian versus Zhang Chulan! Begin!"

However, neither Ian nor Zhang Chulan moved immediately.

Zhang Chulan took a deep breath, and the sea of Qi within him surged. A wild energy instantly exploded. The electricity on his skin began to flicker, growing stronger from the inside out.

300,000 Volts!

350,000 Volts!

The powerful Current Push raced through his body. His temperament shifted again, making him look like a predator about to strike—dangerous and brimming with power. His long black hair danced behind him, blue-white electric arcs leaping between the strands.

Boundless power radiated from his body, creating a massive pressure that made even the Ten Masters skip a beat. Even Old Taoist Master Zhang Zhiwei felt particularly surprised; this kid had improved again in such a short time.

And this wasn't even Zhang Chulan's full power. Facing the invincible Ian, the suppressed fighting spirit and the thirst to challenge his limits pushed his power even higher. The Current Push continued to climb!

"Ye—!"

Zhang Chulan let out a low growl. The arcs on his body became even more dazzling, and the air around him emitted faint crackling sounds.

"Current Push, 400,000 Volts of power!"

"Sea Tiger Blasting Punch!"

With a roar, Zhang Chulan transformed into a bolt of lightning. With a whistle that tore through the air, he charged at Ian at incredible speed. His right fist, carrying the frenzied 400,000 volts of power, slammed toward Ian's chest without reservation! This punch contained all his effort and determination from the past month!

Ian remained in place, calmly watching the fierce assault. He didn't even intend to dodge; he simply raised his right hand and extended a single finger.

At the tip of his finger, a nearly invisible trace of electricity coiled.

Current Push, 1 Volt of power.

With just one volt of power wrapped effortlessly around his fingertip, he gave a casual, gentle flick of his finger.

In the next instant, the terrifying power within Zhang Chulan's all-out Sea Tiger Blasting Punch felt as if it had hit a bottomless black hole. It was neutralized into nothingness instantly. Zhang Chulan's body stiffened from the sudden interruption of momentum and force.

Then, Ian flicked his finger. That single volt of electricity, like an insignificant blue spark, tapped lightly against Zhang Chulan's forehead.

Hum—

This weak force exploded instantly, yet Zhang Chulan felt as if his forehead had been struck by a high-speed train. He lost all control, flying backward like a cannonball! He crossed dozens of meters before slamming heavily into the edge of the arena!

"Gua—" A muffled groan escaped Zhang Chulan's throat as he struggled to stand.

He felt as if every bone in his body was falling apart; his head was ringing, and his vision blurred. But what shocked him most was that Ian had used only one volt of power to easily neutralize his 400,000-volt attack and send him flying! The gap was simply night and day!

However, Zhang Chulan did not lose heart, nor did he fall into despair. He had long known the disparity between them. His goal had never been to defeat Ian, but as Ian had said before, to improve himself through a duel with the strong and gain greater power.

Zhang Chulan gritted his teeth and sprang up. The fluctuations of electricity in his body grew even more intense, and his fighting spirit burned like a roaring flame!

"Current Push, 410,000 Volts of power!"

The voltage climbed again. Without a moment's pause, he charged at Ian once more!

As expected, he was once again easily knocked down by Ian's one-volt force. Yet every strike was perfectly calculated—strong enough to make Zhang Chulan feel immense pressure, but not enough to crush him completely.

Time after time, Zhang Chulan acted like an unkillable cockroach. Every time he was knocked down, he climbed back up even faster. The fighting spirit in his eyes didn't dim; it grew more fervent.

"Not enough! Still far from it! I can't fall here! Power! Increase for me!"

Under this extreme pressure, his Current Push power continued to break through!

"Current Push, 420,000 Volts of power!"

Zhang Chulan charged again with unstoppable momentum, only to be pressed to the ground by Ian's finger once more.

"430,000 Volts of power!" Flipped over by a finger again.

Yet the power within him was like boiling lava. Every impact and every fall tempered his will and his body, pushing him toward a higher realm. Sweat mixed with dust covered his body, and his white tank top was shredded, but the light in his eyes grew brighter.

Finally, after an unknown number of charges, the electricity in Zhang Chulan's body surged violently, and his power reached its peak!

"YE!! Current Push, 500,000 Volts of power!"
