Chapter 551 - MTC Chapter 580: American TV Protagonists Never Eradicate the Root of the Problem

"Boss, can you take us with you?"

"Let's go wipe out these scumbags' nest together!"

Faced with the youths' rapid transformation, Yang Yi's face revealed a hint of surprise.

*As expected of movie protagonists, their mindset shifts fast.*

He turned around and took the lead, heading deeper into the forest.

The others immediately followed, forming a makeshift "Monster Extermination Squad" right then and there.

Miko's [Eyes of Truth] were already active, making the deep, complex forest scenery perfectly clear in her vision.

"Three meters to the left, there's a tripwire."

Her cool voice rang out through the woods, stopping Jessie just in time before she could step on it.

"There's a spike trap under that pile of dead leaves ahead. Walk around it."

Under Miko's guidance, the team safely bypassed one camouflaged trap after another without a hitch.

As they ventured deeper, the surroundings grew increasingly terrifying.

The wind blew through the trees, rustling strings of "wind chimes" hanging from the branches.

They were not pleasant decorations.

Instead, they were strung together from the drilled skulls and severed vertebrae of victims, emitting a bone-chilling *clack, clack* sound as they collided.

Scraps of violently torn clothing could be seen scattered everywhere on the ground.

The tattered rags were deeply embedded in the dirt, their original colors long faded.

Large patches of blood, dried to a dark brown, stained the earth in a shocking display.

The thick stench of blood mixed with a rotting odor hung in the air, assaulting their senses.

The sight of it all ignited an endless fury in their hearts.

Finally, they passed through a dense thicket and arrived at a relatively open clearing.

The clearing was surrounded by piles of rusted, rotting vehicle wreckage, forming a natural barricade.

In the center of that scrap metal heap stood a dilapidated wooden cabin.

Everyone's attention was quickly drawn to a crude shack next to the cabin.

It was practically a microcosm of hell on earth.

Massive iron hooks hung from the shack's ceiling, suspending several still-dripping pieces of human remains.

Below, a giant wooden tub was filled to the brim with internal organs, swarms of flies buzzing and circling above it.

The corners of the shack were piled high with the belongings of the victims.

Hiking backpacks, cameras, wallets, ID cards.

Among them, a mud-stained pink children's hairpin and a single child's shoe made the group grip their guns tighter.

Just as everyone was shaken by the gruesome sight inside the shack...

The door of the dilapidated cabin in the center was pushed open.

A massive monster, even more burly than the three brothers from before, charged out.

It wielded a giant sledgehammer coated in fresh flesh and brains, murky drool constantly dripping from its twisted mouth.

At the same time.

From behind the piles of scrapped cars on their left and right, two female cannibals wielding a sickle and a rusty pickaxe suddenly lunged out, roaring as they launched a surprise attack!

They wanted to wipe out these uninvited guests in one fell swoop!

However, this time, there was not a trace of panic on the faces of Jessie and the others.

"Fire!"

Accompanied by Tomie's sick, excited, and maniacal laughter, Chris calmly raised his firearm.

The five youths racked their bolts almost simultaneously, their bodies instinctively spreading out.

A crossfire network was formed in an instant!

*Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!*

A dense hail of bullets sprayed out, enveloping the two cannibals attacking from the flanks.

These deranged cannibals had never seen firearms other than hunting rifles.

They thought the guns in the group's hands would only cause a bit of pain and draw some blood, while they would viciously chop off their victims' arms and then feast on their tenderest heart meat.

*Pfft, pfft, pfft!*

The sound of concentrated gunfire piercing flesh rang out.

The two deformed bodies were shot full of holes halfway through their charge, collapsing limply to the ground. They twitched a few times before falling completely still.

The frontal battlefield, meanwhile, was taken over entirely by Tomie.

Facing the whistling sledgehammer, she didn't retreat but advanced, even casually tossing her Gatling gun aside.

"Bring it on!"

She let out a joyful shout. While sprinting at high speed, she used Idle Transfiguration on herself, causing her body to rapidly expand.

She actually used her seemingly slender flesh-and-blood body to meet the heavy, momentum-filled sledgehammer head-on!

*Crack—!*

A crisp sound of bone fracturing echoed.

The cannibal's left arm, which was holding the hammer, was bent backward entirely by the force of her punch.

Yet, because of the intense pain, a twisted, perverted smile appeared on his face.

Tomie was stunned, not expecting this guy to be even more of a freak than she was.

She couldn't allow someone so twisted to exist.

She then brought the five fingers of her right hand together. The Parasyte on it instantly hardened and extended, transforming into a gleaming, cold blade.

*Squelch!*

The blade pierced through the sledgehammer cannibal's thick chest without any resistance, accurately impaling its heart.

The Parasyte blade then instantly split open inside his body, directly shredding his internal organs.

The cannibal's massive body suddenly stiffened, its roar coming to an abrupt halt.

It looked down in disbelief at the slender arm piercing its body, before Tomie forcefully flung it away, impaling it on the very iron hooks they used to butcher ordinary people.

The battle was over.

Right after all the monsters had been eliminated, an elderly couple in tattered clothes walked out of the dilapidated cabin, trembling.

Their faces were covered in tears as they held their wrinkled hands high, crying out in terrified, broken voices.

"Don't shoot! Please, save us!"

"We're victims! We were taken by these monsters!"

Looking at the pitiful, helpless old couple before them, Jessie and the others temporarily lowered their guard.

The muzzles of their guns instinctively dropped.

The old couple looked just like any ordinary, terrified country folk—simple and harmless.

Seeing this, Miko was somewhat speechless. She had previously thought that the idiotic plots in American TV shows were just scripted arrangements.

She didn't expect them to actually be this naive. It was just mentioned that the cannibals had a pair of normal-looking parents, and they forgot in the blink of an eye?

Ultimately, she couldn't hold back and voiced a reminder.

"Hey, hey, hey, don't you guys think this is weird?"

Miko's [Eyes of Truth] had already seen through all the illusions.

"The old lady has been keeping her hands behind her back the whole time, can't you see that?"

"The old man's boots are the exact same style as those cannibals', didn't you notice?"

"Plus, their clothes are so clean. Do you really believe they were kidnapped?"

The disguise was ruthlessly punctured.

The terrified expressions on the old couple's faces instantly froze.

The next second.

The fear vanished, replaced by sheer malice.

The old man instantly drew a revolver from his waist, roaring in a hoarse voice.

"You damn bastards! How dare you kill my precious children!"

The old woman brought out the hands hidden behind her back, gripping a machete. Her face twisted as she let out a shrill shriek and lunged forward like a maniac.

They were the true "brains" of this cannibal family, the root of all the evil.

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

Gunshots rang out once more as Chris and Jessie, their faces filled with horror and the shock of being deceived, pulled their triggers.

Two bullets accurately pierced the center of the demonic parents' foreheads.

The malice on the old couple's faces was frozen forever.

Miko facepalmed from the sidelines. These people were way too much like American TV characters. Was this really not an American TV show?
