Chapter 545 - MTC Chapter 574: The Spiral's Night Parade of a Hundred Demons! Terrifying Monsters Beneath the World's Calm

Surging from all directions were all sorts of twisted monsters.

The ground trembled slightly beneath their dense footsteps. Along with their approach came a foul stench, a pungent odor so thick it nearly suffocated Kirie and Shuichi.

The two of them tightly gripped the steel pipes they had picked up, but the cold touch of the metal couldn't dispel the chill creeping up their spines.

A desperate situation loomed before them.

Yang Yi looked around, observing these monsters with great interest.

Bearing the brunt of the charge were Parasytes, their heads split into several petal-like segments that transformed into tentacle-like limbs, constantly twisting and thrashing. They were from the anime *Parasyte: The Maxim*.

However, their limbs had all been twisted into spiral shapes.

Following behind the Parasytes appeared a woman with a massive, bloated tongue. Her tongue was terrifying, covered in bulging veins and twisted into the shape of a spiral.

By the looks of it, she was likely from the horror manga, *The Licking Woman*.

Next was a bizarre monster with a swollen head, its eyes tilted so weirdly they were almost vertical, and a vertically aligned mouth. It seemed to be a monster from *Fuan no Tane*.

Yang Yi could tell that these monsters were merely being forcibly driven here by the will of the spiral.

They were probably poor wretches dumped into the trash can of Kurouzu Town by the containment organization for experimental purposes.

It was a good thing the spiral had controlled them; otherwise, these monsters would have slaughtered the townsfolk of Kurouzu Town long ago. Truth be told, the spiral was quite adept at containment.

The Spiral: *Did I just become a containment master?*

However, the Japanese containment organization had only temporarily dropped some relatively weak monsters here. Their main forces were all busy transferring other anomalies.

Meanwhile, in an unknown location, inside a massive underground base.

Several members wearing specialized hazmat suits were sweating profusely as they executed the highest directive from headquarters.

They carefully operated giant mechanical arms, utilizing the combined effects of several contained items to slowly hoist a massive, specially-made cage.

Through the thick, specialized glass, the terrifying and hideous silhouette of the slumbering monster inside could be seen.

That was a powerful entity designated as "Blood-Stained Godzilla."

In another, even more heavily guarded quarantine zone, "Shin Godzilla"—whose form was constantly changing as it attempted to evolve and escape its specialized prison—and a "Hideous Ultraman" bound by a contained item, were also being carefully transferred.

They were to be relocated to a dream prison constructed by continuously burning the souls of D-Class personnel.

They had to be extremely careful. They absolutely could not allow a containment breach of these terrifying, civilization-threatening entities at this juncture.

That would severely impact the ultimate "Restart Project" formulated by the higher-ups, which concerned the very survival of humanity.

The administrator looked at the report in his hands. It seemed it was time to request a batch of cloned D-Class personnel from headquarters. For this batch, they would just clone a hundred million D-Class personnel for emergency use!

Back on the streets of Kurouzu Town.

Yang Yi looked up as if sensing something, his gaze seemingly piercing through the thick spiral clouds and casting toward a distant place.

He clearly perceived several powerful auras being carefully moved by the containment organization through some kind of power.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly as a crazy idea quietly sprouted in his mind.

Once he finished dealing with the matters here, perhaps he could let his Witherzilla out.

He could have it form a band with these local Zillas and hold a grand concert in this world.

That scene would definitely be spectacular.

In contrast to Yang Yi's wandering thoughts, Tomie's eyes lit up as she looked at the horde of monsters before her.

"Fantastic!"

"I can finally let loose!"

She stuck out her tongue, slowly licking her dry lips. Her scarlet pupils reflected the ugly figures of the monsters.

Then, she announced the battle plan to Miko and the others.

"Break the bones of the ordinary people and pin them to the ground. Wait for me to clear out their spirals later."

"As for those ugly monsters, kill them outright!"

"Oh, wait, that Parasyte is pretty cute. I want to catch it as a pet! Be careful later, don't kill it!"

Before her voice even faded, she was the first to charge out.

However, she didn't use a weapon this time. Instead, she was going for a brutal, bare-knuckle beatdown.

Seeing this, Miko, Hana, and the others exchanged glances.

The lingering fear in their eyes was completely washed away by Tomie's fanatical fighting spirit.

The three of them raised their weapons simultaneously, shouting the sacred slogan that had long been etched into their souls.

"For The Emperor!"

Their youthful yet resolute voices converged. Wearing brass knuckles blessed by The Emperor, the girls followed closely behind Tomie and charged at the horde of monsters.

The battle reached its climax in an instant. The sound of fists slamming into flesh and the agonizing shrieks of the monsters echoed through the streets.

Every time the group swung their fists, a blinding burst of golden holy light exploded amidst the monster horde.

Wherever the fists bearing The Emperor's blessed brass knuckles passed, the monsters' seemingly sturdy defenses shattered instantly, sending black blood and mangled flesh splattering in all directions.

The woman with the massive spiral tongue viciously lashed her long tongue at Yuria like a whip.

Yuria nimbly ducked her body, dodging it with ease.

A cold sneer surfaced on her face.

"Rabian!"

The rabbit doll instantly darted out from behind her, growing even larger than the woman. It opened its wide maw and bit down hard on the woman's tongue.

Seizing the opportunity, Yuria smashed a fist into the woman's head.

Amidst the woman's screams, she ripped her tongue right out.

On the other side.

Facing an amalgam monster forcibly fused from several Parasytes, Miko didn't hesitate in the slightest, directly hurling the Myriad Soul Banner in her hand.

The pink banner rapidly expanded in mid-air against the wind, acting like a massive black net that blotted out the sky. Several previously subdued monsters leaped out from it.

They grabbed onto the Parasyte's limbs, while the Parasyte's attacks were completely unable to touch their bodies.

The monsters pinned the Parasyte in place, waiting for Tomie to subdue it after the battle.

Tomie was like a tiger among a flock of sheep. After easily dispatching several monsters blocking her path, she arrived in front of another "cute" Parasyte.

That Parasyte seemed to sense the terror of the woman standing before it.

The tips of the petals split from its head instantly hardened, transforming into sharp blades gleaming with a cold light.

It displayed a cunning far surpassing its peers.

Its tentacles feigned a lunge at Tomie, but midway through, it suddenly accelerated, bypassing her at a bizarre angle.

Its targets were Kirie Goshima and Shuichi Saito, who were hiding at the rear of the battlefield, already scared witless.

The smile on Tomie's face grew increasingly icy.

"Not fighting me? Are you looking down on me?"

Her figure instantly vanished from where she stood.

The next moment, she appeared directly in front of the Parasyte, pinched its neck, and with a forceful yank, tore the Parasyte right off.

Then, she directly activated [Idle Transfiguration].

An invisible force invaded straight into the depths of the Parasyte's soul.

The Parasyte let out a series of miserable shrieks.

Its ferocity, killing intent, and fear of the spiral were forcibly erased by Tomie in that instant. Replacing them was absolute loyalty and obedience to her.

Its blades softened once more, eventually crawling up Tomie's wrist according to her will, turning into a flower-shaped scar. Finally, it extended a tentacle and affectionately rubbed against Tomie's finger.

Tomie looked at her new pet with satisfaction and casually gave it a name.

"Little Flower."

The rest of the girls had also pretty much cleared out the remaining grunts.

With the blessing of The Emperor's divine artifacts, this battle had zero suspense right from the start.

As the last monster was killed by a punch from Miko, the street finally cleared up.

The villagers who had been controlled by the spiral now slumped to the ground one after another, their bodies twitching, unable to move.

Was the battle over?

The next second, everyone raised their heads simultaneously, casting their gazes toward the very center of the town.

An eerie power—a hundred times stronger than before and twisted to the absolute extreme—was slowly awakening there.
