On the pirate ship, Marco and Vista were trading blows while the nearby pirates cheered and whooped at the spectacle.
"Sure enough, a bunch of gays," Satan muttered. Even though Marco and Vista were pummeling each other, their faces were full of delight, plainly savoring the thrill of the scuffle. Definitely a pack of gays.
"Brat, where are you looking," Jozu snapped. "It's time to teach you Armament Haki. Or are you giving up on that kind of power already?"
"I've never given up on that kind of power," Satan said, face turning serious. "That power is the capital for roaming the seas."
Armament Haki was a must. In practical use it far outstripped Conqueror's Haki. Seize could restrain it, but it wasn't realistic to comprehend Armament just by relying on Seize. He could only rely on himself. He quietly felt out the force of Observation Haki. In essence, the two should connect.
"Show me your Armament Haki," Jozu said. "Let me see how much of a genius you really are. Back then it took me three days to awaken it. If…"
He didn't finish. His eyes went wide. Black Armament Haki had already flowed over Satan's hand.
"Armament Haki," Satan said, watching the coating on his fist as surprise flashed in his eyes. "Feels fantastic." He had tried it and actually succeeded. Even without relying on the system, he was still a genius.
"He… awakened," Jozu gasped.
Marco and Vista stopped brawling and stared, dumbstruck, at the Armament Haki on Satan's hand.
"He really awakened it in one go. The guy's a prodigy," Vista muttered, frozen in place. Two-color Haki, grasped in an instant.
"Monster," Jozu whispered. He had thought Satan was only gifted in Observation, that Armament would be much harder. He had to admit it now—there were true prodigies in this world. No, monsters. Two colors of Haki, grasped in seconds. Training, this simple. He'd been proud a moment ago about learning it in three days. Now he felt like trash. Good thing he hadn't finished bragging, or he would have slapped himself across the face.
"Is this real? Are my eyes playing tricks on me," a pirate murmured.
"No mistake. I saw it too. He grasped Armament in a second, and Observation before that. He's not human," others said, eyes filled with envy. With talent like this, as long as he didn't die, he would overturn the seas one day.
"Truly broken," Marco said. "Congrats on awakening Armament Haki. You're ready to graduate on this sea."
"Haki isn't so hard," Satan shrugged.
Blood nearly sprayed from the onlookers' mouths. Not hard. For those who couldn't, it was impossibly hard; for those who could, it was nothing. In the New World many knew Haki, but no one learned it as lightly as Satan. Sourness filled the air.

"Sure enough, absorbing others' emotions is the true path," Satan grinned. Now that he had both Armament and Observation Haki, it was time to leave the Whitebeard Pirates. With the Seven Deadly Sins, traveling the seas would let him grow far faster. Staying on Whitebeard's ship made it too hard to harvest the Seven Sins.
