The two Supreme Alphas stared at each other, the air crackling with barely contained aggression.

"Stop it. Just stop this!" I stepped away from the tree.

Were they seriously about to fight over me?

"Thank you for your suggestion, but I don't want that either," I said to Rowan, ignoring the twinge of disappointment in his eyes.

Kael let him go. He then stared at me, his jaw working before his shoulders finally sagged slightly.

"You can't go alone. It's dangerous out there," he whispered.

"I know."

Rowan slightly frowned. "I agree with him—"

"I will be able to take care of myself," I clutched my chest, my lips tight as I faced them, resolute.

Kael looked like he wanted to argue further, but something in my expression stopped him.

"I still won't let you go alone," he finally said, a resolute tone in his voice. "Wait here… please, don't move," he told me before facing Rowan. "Come with me."

Rowan blinked. "Uh?"
