Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Dramon Destroyers! Machinedramon Felled in a Flash—All Worlds Stunned!

[On-screen]

A golden radiance, like a newborn sun, wrapped the dying Agumon completely.

That light wasn't mere healing—it was a more fundamental catalyst.

The evolution energy left inside Agumon, stoked by this power, flared like dry kindling hurled into a furnace—boiling, surging, transforming!

"Agumon!"

Tai roared, reaching out. The Crest of Courage on the back of his hand and the Digivice on his chest burst into unprecedented light!

Beside him, Kari's glow peaked—warm, sacred power resonating fiercely with Tai's Digivice!

The two forces braided together, becoming a pure golden datastream that plunged into Agumon!

"Agumon—mega evolve!"

BOOM!

A pillar of gold speared the sky, stitching earth to heaven!

Within it, Agumon's outline stretched and reformed, new armor layering into place—

The light fell away.

A dragon-man warrior floated in the air—Chrome Digizoid plating gleaming, the Crest of Courage borne as a shield, twin Dramon Destroyers mounted on his forearms.

WarGreymon!

[Tamers World]

"He skipped Ultimate?!" Takato gaped. "Guilmon, look—Agumon jumped straight to Mega!"

Guilmon's eyes went round. "So strong! That's Mega?"

Rika folded her arms, cool. "Not ordinary evolution. That girl, Kari—her power resonated with Tai's crest and forced the output up to Mega. A miracle… and a burn of their reserves."

Renamon nodded. "It won't last long."

Henry adjusted his glasses, grave. "Even a moment is enough to flip a battlefield."

[Reboot World]

"Another… Mega?" Reboot Taichi stared, conflicted.

Reboot Agumon pumped his claws. "Taichi, look! I can be like that too—so cool!"

Mimi clasped her hands, stars in her eyes. "Golden armor! Fabulous!"

Palmon swayed. "Mimi's always right!"

T.K. glanced from the screen to the Angemon at his side. "My brother's power with Kari's… puts out a miracle like that?"

Angewomon's gaze lingered on Kari—feeling a kindred yet distinct holy force.

WarGreymon opened his eyes—revenge burning there.

He locked onto Machinedramon below, every word a blaze.

"Machinedramon—this is for Andromon and the Numemon!"

"Directive: eliminate."

Red code flickered across Machinedramon's optics. The twin cannons on its back charged in an instant, sighting on the diving WarGreymon.

"Infinity Cannon."

Two city-killer torrents howled up to erase him.

WarGreymon didn't flinch.

He crossed both arms—the Dramon Destroyers shining with killing frost.

"Haaah!"

His claws scythed forward—

SHRIIIP—!

Eyes widened across worlds.

The twin torrents split down the middle—cleaved by those claws—racing past his flanks to obliterate distant rock in twin eruptions.

WarGreymon—unscathed.

[02 World]

"No way…" Davis' jaw could fit a Digi-Egg. "He chopped Infinity Cannon with claws?!"

Veemon shook all over. "So strong! That's Mega power!"

Ken's pupils tightened. "Dramon Destroyers—anti-dramon weapons. Machinedramon's mechanical, but its core data is built from many dragon Digimon. He hit the soft spot."

BlackWarGreymon's gaze changed. "Not just type advantage. That's will—anger and courage honed into cutting edge. He… understands why he fights better than I do."

[Pokémon World]

"Whoaaa!" Ash leapt up. "He blocked that?!"

Pikachu pumped tiny fists. "Pika pika!"

Misty folded her arms, stunned. "That was pure energy—how do you slice it? That's not scientific!"

Brock pushed up his glasses. "What we're seeing exceeds our world's rules. Those claws may carry properties that neutralize or shear energy."

Professor Oak scribbled furiously. "Astonishing! Physical interference with high-density beams—battle physics with new laws! Worth a lifetime of study!"

[On-screen]

The volley missed. Machinedramon didn't emote; red light crawled over its armor.

WarGreymon gave it no window.

He kicked, breaking the sound barrier, and vaulted high. Directly above Machinedramon, he stopped—arms raised as all his energy pooled into his palms.

A golden sphere—like a small sun—formed, warping the water-thin air with its heat and pressure.

"Gaia Force!"

The planet's wrath fell like a miniature star—slamming down.

KRA-DOOOOM!

Machinedramon's vaunted Chrome Digizoid shell screeched. For the first time, it cried under strain.

CRACK—CRACK-CRACK!

Webs of fractures raced across metal hide.

"Raaaagh—!"

Sensing true danger at last, Machinedramon roared. Every gun port on its body flared—missiles, lasers, shells—an airtight killing screen poured skyward.

Smoke and fireballs swallowed WarGreymon.

And then—

An orange streak ripped out of the rolling smoke.

He'd used the blast cloud as cover—surging to point-blank.

"Now!"

Murder-light flashed in WarGreymon's eyes. He poured everything into his right Dramon Destroyer—

He drove the claw at the largest crack Gaia Force had opened—in the chest. The core.

"Shatter—already!"

SPLUNCH—!

Chrome Digizoid parted like paper. The claw punched straight into the core.

"No—!"

For the first time, Machinedramon's machine-voice carried a ragged scream.

A storm of current detonated from the core, racing through its frame.

The titan convulsed; red optics flickered… and died.

It toppled.

Before the children's stunned eyes, the arrogant Dark Master unraveled into a blizzard of pale data—then drifted away.

[Savers World]

"Beautiful!" Marcus cracked a fist into his palm. "That's a fight—fists and guts turning impossible into done!"

Agumon S. whooped. "Boss! Let's go, too!"

Gallantmon Crimson Mode watched the fading data. "Courage as spear, friendship as shield… So that is the shape of 'miracle.'"

Alphamon's gaze lingered on the Dramon Destroyer. "Point attack—break the plane. Not brute force alone, but battlecraft."

Craniummon snorted—less disdain than before. "At last… something worth seeing."

[Xros Wars World]

Taiki Kudo exhaled in relief. "We did it—they did it!"

Shoutmon roared from his perch. "Burn hot! That's the soul of a fighter! Tai, you legend!"

Akari and Zenjirou sagged, equal parts thrilled and shaken. "I really thought it was over…"

[On-screen]

The battle ended.

Kari couldn't hold back. She ran to where the Numemon had vanished and knelt.

Only a few fading motes remained—the last proof they'd existed.

Tears slid from her eyes and pattered onto cold metal.

"I'm sorry… I'm so, so sorry…"

A weak mechanical voice answered.

Andromon—blown aside by the shockwave—was even more broken, yet hadn't vanished.

Staring at those lights, he forced the words out. "They used their lives… to protect you. That is… Digimon courage."

With Machinedramon's fall, the city of ruins overhead shook apart—tumbling, dissolving into data on the air.

Spiral Mountain's City Domain was gone.

Tai hurried over and carefully helped the battered Andromon sit up.

He looked through the thinning dark toward the summit—the core.

Their last enemy waited there.

"Only one left."

Tai's eyes were iron.

"Piedmon—we won't back down again."
