Chapter 33 - Are you scared of me?

Elora's mind raced with questions unfit for asking, she was scared to voice them because she could feel how agitated he still was. So she kept quiet lying in his arms in a docile manner. 

Only when they came to a small clearing did Azazeal finally slow the horse to a stop.

"We can't travel during the night, it's not safe. We will rest here till it's morning," he said, his tone brooking no argument.

Elora slipped from the saddle with his help, her legs felt unsteady when she was placed on the ground and her hands tightened on his robe in alarm.

She released a breath of relief when she felt his sturdy arms hold her to him not letting her fall and a warm feeling rose in her chest. 

So this is how it feels when you're not alone in this world, and someone is always there to catch you when you're about to fall. Her lips curled up in mock amusement at how different it was in her past life, she was used to falling. All alone.
