Zoe's words left Eve Sherman feeling uneasy inside.
"I just have something I need to take care of."
"What kind of thing is so secretive that you even have to hide it from President Sutton? Anyway, you should give him a call. He really doesn't look well—I felt sorry just looking at him. If you really have feelings for him, you shouldn't just cut him off and go cold like this, don't you think?"
Zoe had a point.
Eve Sherman knew her own actions were a bit heartless and inconsiderate right now.
