Wyatt quickly stepped forward to help pick up the fruit, cautiously glancing at Eve.
"What were you talking about just now?"
Cecilia stared intently at Eve and asked.
Eve cleared her throat, uncertain of what Cecilia might have overheard, and stubbornly said, "We were talking about when to go home, nothing else."
"Do you think I'm deaf?"
Cecilia glared at Eve, "You two better explain yourselves now. I heard everything, about how you want to separate from President Sutton, and the child, everything. Now, tell me all of it!"
Cecilia's attitude was quite forceful, making Eve's heart skip a beat. She exchanged a glance with Wyatt, unsure of how to respond.
"Mom, maybe you misheard. We weren't talking about me just now, we were talking about someone else."
"Stop giving me excuses. I want to hear everything now, from beginning to end. Otherwise, I'll call The Sutton myself!"
"Please!"
Wyatt was the first to react and immediately stopped Cecilia.
