Chapter 48 - Ultramarines

When the shuttle from the Terran Federation appeared before these Imperial Army soldiers, they boarded it without a word, but froze once inside.

The shuttle's environment was exceptionally pleasant; unlike Imperial shuttles, the Terran Federation's shuttles were equipped with numerous green plants for scenery.

Additionally, a new panel was installed in front of each seat, allowing for entertainment and relaxation.

More importantly, due to the highly scientific artificial design, the chairs on the shuttle were freely adjustable.

They could recline for a rest or activate the massage function for a massage.

The intelligent AI in the chair would conduct a comprehensive scan of them, then deduce the most suitable massage intensity.

Of course, this had to be activated manually.

After all, Space Marines wore ceramite armor; if massaged, the ceramite armor would simply be crushed.

The Imperial Army soldiers who had just entered the shuttle were like natives entering a city; they looked left and right, curiously observing the green plants.

The exquisite decorations, even to these Imperial Army soldiers who had rarely appreciated such things, seemed very beautiful.

The Archmagos was even more excited, prodding everywhere with his probes, attempting to find something he could learn from these exquisite technologies.

Over ten thousand years of life, his emotions had been severely diminished.

However, seeing so much advanced technology still made him incredibly excited.

"Ship Alert: Please be seated immediately. We are about to return. Please be seated immediately."

The AI from the warship reminded these Imperial Army soldiers to quickly take their seats.

In response to these AI reminders, the Imperial Army soldiers complied, as they did not realize it was an AI.

In their eyes, it was probably a service staff member broadcasting a reminder to them.

The Ultramarines were no different; although they were much larger than ordinary humans, the shuttle still provided seats that could accommodate their physique.

Bionic intelligent robots came to them and fastened their seatbelts.

Seatbelts had, in many situations, lost their original purpose.

Especially inside shuttles and warships.

However, fastening seatbelts before departure had become a tradition.

The ship's AI performed a final scan, and after confirming everyone was ready, the shuttle began its return.

One minute later, the shuttle returned to the cruiser, and these Imperial Army soldiers, who had just sat down to await the ship's return, heard a voice again.

"We have returned inside the cruiser. You may now leave your seats and gather outside."

What happened?

What do you mean we're already back inside the cruiser? Didn't they just sit down? How did they get back inside the warship so quickly?

Filled with many questions, they wanted to ask what exactly had happened, but the robots had already returned to their sides, unfastening their seatbelts.

The seatbelts were made of nano-alloy; this grade of alloy ensured that ordinary people could not tear it apart.

Of course, in the Terran Federation, these items would definitely be coated with a layer of necrodermis armor.

In a daze, the Imperial Army soldiers were led out of the warship by the robots, then brought to a gathering square, where they were told to stand.

"You can gather here. By the time you complete your assembly, we should have already arrived at Ultramar."

"Out of respect for you, we will dock in orbit around Ultramar and await the arrival of your Ultramarines' ship to pick you up. This is out of respect for you."

Upon hearing this, whether it was the Ultramarines, the Archmagos, Cawl, or the Living Saint, Celestine, all breathed a sigh of relief.

At least they were willing to save face for them, rather than directly entering Ultramar.

Especially the Ultramarines.

They truly let out a huge sigh of relief.

After all, if this warship truly intended to enter Ultramar, the Ultramarines would not be able to stop it.

The warship docked in orbit around Ultramar, completely ignoring the battle between the surrounding Imperial Army and the Chaos Fleet. Noah did not want to stir up trouble at the moment.

Clearing out the Chaos Fleet in this area was not a big problem for Noah.

But he just didn't want to start a war now, lest he draw the attention of the Chaos Gods back to this place.

About 4 hours after Noah's warship arrived in orbit around Ultramar, a thunderhawk gunship flew near the cruiser.

Noah gave the order.

"You have two choices: first, follow the guidance to enter the warship's interior, or second, we dispatch shuttles to accompany you to the surface. Choose one."

Communication had been established, and the Space Marines inside the thunderhawk gunship were bewildered.

They hadn't even initiated a communication request, yet they had been directly infiltrated. Was this the difference in technology?

With such a vast difference, it was even more imperative not to enter their warship. Therefore, the Space Marines here spoke up.

"We will not enter the warship's interior. Please dispatch shuttles to accompany us down."

"Understood," Noah affirmed, and then 20 more shuttles flew out from inside the cruiser.

To avoid provoking these Imperium of Man forces, Noah did not bring too many troops. He only brought his Psionic Legion and 1000 PDF soldiers.

As for his combat robot and bodyguard robots, they were re-stored in his spatial backpack, ready to be warped out whenever needed.

Watching the 20 shuttles fly out from Noah's side, the Space Marines, after much consideration, chose to continue flying towards the planetary surface.

Since they were already so close, they might as well bring them down.

Regardless, this team also included a Archmagos and a Living Saint of the Emperor.

Under the guidance of the Space Marines, Noah directed the shuttles to follow behind them to the Ultramarines' monastery, Hera Fortress.

Hera Fortress could be called a fortress, and also the Ultramarines' monastery.

This fortress, located on the Ultramarines' homeworld, also possessed decent combat power.

However, unfortunately, as soon as Noah arrived, the AI on the shuttle had already analyzed the entire Hera Fortress and sent the analysis report to Noah's tactical display.

To attack this fortress, for Noah at this moment, he would only need one shuttle for fire suppression, and then dispatch about 1000 PDF soldiers to take it down.

Alternatively, he could act himself, using powerful psionic abilities to instantly shatter this monastery.

Or, he could deploy military combat robot, and one punch would ensure a clean sweep.

No threat at all.

This was the highest evaluation of the Ultramarines' monastery.

After Noah and his group landed, an old Sergeant of the Ultramarines stepped forward to greet them and led Noah and his companions into the Hera Monastery.

Along the way, the Ultramarines, though maintaining strict vigilance.

In Noah's eyes, this was simply a welcoming ceremony.

After all, who would care if a group of ants united to bite them?

Moreover, in Noah's eyes, the Ultramarines weren't even ants.

In his opinion, the Ultramarines' actions were merely passable, still somewhat watchable.
