Chapter 50 - Guilliman

Everyone, led by Calgar, arrived at Roboute Guilliman's location, where a giant remained motionless within a stasis chamber.

Accompanying them were the Honor Guard, the First Company Terminators, the Third Battle Company, and the Grand Master of the Grey Knights.

This was a precaution taken by the Ultramarines; although they didn't believe their defenses held much meaning, they still had to take the necessary actions.

Upon entering the sleeping chamber, everyone except Noah and the long-ears felt the weight of history.

The massive walls and ceiling were adorned with red-guarded frescoes depicting the past deeds of the Ultramarines' father, and the entire hall exuded a solemn and sacred atmosphere.

Seated on the throne was the Primarch, enveloped in a stasis field.

Within the stasis field, Roboute Guilliman still wore the damaged armor from his battle with the Daemon Primarch Fulgrim.

The Emperor's Sword was also placed beside him, and countless Ultramarines and Chapter members had worshipped their gene-father here.

Upon seeing Guilliman, Cawl stepped forward as requested by the others, standing before everyone to announce his mission.

"The agreement I made with the Lord of Ultramar 10,000 years ago was... 'to revive him.'"

"As early as 10,000 years ago, the Lord of Ultramar had already foreseen his death, and therefore he asked me at that time to be sure to save him. Now I have the ability to do so."

Cawl opened his back armor and displayed the Sage's Sanctuary he had crafted over 10,000 years.

With this device, Guilliman could awaken again, and Cawl's words made all the Ultramarines widen their eyes, staring intently at the armor.

What did they hear? They heard that their gene-father could seemingly come back to life, could seemingly reappear among the Ultramarines Chapter.

If their gene-father could live among them, what a wonderful scene that would be.

The Ultramarines were in an uproar, while Noah still stood to the side.

He himself couldn't understand why these Ultramarines were so agitated, as he didn't know what this Primarch represented.

Upon seeing this Primarch, he had already begun a detailed scan of him, finally reaching a conclusion.

"Cawl, perhaps your device won't work."

"This so-called Primarch of yours is heavily contaminated by the Warp, a disgusting pollution from the Chaos Gods of the Warp."

"While I cannot currently determine which Chaos God caused the contamination, you cannot deal with that Warp contamination."

Noah's words were like a bucket of cold water, dousing everyone's heads.

The Ultramarines' originally jubilant expressions instantly froze; their gene-father seemed unable to return after all.

Even Cawl was stunned.

For this promise, he had worked for 10,000 years, spending that time to create this armor, all to fulfill his agreement.

But now someone was telling him his device was ineffective.

How painful was this?

Cawl did not question Noah's words.

Because on the shuttle, he had already seen that the technology mastered by the man opposite him was far superior to his own.

And he also possessed powerful psionics.

While everyone was feeling somewhat sorrowful, the two long-ears from the Aeldari stepped forward, raising a blade in their hands.

Yvraine, the representative of the Aeldari Mournival, spoke.

"Besides the armor crafted by Cawl, healing the Primarch also requires the power of the Lord of Death that she carries."

This was why she had come here.

"That powerful human is correct.

The toxin entangling Guilliman is a corrupting poison from the Warp, and the power of Ynnead can reverse the cycle of life and death and awaken the Primarch.

But the God of the Dead and Whispers cannot perform the cycle out of thin air.

Currently, Guilliman is neither alive nor dead, merely eternally suspended in the moment of death."

"Therefore, if you want to save your Primarch, I need to kill Guilliman with my own hands."

"After that, he can be resurrected with the help of Cawl's armor."

No sooner had these words been spoken than they immediately ignited the emotions of everyone present; even Noah looked askance at this Aeldari.

How arrogant was it for an alien to declare that she would kill a human?

Just now, Noah had confirmed that the Guilliman opposite him could be categorized as human, and therefore he was human. And an alien actually wanted to harm a human?

Calgar, the Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, roared in anger.

"As long as I live, I will never allow an alien witch to approach my Primarch!"

The Inquisitor and the Marshal of the Black Templars in the group immediately led their forces to the side of the Ultramarines.

They prepared to fight Cawl, the Living Saint, and the two Lords.

In addition, Noah's troops also received his signal. The PDF troops raised their gauss rifles, pointing them at the two arrogantly speaking aliens.

Although Noah himself said nothing, his meaning was already very clear.

A small alien and heretic actually tried to kill a human, and to kill a human in front of him, a federation scientist; this was simply trampling on him.

The Terran Federation possessed noble moral qualities and a strong sense of responsibility towards its own people, but for those who were not their own... especially for those aliens, the Terran Federation was the greatest enemy and threat they faced in this universe.

Noah could treat the people of the Imperium of Man gently and respect their various messy things after confirming they were human.

But this did not mean that an alien could speak like that.

humans had their own manifest destiny; all aliens must fall at humanity's feet, grovel, or be annihilated.

The actions of Noah's PDF troops greatly surprised the Ultramarines and the Imperial Army.

They had originally thought Noah would stand with Cawl. The Imperial Army had already prepared to be easily crushed by Noah.

But they did not expect this mysterious person to choose to stand on their side and raise his weapons, preparing to directly eliminate the two long-ears. This made the Inquisitor's impression of Noah even better.

Inquisitor: "I told you, this powerful human is definitely fine. He can distinguish right from wrong in the face of major issues, isn't he standing with us now?"

However, to everyone's surprise, Chief Librarian Tigurius walked to Cawl's side.

His eyes, filled with psionics, looked directly at his Chapter Master.

"Please, Chapter Master, believe my prophecy."

And Cawl began to explain his actions.

Celestine looked eagerly at Noah, repeatedly stating that this was all the Emperor's will, the Emperor's intention.

Facing their explanations, the Imperial side had no reaction; they all focused their gaze on Noah. This great boss was the only one in the room who could make a decision.

The situation was actually very clear: whoever Noah was willing to help would win this time; the other side would have no chance of success.

Under everyone's eager gaze, Noah spoke.

"I have no interest in your messy affairs.

The only thing that truly angers me is that these xenos actually tried to kill a human in front of me? This shows a complete disregard for my presence."

Noah expressed his displeasure, his spearhead pointed directly at the long-ears of the Aeldari.

Humanity's Manifest Destiny and the Terran Federation's absolute intolerance for xenos made it impossible for Noah to accept these xenos daring to lay hands on a human in his presence.

He had tolerated these two xenos coming this far only because they had helped the humans on the other side, but now... these xenos actually dared to openly state their intention to kill a human in front of him. Noah could not tolerate such behavior.

Noah's stance stunned everyone present.

They had never imagined that Noah's position would be so clear-cut: he could not accept xenos harming humans.

Yvraine also hadn't expected it was simply because they were xenos?

Just because they were xenos, Noah reacted to them with hostility.

What's wrong with being a xeno? Do xenos deserve to die? Can't xenos become friends with the Imperium of Man? Why is everyone acting so racist?

Although she had many things she wanted to say, she wisely remained silent.

She knew very well that if she dared to utter a single word, Noah might just reach out and crush all of them, the Aeldari.

That powerful psionics made her feel fear from the bottom of her heart.

The scene fell silent. After a minute, Noah spoke again.

"Isn't it just saving one person? Do you have to make it so complicated?"

"Although the Warp's toxins are indeed a headache, they are not impossible to remove.

Cawl, boldly place your armor on Guilliman; I will remove this part of the problem for him."

"Although this power is similar to the Chaos Gods of the Warp, my psionics can also cleanse him. It's not a big problem; just go ahead and do it."

Earth-shattering. This was truly earth-shattering.

The toxins on Guilliman were from Slaanesh, and now Noah was directly saying he could remove them.

Everyone present stared at Noah with wide eyes, as if he had said something utterly shocking.

However, Cawl's reaction was relatively quick, perhaps because he was already almost entirely a machine.

Cawl did not hesitate; instead, with the help of Living Saint Celestin, he moved the enormous cargo next to Guilliman.

Living Saint Celestin and Cawl chose to trust Noah.

One reason was the Emperor's revelation, and the other was their trust in Noah's powerful technological capabilities and the fact that Noah also needed Guilliman.

They believed Noah would not harm Guilliman.

But when Noah said those words, the Ultramarines were completely dumbfounded.

The Imperial Army saw the PDF, who had been pointing their guns at the Aeldari alongside them, turn their weapons towards them.

Although the Ultramarines also took up arms to try and contend with them, the enemy had superior numbers.

When a gauss rifle was set to high-power single-shot mode, it only took one shot to eliminate an Ultramarine.

This was the confidence of the PDF in pointing their guns at these once demigods.

Not only were the Imperial Army stunned, but the Aeldari were equally bewildered.

They had come to show goodwill to the Imperium, so was this considered showing goodwill now?

They were unable to successfully save Guilliman.

If they couldn't personally make outstanding, undeniable contributions to saving Guilliman, then their relationship with the Imperium of Man would clearly not improve at all.

Yvraine clearly wanted to say something.

But Noah, who was clearly already displeased with these xenos, would not allow them to speak. Powerful psionics directly forced them to their knees.

Are you serious?

Do you really think the Terran Federation is interested in talking to these low-level civilizations?

If it weren't for their help to humanity earlier, he would have crushed them long ago.

Now they actually think they still have the right to speak with Noah.

If this were in the federation, these low-level xeno civilizations wouldn't even have the possibility of entering federation territory.

They would even have to bow down respectfully when meeting an ordinary federation citizen, otherwise they would face the federation's punishment.

Powerful psionics directly enveloped these Mournival lords, rendering them immobile.

"What are you babbling about? Do you really think I'm interested in hearing you speak? Xenos should just stay put obediently. Don't think I have time to bother with you."

"Such low-level civilizations and inferior races like yourselves, actually attempting to have equal dialogue with humanity?"

"If your planet has liquids, I suggest you go back and get some liquids to look at yourselves, to see where you think you have the right to speak with humanity."

Noah mercilessly rebuked these long-ears.

The personality of someone from the Terran Federation began to show in him.

So arrogant, just like the Terran Federation of old in the Warhammer World.

Humans once held the same attitude towards xenos.

Of course, the current Imperium of Man isn't much better.

So, no one really misunderstood Noah's attitude.

After dealing with these xenos, Noah's psionics began to appear within the stasis field, directly clearing the Slaanesh virus from Guilliman.

If this poison had been left by Slaanesh herself and contained a large amount of her power, then Noah truly would have been helpless.

The problem was that this power did not have a large amount of Slaanesh's blessing.

Therefore, Noah could still clear it. In just 4 minutes, Slaanesh's virus was purged.

"Cawl, put your armor on your Primarch. There are no more problems."

"Wake up your Primarch; I have things to ask him. This is why I came to find you, so execute it immediately now."

After clearing Slaanesh's virus, Noah's voice rang coldly in Cawl's ear.

To be honest, he was still a bit angry.

What kind of xeno dares to presumptuously claim in front of humans that he will kill humans? What arrogance is this?

The Starfish Empire, which once used their colossi to destroy humanity's Europa colony, had already been turned into canned goods by humanity.

Those Starfish had lost their right to survive; they were born to be food.

This was done by the Terran Federation personally. If Starfish, like pig-heads, blew up Earth Union planets, then don't blame the Terran Federation for destroying their planets.

To speak of harming humans in front of the Terran Federation clearly meant not wanting to live.

Noah was born in the Terran Federation, and the Terran Federation's ideology was deeply ingrained in his heart.

He didn't directly crush those long-ears; that was already giving Cawl and the others face, and it was only because these guys had helped humans.

Of course, another thought was to try and pinpoint where this race actually came from.

If circumstances allowed, Noah was prepared to wipe out this race.

Naturally, the reason for declaring war would be to eliminate a threat.

Today, if they dared to speak of killing a human, tomorrow they might come to bomb human colony planets.

Eliminating them for the safety of all humanity, or disarming them, would be the best choice.
