Walter shook his head firmly, his jaw setting in a stubborn line.
"You must say no to them," Walter said emphatically. "That kind of production is unlicensed. We shouldn't get involved with them at all."
"I know that," Naomi said, her voice weary. "I've told them before, but they keep calling."
"Then block their number," Walter suggested.
"I tried," Naomi said with a sigh. "They just call from different numbers."
"Persistent, aren't they?" Hailey observed quietly.
"Too persistent," Walter said darkly. "Which means they're desperate. Which means they're dangerous."
"I'll handle it," Naomi assured him. "Don't worry."
Naomi began to rise from her chair, moving slowly and carefully.
"I'll leave you two to talk," Naomi said to Hailey, her smile returning. "Make yourself at home, okay?"
"Thank you, Naomi," Hailey replied warmly. "For everything."
Walter immediately stood up, his protective instincts engaging.
