Chapter 49 - Don't tell Bo(1)

Willow's blessings, Brooklyn

Willow's is a shop tucked in a corner of Brooklyn Avenue. The shop was home to numerous spell books, herbs, and crystals, and many more items that would get you labelled as a heretic. For Jane, this was her second home.

Roaming her manicured fingers over a thick leather book that held curses far older than her grandma. Jane schemes through the romance chapter.

"Hey Willow, do you have those Swedish love spells by chance?"

Popping her head from her staff area, Mrs.Willow, a pale-skinned lady with untamed black hair that tangled like vines, and her black dress, which Jane envied for how much it made her look like a witch.

"Dear, don't tell me you're going to use it on that nice Carpenter?" Willow asked,"

"Nice is a stretch...more like a simp." She chuckled.

"Well–in that case, just look by the herbs, you'll find red spice there...don't touch it with your bare hands unless you want to fall in love with me instead. "

"What makes you think I haven't already ~"

"I'm old enough to be your mother. " She died.

"Way to ruin the moment. " Jane gagged at the mention of her mother."I'll just get the herbs and a memory crystal. I can't let Todd remember the time I nearly pushed him down the steps."

"He probably deserved it, I hate that lumpy furry ball."

"Riiight.

Hehe,hee.

The two burst into a fit of giggles that sounded like witches scheming.

Jane met Mrs.Willow during her senior year in high school. When she wasn't grossing out the Mean Girls or getting a Mental health evaluation by the School counsellor, she spent her time at Willow's shop. She was like a mother to her, letting her rant about her hatred for mortal life, teaching her about the history of Vampiric connections with Witches and the afternoons they would buy breadcrumbs to teach the crows to attack annoying customers.

Mrs.Willow approached Jane, hugging her from behind, her chin on the Goth's head, who was just a few inches shorter than in heels. "Tell me love~are you happy with him? Does he let you express your bat tendencies? Can he even pay taxes?"

"Yes,yes and obliviously yes to the last question. " She smirked, "His sane enough to handle all 3 of us."

"Wait, as in the White sisters and you?"

"Yes mom. His damn near fits like a glove." Jane swooned.

"I need to meet this man immediately!" Mrs.Willow tightening her hold of Jane.

"No way! You're 4 times more problematic than me." Jane turned to face her.

Their charcoal eyes stared at each other in a silent communication onky they could understand. Like two stray cats waiting for the moment to hiss.

"I damn near raised you Jane. "

"You skipped the diapers and went straight for my gullible teen self~"

"We laughed about torture devices. "

"You taught me how to hog-tie people. "

"You enjoyed every lesson. "

"Fair. " She admitted.

"I'm coming Tuesday. "

"Friday. "

"Tuesday. "

"Thursday and I'll bake cookie."

"...Deal."

The two nodded in agreement, Jane bought her items to be used to test Bo's anatomy.

"Bye Mother~" She waved goodbye.

"Love you brat." The witch smirked.

The door closed and Jane blended into the bustling streets.

"They grow up so fast."
