Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Muzan's Warning

"ah!"

Doma dodged backward, easily avoiding Ryuri's attack: "How cunning of you! You were trying to ambush me, weren't you!"

Long Li said, "Just now, you were trying to hurt them in front of me, weren't you?"

He slowly walked towards Douma, who stood smiling in the distance, curiously looking at the crimson barrier surrounding him.

"Disobedient subordinates are really a headache."

Doma stuck his finger into his temple: "Sigh, then I'll teach you a lesson."

'Doma!'

Doma was taken aback. "Huh? Lord Muzan?"

In an unknown location, Muzan strolled through the snow, his expression indifferent: "What do you want to do?"

Doma said in a dazed and innocent tone, "Lord Muzan, I want to teach these disobedient demons a lesson."

"Get back to your territory!" Muzan's emotionless voice echoed in Doma's ears.

"Yes, Lord Muzan, I'll be right there."

Doma looked up at Ryūri with some surprise. That lord hadn't summoned him for decades.

"Hey, hello there, young man. My name is Douma."

Suddenly, Douma ran up to Ryuu with a grin and said, "It seems we had a misunderstanding just now. I am truly sorry for what happened earlier."

This person... is sick in the head.

Longli looked at the man in front of him with some doubt.

Seeing that Ryūri ignored him, Doma didn't mind. He smiled and waved his hand, "I'm really sorry about today. Everyone is welcome to visit my church if you have time. Well then, see you next time!"

As he was about to leave, he suddenly bounced back as if he had bumped into something.

"Um, young man..."

Doma was somewhat embarrassed: "I don't want to break your Blood Demon Art, so could you please undo it yourself?"

Ryūrimi Doma didn't seem to have any intention of fighting him, so he released the Blood Demon Art.

Goodbye, handsome young man, beautiful lady, and that ugly male ghost!

As he spoke, Douma disappeared into the night, moving so fast that the naked eye could not keep up with his departure.

Seeing him leave, Long Li's face turned solemn.

Is this the upper moon?

Although the Upper Moon and Lower Moon differ by only one character, their strength is worlds apart!

Judging from the speed at which he left, Ryuri was no match for him at all, not to mention the Blood Demon Art that he hadn't even shown.

Long Li sighed. Sure enough, he was still too weak.

He now understood what Muzan meant when he said that the Lower Moon was just the beginning. It seemed he needed to work hard to improve his strength and become an Upper Moon first.

Meanwhile, Mei and her brother were still under the pressure from Douma and had not yet recovered. After a long while, Mei came to her senses and then looked in the direction Douma had left, jumping up like a cat with its fur standing on end: "Hey, come back here! Who are you calling an ugly ghost!"

You're the ugly one! You stupid, bad, bastard! I'm not ugly!

"Okay, Mei."

Gyutaro smiled helplessly: "If that guy comes back, we're in trouble."

"Brother, that guy actually said you're ugly! I'll make him pay next time I see him!" Mei said angrily.

"Are you all alright?"

Longli looked at them and asked.

No, no.

Mei immediately became obedient to Ryūri, while Gyutaro nervously looked at the wound on Ryūri's abdomen: "Sir, your injury..."

"Oh, it's just a minor injury, it's nothing serious."

Longli looked down at the wound on his abdomen. When did he get this wound? He hadn't even noticed it before. Was it from that guy's fan?

However, the wound is not deep and is almost healed.

"My lord, I am truly grateful to you for saving my sister!" Gyutaro said, his eyes filled with gratitude, as he knelt before Ryu.

"And if it weren't for your protection, that despicable fellow certainly wouldn't have let Mei go so easily. I have no way to repay you except with my life! If there's anything you need us siblings to do, please don't hesitate to ask. We'll serve you to the best of our ability!"

"Alright, get up now," Long Li said gently. "Didn't I already tell you? The best way to repay me is for you to strive to become stronger and protect each other."

"I will definitely do it!" Gyutaro's face was resolute, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I will absolutely never let Mei suffer any more harm!"

Mei knelt firmly before the dragon, her fists clenched tightly as if she had made a firm decision. "I will also do my best to assist my brother, and you, sir!" She added the last sentence on purpose, her tone particularly earnest.

Longli smiled and patted Mei's head, gently reminding her, "You must remember what you said, okay? Don't become a burden that others have to protect all the time, understand?"

This statement sounds more like something he would say to his past self.

Under the watchful eyes of Mei and her brother, Longli gradually walked away into the distance.

"Sir, where are you going?"

Mei asked nervously, "Can we come with you?"

Long Li said, "I don't even know where I'm going, so how can you follow me?"

Mei cried out urgently, "Can we go home with you?"

Is it home?

Longli raised his head; that was truly an unfamiliar word!

"I have no home anymore." He looked utterly desolate at that moment.

Mei suggested softly, "How about we go to our house first?"

Longli suddenly stopped in his tracks. "That's a really good suggestion!"

...

"I'm so sorry to have caused you all this trouble."

Longli poured himself some hot tea while holding Mei, and said somewhat apologetically.

"No trouble at all!"

Gyutaro quickly replied, "I'm glad you don't mind the place here."

"Why should you complain?"

Longli looked at the room where he and his sister lived, somewhat puzzled.

Although it wasn't large, it was tidied up very well and kept very clean.

A warm house, a loved one by your side.

This is what Longli most desires but cannot obtain.

Mei seemed to see the dejection in Longli's eyes, and she said, "If you don't mind, you can stay as long as you want."

"Won't this cause you trouble?"

Although he liked the place very much, Longli did not want his arrival to be a burden to others.

"Please, please don't say such things."

Mei said with a serious expression, "We're overjoyed that you can stay here."

"I hope I won't cause you any trouble."

Ryūri took a sip of hot tea, then put down his teacup and looked at Ume and Gyutaro: "Alright, now let's talk about your problems."
