Chapter 5 - The Patrol and Parasites-ACT FOUR

When Ethan opened his eyes, everything felt strange. He was no longer in the forest. The ground under him felt cold and smooth. As his eyes adjusted, he saw that he was lying inside a coffin. The lid was transparent, and an orange light glowed around him.

Chains held his wrists and ankles, making it impossible for him to move. Ethan's mind was spinning with confusion. He didn't know where he was or what had happened to him.

Suddenly, the lid of his coffin creaked open. He gasped and sat up slowly, his body stiff and tied in chains. He tried to free himself, but the chains wouldn't move. Looking around, he noticed seven

coffins arranged in a straight line including his own. Coffin number 1 glowed bright blue, which was opaque, while the remaining five coffins were transparent, including his, glowed orange. The last coffin, number 7, didn't glow at all, and it was fully open and empty.

At the center of the room, there was a large mirror. It gave off a bright light that spread across the room. The light from the mirror had a strange power—it was showing his own past, playing out

what happened in the forest like a movie. Ethan could feel that the mirror held significance, but he didn't fully understand why.

When he looked at other coffins that were transparent, he saw figures inside that looked exactly like him. They had the same face, the same body—everything. It was like he was looking at copies of himself.
