"Madam!", Darius again shouted; Elian woke up from deep sleep and rubbed his eyes. "Ha! What's going on, mom?" He asked while still rubbing his eyes.
"Nothing, baby, nothing happened!!!" I said while drawing him closer and putting him on my chest while giving him a few pats on the back.
"Baby? You never call him baby!" Darius said, making me freeze right there.
So Aria does not call him baby? What other name does she use? Elian? Son? Or what other name could there be to call a baby? Did I get caught? Did I get caught that I'm not Aria but I'm......
I could not think anymore. My head started pounding with rage. My name, for the life of me, I could not remember. Why can't I remember my name? Why? What was I? What was I before getting here? Who am I?
"Ahhhhh!!!!!!" I screamed while my hand got loose over Elian like he would fall right there at the bottom of the carriage. But, out of impulse, I got to stretch my hand to hold him; before I could hold on to him, Darius caught him.
"Ahhh!!!" I screamed again.
"What is this pain?" I mumbled. Now I could hear nothing, but I felt Darius calling me by the title MADAM. Still, I could not hear anything and lost my consciousness, falling on the seat right there. Darkness was covering my eyes as if there were some dark clouds covering up my vision.
"Aria Lumiere!" I heard someone calling.
"Who is it? Why are you calling Aria? I'm not Aria! I mmmmmm....." couldn't remember my name any longer.
"You should not have returned, Aria Lumiere. This place is not the place you think of. Something exists here that will not exist in the future, and you are being lured by it." I heard the voice again.
"Who are you? What are you saying? I don't understand what you are saying. Are you warning me for taking Aria Lumiere's body?" I said, feeling cold.
"Ha ha, you are thinking wrong, Aria Lumiere! But keep the conversation we had in mind unless you want to face the same consequences ONCE MORE!" The voice said.
"What? What did you say? I couldn't hear. Can you repeat it?" I kept on asking, but the voice had never returned. But soon I opened my eyes in an unfamiliar place which I was not aware of.
"Mom, mom, mom, you are awake mom!!!! You are finally awake!!!! I was so worried for you mom. If not for dad, then I don't know what I was going to do there with you." Elian said while standing beside the bed with eyes full of tears.
I tried to get up and gain hold of him, and then, a hand pulled me back from behind. I turned to see who it was, and none other than Darius was standing there.
"You can't carry him now!!" he coldly ordered.
"Oh, Your Highness, it is your bed. I might have accidentally fallen asleep here unknowingly," I said, trying to get up.
"Sit!!!" he ordered.
I froze.
"You were unconscious, so I brought you here. This is your chamber from now on," he said.
"Mine? I'm going to share it with you? How many times am I going to tell you that we are not husband and wife," I said, frustrated.
"You have no choice but to be with it," he said, his brow raised.
"I'm sure you think the heir of yours was born from me, that is why you are treating me this way, but you don't need to think that. The son is mine, and I have my husband who is a hunter, not an emperor, so you don't need to be responsible for me. And even if you think it is, then please send me to the concubine chambers. I will be there until this issue is solved," I said, smiling.
"But Your Highness, there is no concubine," a maid who just entered through the main door said while placing a soup bowl beside me.
"What does it mean that His Highness doesn't have concubines? Emperors have multiple women. I know you don't have to act like this with me," I said.
"You are misunderstanding the situation, Your Highness. The emperor hasn't married anyone other than you," she said.
"Ha ha, what a funny joke," I said.
"The emperor is married to me? What is the proof? Can you provide me with proof regarding this?" Darius was still silent while the maid turned to him, which only confirmed my belief that he has never married Aria; there was never any marriage whatsoever.
"See, this is what I have been talking about for so long. So please stop with this drama and if there is no concubine room, then a guest room should be fine too," I said nicely while looking at the maid who looked at Darius once more.
"No need!! You will be here. I would like to be with my wife. About Elian—his room has been prepared. He will be there," he said, which was boiling my blood.
"And whom did you take the permission from to send my son to another room which I don't even know of?" I demanded angrily.
"He is my son too. He is my heir. I will do what I think is best for him. I don't need to take permission from you regarding this," he said again, icy cold.
"Elian will go nowhere," I stuck to my word.
"He will!" he said, arguing with me. As I was about to say something, the door creaked open, making a man enter the room.
"I greet Your Royal Highness," he said.
"Oh, doctor! Did you find out what happened to Madam?" Darius asked.
"I apologize, Your Highness, but no issue is inside the royal empress," he said, making me shocked.
"Then how on earth was the painful ache from?"
"How was the pain so severe that I passed out?"
"And how on earth do I no longer remember my name?"
"What are all these mysteries going on here with me?"
