I groaned as I pushed myself off the forest floor, brushing dirt from my clothes. Birds chirped overhead, leaves rustled under a soft breeze — peaceful… annoyingly peaceful.
So the Omnipotent Idiot really did it.
No menu. No system screen. No instant spell downloads.Just… talent.
I checked my memories — or rather, the new layer in my mind. It was like someone wired my brain into a supercomputer: sharper logic, faster thoughts, enhanced perception… and one giant glowing marker in my awareness:
Hogwarts.I knew exactly where it was — distance, direction, even elevation. The knowledge sat in my mind like it had always belonged there.
That was something.
I scanned the tree line again — tall oaks and pines, no roads, no smoke, no civilisation. Just endless green. Middle-earth was beautiful, sure… but also absolutely deadly. Between Orcs, giant spiders, and Balrogs, this world was basically a medieval death-trap.
And I currently had zero spells.
"Well," I muttered to myself, "no point dying on Day One."
I oriented myself toward Hogwarts — northwest. The sensation was like a tug in my chest, urging me forward.
I started walking.
The forest felt ancient — older than any forest back on Earth. Moss covered the ground like a soft green carpet, roots tangled underfoot, and the trees towered overhead like guardians or judges.
Every sound made me more alert. A snapped twig. Wings flapping. The distant call of… something big.
"Right. Middle-earth," I whispered. "Totally not safe."
I tested my magic — held out my hand and focused. I expected sparks. Light. Anything.
Nothing.
"Okay… okay. Wandless magic is supposed to be hard. Even for Dumbledore."
I calmed my breathing. Magic wasn't just willpower — it was intent and emotion. I pictured the simplest spell I could think of.
Lumos.
A soft glow flickered on my palm — weak, sputtering, but light all the same.
My heart leapt.
"I actually did it."
The glow faded quickly. I was sweating from the effort.
"Right. Magic is possible… but I'm basically a toddler with a nuke."
One step at a time. Knowledge first. Hogwarts first.
Hours passed. My legs burned. Hunger gnawed at my stomach.I wasn't helpless — but I wasn't strong yet, either.
Then—A distant rumble echoed through the trees.
I froze.That was not thunder.
Bushes shook. A guttural growl rolled through the air like a warning.
I didn't need my newfound intellect to recognize trouble.
Something huge was moving toward me.
My pulse hammered.
"Of course," I hissed. "Day One boss fight."
Instinct screamed to run — but magic thrummed weakly under my skin, waiting to be used. If I died here, the God would probably laugh himself sick.
I took a shaky step backward, eyes locked on the trembling foliage…
A shadow loomed.Massive. Fanged. Hungry.
I swallowed hard.
"Alright," I whispered, voice trembling but determined.
"If this is my new life… time to fight for it."
