Chapter 50 - 50

Elizabeth's zombie legion fell like cut wheat within the range of the heavy machine guns, blood and gore flying everywhere, but the hundreds of thousands of zombie tide continuously advanced, spreading out towards the isolation wall without any fear.

The heavy machine guns had an extremely high rate of fire, and bullets, like streams of light, swept through the zombie tide like a storm.

Human civilization was being tested.

"Report, gun barrel is overheating, need to switch guns."

"Bullets... quickly... there are too many of these zombies."

"Don't panic, there are still flamethrowers, they won't get through."

"When will days like this end?"

"It's only just begun... old soldier."

The barrels of the heavy machine guns glowed red in the night, and even with rapid gun changes, the zombie tide had pushed into the 1000-meter Warning Zone .

The building flamethrowers were equipped with huge high-pressure air pumps, capable of spraying gasoline nearly a thousand meters, creating a massive fan-shaped sea of fire.

The zombie legion was incinerated, thousands upon thousands, quickly depleting their numbers.

Elizabeth immediately ordered the zombie tide to withdraw from the warning zone.

Lin Fan already knew of Elizabeth's decline through the Overlord, but the Diggers were hollowing out the ground, approaching the warning zone.

Underneath the warning zone, to prevent tunneling, the area was reinforced with mercury.

However, mercury could only prevent shallow soil layers from being penetrated.

Diggers could reach tens of thousands of meters underground, so this mercury reinforcement could only temporarily block Elizabeth's HYDRA.

Inside the isolation wall were specialized tanks filled with fuel for the long-term operation of the building flamethrowers.

When attacked and a leak occurred, this fuel would chemically react with oxygen, thereby burning to Death the intruders.

The mercury would prevent the flames from spreading further after burning the intruders to Death.

After bypassing the mercury, the Diggers came into contact with the fuel tanks, but the moment the fuel met oxygen, it turned the underground into a sea of fire.

Under Lin Fan's control, the Diggers reacted swiftly, retreating into deeper soil layers; they were severely burned but not killed.

Colonel Cabin received news of the fuel tanks being attacked and sneered; those fuel tanks had been specially modified with internal layered compartments, containing numerous independent spaces, so most of the fuel had not leaked.

However, even if a direct hole couldn't be made by Diggers, Lin Fan's Leapers could directly emerge through tunnels near the isolation wall.

The flame-retardant effect of the mercury extinguished the leaked fuel. Thousands of Leapers tore through the ground via tunnels and rapidly climbed up the wall.

The nozzles of the building flamethrowers were several meters long, rendering them useless against close-range enemies. The heavy machine guns on the wall were fixed by brackets, and their blind spots were also at the Base of the wall, so the only firepower against the Leapers was assault rifles.

Since the flamethrowers were below, the soldiers couldn't throw fragmentation grenades, otherwise, damaging the flamethrower nozzles would cause the zombie legion to swarm in.

While human wisdom should not be underestimated, Lin Fan controlled the Zerg, and his wisdom was the wisdom of the Zerg.

Humans considered all aspects through architecture, Materials, and equipment, believing they had everything under control, but now their advantage had turned into a disadvantage.

Assault rifle bullets only left white marks on the Leapers' bodies and caused no substantial damage.

Moreover, because Leapers had extremely enhanced explosive power, they possessed a very high desire to attack, and when struck, they would become even more frenzied.

A mere eight-meter isolation wall was but a single leap for the Leapers.

The Leapers climbed onto the wall, then lunged down from mid-air again, causing great chaos on the wall.

With the suppression by the Leapers, nearby automatic turrets were dismantled, and Overlords began deployment operations carrying Splitters.

The Splitters devoured the corpses, incubating miniature hatchlings, expanding the number of Splitters.

The several-kilometer-long isolation wall that Colonel Cabin was tasked with defending was quickly occupied.

Behind the wall, Colonel Cabin was dumbfounded, thinking, "This is impossible, how could those Zerg seize the isolation wall so quickly!!!"

Colonel Cabin was distraught; he had lost everything, and now that the isolation wall was breached, his life was over.

The remaining survivors fled frantically. The Leapers had already jumped down from the isolation wall, leaving Queens, and were carrying out a Carnage at the logistics command center.

Colonel Cabin, kneeling outside the isolation wall, let out an unwilling roar, then his skull was pierced by a Leaper's claw, and he became nourishment for the Zerg. No one would remember him again, a failure.

After destroying most of the automatic turrets on the isolation wall, the aerial passage for the Overlords to the Safe Green Zone became clearer. Dozens of storage tanks containing Space Spiders were rapidly transported, and Lin Fan's plan was unfolding.

If Gentek knew Lin Fan was going to throw these Space Spiders back, Dr. Asa's expression would surely be very interesting, and Lin Fan also included a big gift: Umbrella's Moon Goddess.

By then, the Military Base would be crawling with spiders, and all the soldiers would turn into berserk zombies, which would be enough to give the Military a massive headache.
