Chapter 1 - I Died, But the Sky Sent Me an Invitation

My name is Kuro Takashiro Yamada.

Yes, it sounds like a name someone invented after spinning a wheel of "cool syllables."

I was just an ordinary student in the floating city of Lumina Arc, a place where skyships drifted lazily and gravity sometimes forgot its job.

That all changed when a massive golden chariot fell from the clouds, glowing brighter than the sun and heading straight for me.

> "Oops… sorry about this!"

"Wait—WHAT—"

BAM.

I died.

Or… maybe not. I opened my eyes to a void of shifting colors, like the auroras had a meeting and decided to redecorate reality.

Standing before me was a figure in a robe made of liquid light. His beard floated independently, curling like it had its own agenda. A glowing plaque hovered above his head:

> Administrator of Multiversal Beginnings, Shift Alpha.

"Welcome, Kuro," he said. "You've been chosen for… well, everything."

"Everything?" I asked, feeling my sanity wobble.

"Yes. Hero. Villain. Scholar. Monster. Leader. Cook. Farmer. Collector of Legendary Socks. All at once. Don't worry, it makes sense in this universe… somehow."

Before I could protest, seven floating screens blinked into existence around me, each with a cheerful ding!

> [SYSTEM INSTALLED: Heroic Ascension Tracker]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: Random Skill Generator]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: Interdimensional Gacha]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: Companion Bond Leveler]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: Arcane Cuisine Simulator]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: Legendary Farming Expansion]

[SYSTEM INSTALLED: System Management System]

I stared at them, speechless.

"Why… so many systems!?"

"Because the multiverse loves chaos," the figure said, smiling.

Before I could even scream, the colors around me swirled faster, and a message appeared in glowing letters:

> "Initializing existence… Please enjoy your unprecedented adventure."
