Chapter 1 - Victorious Esclosten

Kayleigh, the glorious knight of the Esclosten Empire, was renowned for serving the empire and protecting the kingdom on the battlefield. The name Kayleigh means "Warrior," and the house of Kayleigh has built a reputation in the Esclosten Empire for winning numerous battles throughout history. The men of the family have always served the empire bravely, ensuring that victory was consistently on their side, no matter which war they participated in.

However, there was cause for concern this time, as the house of Kayleigh had no men left to carry on that legacy. The family now only had one daughter, Esmeralda, who was bravely serving the empire on the battlefield.

Around 212 B.C., a war erupted between the Esclosten Empire and the Kingdom of Destruth. The conflict lasted for two years, resulting in the loss of countless knights and leaving many women without husbands and children without fathers. This war could have been avoided if the crown prince of Destruth had not dared to harm the blessings of the Esclosten Empire. Initially, both the people of Destruth and the Esclosten Empire believed that this would merely be another cold war, expecting that neither side would escalate the conflict further.

As days passed, tensions worsened, leading to all out war. Ultimately, the Esclosten Empire emerged victorious and took control of the neighboring kingdom. The victory was attributed to the bravery and intelligence displayed by Esmeralda, the commander of the knights. She was the only woman on the battlefield and not only secured victory but also captured the hearts of both commoners and royalty alike.

Initially, there were concerns among the commoners about whether the house of Kayleigh could maintain its battlefield reputation, but Esmeralda did not disappoint. She bravely upheld the legacy of her house and the honor of the Esclosten Empire.

Meanwhile, within the empire, a royal guard entered the presence of the crown prince Gabriel Ludwig de Arcement, a blonde man busy working on documents. The guard stood at attention, holding a letter in his right hand.

"Greetings, Your Highness," the guard said.

Gabriel looked up, his sharp ruby gaze scrutinizing the royal guard. "What is it?" he asked.

"Your Highness, the Esclosten Empire has won the battle under the guidance of the brave commander, Esmeralda Illinois de Kayleigh."

"What?" Gabriel's voice was filled with astonishment.

He was surprised to hear the news, but quickly masked his reaction. No one was permitted to raise their heads in front of the imperial family unless instructed to do so. Hiding his surprise, he motioned for the royal guard to leave after delivering the message.

As the guard departed, Gabriel stood up and walked to the window, gazing at the bright sun. A faint smile appeared on his face; it was a symbol of light in the world, marking the return of something precious to him. For two years, the sun of his life had been absent, but now it seemed to be coming back.

Gabriel felt a wave of new emotions stirring in his heart, and the thought of Esmeralda's return made it flutter. He pondered, I should give her a valuable present. But what could I gift her?

Suddenly, he heard heavy footsteps approaching. Out of the corner of his right eye, he saw a slender man holding a tea set in both hands. It was Jack, his butler, good friend, and protector.Kayleigh, the glorious knight of the Esclosten Empire, was renowned for serving the empire and protecting the kingdom on the battlefield.
