Chapter 121 - Summer’s vow

Landon still couldn't understand why Summer was choosing Gideon. How could she forget everything that man had done to her and her family?

Back then, the Woods had nearly destroyed them, sending debt collectors who almost pushed them to the brink. If Landon hadn't intervened and helped them flee the city overnight, they wouldn't have survived. And now she wanted to return to the very place where she had been humiliated.

'Has she really forgotten all of it?' he wondered bitterly.

"It's my decision to go with him," Summer said firmly. "Please don't interfere. I don't want to argue."

Landon opened his mouth to protest, but Gideon cut in coldly. "You heard her. You should leave."

Landon wanted nothing more than to throw Gideon out himself. But it wasn't Gideon who refused to listen. It was Summer. Forcing her now would only push her further away.

He looked at her one last time, pain flashing in his eyes, then shot Gideon a warning glare before storming out.
