Bai Tingting turned her head.
A gigantic dog with gray-black fur was slowly coming up step by step.
It didn't bark, but its entire body emitted a kind of terrifying wildness. Its eyes were fixed on Bai Tingting, and with each step it took, the air in the corridor grew colder.
"Whose dog is this anyway? Why isn't it on a leash?"
Bai Tingting's scream got stuck in her throat, turning into an irregular gasp.
The gray-black giant dog blocked the staircase entrance, pressing closer step by step. It didn't bark, but the low, continuous growl from its throat was more hair-raising than any roar. Its ghostly green eyes, like two clusters of ghostly flames, locked onto her.
The elderly officer beside her was already weak-kneed with fear, supporting himself against the wall to avoid collapsing onto the ground.
"This... this dog..." Bai Tingting stammered in a trembling voice.
