But today, whether it was due to some unusual state of her body, she found her heart unexpectedly stirred.
Her gaze couldn't tear away from his face, and for a moment, a strong impulse arose within her.
She wanted to get close to him, to touch him.
Driven by some irresistible force, she lifted her hand and slowly reached toward his cheek.
However, just as her fingertips touched his cheek, reason suddenly returned.
She abruptly woke up, realizing what she had done, and was instantly struck by the sensation of being electrocuted.
Her head immediately lowered, and the tips of her ears burned red with heat.
"I-I'll go wash my face first."
Isaac Vaughn stood in place, observing her flustered withdrawal, and let out a soft laugh.
"If you want to touch, then touch. I won't chase you away. There's no need to dodge around."
He handed a basin to her, with a layer of mint leaves floating on top of the water.
"I put in some mint; it'll feel refreshing when you wash."
