POV: Aarav
I've seen broken realities.I've seen collapsing ones.I've even seen Nivaan wake up from a nap — which honestly felt like the end of days.
But nothing — nothing — looks like this.
The Nexus is…everything. And nothing. And the UI of a cosmic software update gone rogue.
Floating islands made of memories.Skyscrapers stitched from code.Rivers flowing sideways.Stars paused mid-explosion.Timelines coiled like serpents around a central void.
It's chaos. It's creation. It's a group project the universe forgot to finish.
Meher steps forward, eyes wide, voice low:
"This is where realities overlap."
Avni adjusts her glasses, scanning the impossible like it's a solvable equation."Kiyan, whatever you do, don't touch anything."
Kiyan immediately touches something.
A floating cube of light pops like bubble wrap.
Kiyan: "Oops."
Nivaan grabs his wrist like a disappointed elder sibling."We're standing inside the multiverse's root directory. One wrong touch and we soft-delete an entire existence."
Kiyan: "Okay so like… gentle touch?"
Meher pushes past us with a weird mix of awe and determination. She looks… different here.Grounded and glowing at the same time.
"The Entity sent us here for a reason," she says."To prove the alliance is possible."
A line of light shoots upward — like a beacon waiting for us.
Avni squints."Is that a… core node?"
Nivaan nods."The Convergence Pillar. It holds the rules of every connected reality."
I whistle. "So basically, the Terms & Conditions of existence."
"Exactly," Nivaan replies. "Except no one ever reads these, because if you break the terms—"
"—you crash the universe," Avni finishes.
Cool.Awesome.No pressure.
We walk toward the pillar, stepping on platforms that assemble just long enough to hold us before dissolving again.
As we approach, something shifts.
The Nexus reacts.
The ground splits into four paths — each one glowing in a distinct color.
Kiyan touches the red path. It pulses like a heartbeat.
"My world," he whispers. "The war zone."
Avni touches the blue one. It shimmers like a perfectly optimized system grid.
"That's mine."
Nivaan presses his palm to the white-gold path. The air hums."Creation domain."
But the fourth path…The one glowing soft, warm gold…
That one opens on its own.
Meher steps toward it.Her breath catches.A faint smile curves her lips.
"It's… my world," she whispers."Not the one I came from. Not the one I lost.""It's the world I choose."
Nivaan turns to her, voice steady."This Nexus wants you to lead the merge."
Kiyan raises a brow. "CEO vibes, let's go."
Meher steps onto her path — and the whole Nexus shudders, like reality just sat up straighter.
The pillar flares.
Runes spread across its surface, forming a message:
"ALIGN OR ANNIHILATE."
Aarav: "…bro what?"
Avni: "We need to stabilize the four paths. Bring them into harmony."
Kiyan: "And if we fail?"
Nivaan: "Pick your favorite world. It'll be the last one left."
Silence.
Meher inhales sharply. And something in her shifts — not power, not fear, but authority. The kind you can't steal or program or rewrite.
She looks at all of us.
"We're doing this," she says."All of us. Together.""No reality gets left behind."
Nivaan steps beside her.
Kiyan cracks his knuckles.
Avni adjusts her glasses like she's about to fight a god with math.
I grin."Well then. Let's rewrite fate."
The Nexus roars — a sound like a thousand worlds inhaling.
And beneath our feet, the paths begin to move, twisting toward the pillar.
The merge begins.
