The next morning.
Ho Fei-yu checked his phone: 7:30 AM. He looked at Mitsuko, who was still sleeping beside him with a flushed face. He gave a wry smile. They had been too indulgent last night—twice in the tub, and then a marathon in bed until 2:00 AM. Once Mitsuko entered her "lustful state," she was more terrifying than a succubus. If not for his system-enhanced body, he'd be a husk within a week.
He got up quietly, washed, and met Yūshin Aonoi.
"Fei-yu-kun, you look exhausted. Did you not sleep well?" Yūshin asked as they walked.
"Ha... something like that," he deflected. He couldn't exactly tell her he had been drained dry.
"I'm glad it stopped raining," Yūshin chirped. "The last period today is PE! I even brought my gym clothes. Didn't you check the schedule?"
Ho Fei-yu looked awkward. "I'll just make up an excuse."
They met Hana Amano at the usual spot. Yūshin ran over to her immediately. Is she my girlfriend or yours? Ho Fei-yu joked internally, but he felt a sense of warmth watching them.
In a different classroom, Akane Nanao was staring into space.
"Akane Nanao! What are you doing?!" her teacher shouted. Akane jumped, accidentally knocking her books off her desk.
"I'm sorry, Miyazaki-sensei!" she apologized. The teacher let her off with a warning, noting she had been distracted lately.
Akane was distressed. The sleazy Coach Togou had been discharged from the hospital and was already lurking around her classroom with a creepy smile. Furthermore, her idol, Shoya Katase, had sent her over twenty messages asking her to meet in the sports equipment warehouse to "clear up the misunderstanding" with the coach.
She knew it was a trap. She felt alone and helpless.
"Sigh."
"Amano-san, thanks for the heads-up," Akane said, turning to the girl behind her who had nudged her.
"Akane, you seem troubled. Do you need help?" Hana Amano asked kindly.
Akane shook her head. Two girls couldn't stand up to a man like Togou. "Thanks, but it's okay."
"Well, if you have trouble, tell me," Hana said with a bright smile, her eyes sparkling. "I might not be strong, but my boyfriend is super, super strong!~"
"Boyfriend? Congratulations, Amano-san," Akane said, watching the stars in Hana's eyes.
