Chapter 2 - page 2

"My friend, are you not afraid of the end that will happen?" - I asked.

"This is not about fear, but about accepting the fate that we cannot reject the 'end' itself" - said my friend.

"But." I added "isn't it natural for humans to be afraid of this certain end?" - I asked again.

"Yes. It is natural for humans to be afraid of the certain end. But you have to remember, fear will only bring despair. So it is better for us not to be afraid, and only live meaningfully, this is not a meaningful life, but subtly you have rejected despair in a situation where you cannot reject the certain fate." - my friend answered my question.

Hand holding wood directed to the campfire, there is 1 tent by the campfire.

"Is it okay for us to relax here? While we know that the end of the world and everything will happen?" - I said.

My friend calmly replied "it's better this way, than giving up hope and ending up committing suicide. Suicide means there is no meaning in life, so it's better for us to relax here. Because by chatting and relaxing our lives have meaning, our conversations have meaning, friendships have meaning, even our lives have meaning".

"I'm still stunned by your relaxed attitude and accepting destiny just like that, will you accept all the destiny that is set for you?" - I said.

"Not necessarily like that, I do accept this destiny, but I don't completely like it. I accept it, because I understand, if a god and a great magician can lose to this entity called 'us', what about us who are just ordinary humans.

So with that thought, I finally decided to accept this destiny even though I don't want to." - my friend replied.

My friend added, "Look. The birds that fly at night, they are free, day and night they are free and can fly anywhere. So we are also free to choose how to live in this short time, either despair, or not despair, but not against fate.
