As Chase awoke, he was greeted by a masked face, but the person behind it was obvious. Andrew was tapping his head, spewing nonsense. "You would think he died in his sleep if he wasn't drooling"
With that knowledge Chase jolted up, quickly wiping his mouth. "You never saw that"
"They did" Andrew said, stepping to the side.
"someone had to be the water boy of the group" Chase heard from the crowd.
half of the people who were supposed to be fixing the wall were more focused on him not looking cool while resting. 'Anything to distract them from their job' Chase said in his mind.
Night had fallen, and thankfully it wasn't all that dark, moonlight illuminated the area.
the few torches they had were enough.
Now that chase was awake and not looking like a dummy, the men were back to working on the gate albeit wearily. They seemed to always be looking over their shoulders.
Chase was with Andrew and they were on the outside of the gate willing to take the problem out before it became just that. "Why did you ask me to come out here anyway?" Andrew asked.
"Well Mr Thomas, it was because I would like to see what new magic you have in store" Chase said in a fake posh accent, causing Andrew's eyelids to drop a little. He remembered the trick Andrew was doing, and wanted to see if it was what he thought it was.
inside the gate, Donnie was looking around.
'Should I go up top, get a better view?' Suddenly he felt something. Looking to his left, he tapped Damian on the shoulder.
"Get the axes, leave the flames off"
outside the gate, Chase and Andrew saw a bunch of red beady eyes, but this time, Chase held nothing close to fear, not even mild panic. "Come on ya lime colored low-lives"
Andrew chuckled. That was one good thing about being in the medieval times.
Not only was he basically Shakespeare, but his quotes that were extremely outdated for his time were early and easily digestible things for the group to add to their lingo.
Just then a tiny hunchback figure appeared ,Wearing nothing but tattered rags to cover up what was between its legs.
It was unholy with it's ugliness, and one could only think about the smell, but not too long.
Skinny limbs but a big head, skinny chest but a fat stomach.
Chase was disgusted. Scrunching his face in anger, he was getting mad that this thing even dared to register in his eyeballs. "What stage of evolution could have created this?"
Andrew looked as though it was taking visible effort not to vomit "ewww"
It let out a nasty screech. More appeared behind it in droves as they charged him.
Chase smiled before charging, his body almost seemed to disappear. before the first goblin warrior realized it, he was slain, a backhand from Chase destroyed his head entirely.
he continued running into the enemy forces.
his speed was hard to get used to, mana was even harder. Infusing mana into his fist, he punched a goblin over the treeline. Another swing created a decently sized crater wherever a goblin used to be.
Chase now had a suit covered in goblin blood, but he cared slightly less because of how cool he looked with his already powerful body boosted by mana, he had truly gotten stronger. "IM FUCKING INVINCIBLE"
Whoever cursed him with this shitty body at the start is rolling in their grave now, not only did Chase have a near perfect body, he also had a spirit weapon. It sounded important he'd take it.
"Man these guys are easy, Chase said, mowing down goblins with his bare hands.
at that moment, the blood coating his suit began to peel off, floating backwards.
Turning around, Chase noticed that blood from the bodies of the goblins was going upwards into a decently sized ball that rested just above Andrew's back.
"Blood mage" Chase said, smiling.
"Impressed?" Andrew asked. Chase nodded "I did guess it though."
Andrew shook his head, a smile forming on his face. "Let's get serious"
