This death squad comprising of twenty one mindless assassins became infamous all through out the four realms for their escapades. No one knew where or who they originated from, they only knew that almost every single powerful immortal in the four realms had been assassinated by them. All of these powerful immortals assassinated had in one way or the other opposed the empyrean's authority so he sent the death squad after them.
In other not to draw suspicion to himself, he ordered the death squad to attack a few important gods in the god realm and of course, himself also, knowing that they wouldn't be able to kill him because he was far stronger than them. When the news of an attempt by the infamous death squad to take the empyrean's life and that of other gods spread, all forms of suspicion and doubt were withdrawn from him at once. It was like killing two birds with one stone. At one end, he averted suspicion from himself and at the other end, he had subtly let everyone know of his immense power considering his survival from the death squad.
This squad was the secret key of the empyrean and he decided to use it to wipe out the devil realm. If he used soldiers openly to wipe out the devil realm, it'd be considered felony because only the eternal creator had the right to wipe out a race and he has been long gone so he decided to use the infamous death squad, it was his plan all along, wiping off potential opponents at the same time cutting off all links to him.
He thought that if the devil realm was wiped out completely he'd have no opposition but little did he know what was in store for him and his part in fanning the flames of the great chaos.
Yen shui knew who was behind the death squad and had since calculated that the only way for the empyrean to wipe them off without staining his reputation was the death squad and he had to fault them to do that.
News from the border arrived, the death squad had broken through the five defense systems in place and had started attacking the people in the abyss. The whole abyss was in turmoil as everyone ran to the chief's residence for an explanation.
The young boy was with yen shui and the two elders. He heard the commotion outside but they wouldn't allow him leave. Instead, they knelt him there on the ground and began to perform magic spells around him with blue, golden and grey smoky energy emanating from their hands towards the sky. All of a sudden, the sky began to erupt and thunder with madness.
It was so fierce that it moved from the sky down to the very abyss. Yen shui and the two elders were harnessing the power of the sky tapping from the power of the sky immortals to release the forbidden book. That move caused the galactic stars to shift and the balance of time and destiny shifted also. The Empyrean and the rest of the four realms could see this phenomenon as the sky directly above the entire devil realm turned brown brimming with thunder and wind.
They got the book, and performed the spell opening up his core and then gave the book to the young boy so he could escape from the abyss and master the rest of the cultivation secrets in the book but it was already too late, the death squad had reached them.
The 21 of them with blood stained swords and armour, advanced fearlessly towards the young boy and the three elders.
Before yen shui could even make a move, the 21 of them slashed the air in front of them at the same time sending a wave of energy to where the elders and young boy was, slashing their bodies mercilessly as though an actual sword had cut through them.
No one could move after that slash as blood oozed out everywhere. The two elders couldn't survive that slash and died instantly but yen shui was still alive with the young boy on the ground beside him, the slash also got to him.
Yen shui knew that if he didn't do something, their only hope of revenge would die.
Like a chess game, he had planned every move for the past twenty years. He found it worth it to sacrifice the devil realm for this boy to rise. Unfortunately, the empyrean was an even more careful planner and so yenshui had to use his last move to save the young boy lying on the ground beside him with deep cuts in his body from the slash.
Yen shui used the blood enchantment, a dark spell used by lucifer to sacrifice one's life for another and with a stab to his heart, yenshui took his own life right before the young boy and the 21 assassins. The young boy was confused, he didn't know what was going on. He didn't know why yen shui began to train him in spells directly violating the ban set on them by the god realm, he didn't know why yen shui sacrificed the entire devil realm, even his own life just to save him.
He didn't know what was going on but one thing was certain and that was the fact that the blood of his clan was put on his neck like a yoke to bear and he was involuntarily set on a path of revenge.
He felt anger, pure resentment towards everything as he lay on the floor seeing yen shui stab himself, seeing his parent's head severed, seeing his childhood friends killed for no reason, knowing that all their lives, they had lived under the fear of the god realm, under the mockery of the four realms. His sister was sold as a slave to the sky immortals, her virginity taken by soldiers of the sky realm who call themselves immortals and angels.
At that moment when yen shui fell on his back from the stab he gave himself, he saw the spark in the young boy's eyes, the anger, the bitterness, the resentment. He knew he had him where he wanted him to be, in a phase of madness, of pure rage. He used the blood from his heart flowing to grow a barrier shielding the young boy who just stayed on the ground unable to move from the shock, his eyes watering with tears.
