Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven In the club

Diane's POV"I won't say anything to him. I'm just going to eat in his office, and after that, we don't have much time to be in the office, so he won't have a lot of time to frustrate me, that I can tell, and he is no different from how he was back in high school, always so bossy and mean. The waitress brought her back to reality, and she had to pay. Umm, how much for everything? "$100, ma'am. "Okay, I'll be paying with my credit card, so just put everything together. "OK, ma'am." While heading to Xavier's office, Diane couldn't help but feel somewhat offended. "Why is he frustrating me? He would stop at nothing but to make me quit, but I won't let his dream happen. She was lost in thought until she entered his office. He raised his head and stared at her, and she was so cut up with herself that she didn't notice his stare. Xavier's POV What is she thinking? She looks so off. What is wrong with her? "Or did someone say something mean to her?" "Hey, are you okay?" Diane turned and looked at him, regaining her composure. "Yeah, I'm fine." She knew he was just asking so he could torment her more, but he won't be having that much fun with her. (Two hours later) Diane's POV"Finally I get to go home and spend a wonderful evening without this pain in the ass, or at least have a wonderful evening in the club to wash away his bad energy on me." Picks up her phone and calls Daisy. Someone picks up at the other end of the line. "Hello, baby girl, have you closed already?" "Hello, Daisy. Yeah, I'm waiting for my ride. I'll soon be home, okay? And please, could you make me some meatballs and pasta? I would really appreciate that." "Okay, bestie, I'll do anything for you. Bye, see you soon." Xavier's POV"So she doesn't even have a car, and she acts like she has everything. Maybe that was her boyfriend she was on the phone with. I love to see her looking like this, looking so frustrated and lost. I can't wait to execute my plan, and by then she'll have nothing to brag about." With that said, Xavier drove off, heading straight to his penthouse. Not long after he left, Diane's ride came to pick her up, and she too left for home. On arriving home, she could smell the homemade meal Daisy prepared for her. Diane's POV "Daisy "I'm home; where are you? Come out here." Hearing that, Daisy came out and walked up to Diane. "Oh, you're finally back, my sweet pokey. I made you your favourite lasagna just the way you like it, so just go freshen up and come downstairs and have your dinner, and then we'll prepare for the club, okay? Now go freshen up. Diane's POV"Umm, Daisy, do we really have to go? I'm kind of exhausted; can't we go tomorrow?" Daisy turned to look at Diane with a pleading face. "Please, Diane, you promised me even if it's just for an hour. I promise I'll be good. Please, please, please." Okay, fine, but we won't be staying long, okay? Please just set the dinner for me, okay? An hour later, Diane's POV"Daisy, isn't this gown too short for me? I'm barely comfortable in it, and the makeup makes it look like I'm caking up my face. Are you sure about this makeup? Am I not looking too much, beside the fact that no one will even be looking at me? Please, I want to wear something more comfortable." Daisy's POV "Diane, what is wrong with you? This is absolutely okay, so you don't need to feel too much, and this gown is trending, so please just wear it for me, okay? Please, just put on the red heels, and let's start going. Diane's POVWhy can't I say anything when Daisy speaks? she thought to herself. She turned to Daisy. "Are you booking a ride, or should I? Daisy's POV"Yeah, sure, I'll book a ride; don't worry, save your money for the drinks." "Daisy, don't get wasted, please, because I can't carry you, so you have to promise me not to get wasted tonight." Come on, Diane, stop acting like an old woman who lost her favourite pet." Just order the ride; I'm getting tired already. You wouldn't want me to lie on that sexy bed that is looking at me, so be fast. OK, just hold on a minute. Fifteen minutes later, Diane's POVWow, I almost forgot what a club looks like. It's been two years since I've been to a club, and now it feels so new, like it's my first time here. Anyway, let me let myself feel the beat and not think. When Diane turned to ask Daisy what she would like to drink, Daisy was already dancing on the dance floor with a stranger, which made Diane feel like she was not social enough because the way Daisy blended with everyone sometimes made her wish she was Daisy. So she went back to the bar and ordered a glass of cocktail and was sipping it while scrolling through her phone, but when she lifted her eyes to check up on Daisy, her eyes caught a familiar eye, but she brushed it off, feeling as if it was just someone else. Then she turned back to her phone and continued scrolling, forgetting the reason why she came to the club in the first place. Xavier's POVI saw her, but what is she doing here in this kind of place? She's too different for this kind of place. As he was thinking to himself, the girls touching him were giggling about something, so he followed their eyes and saw Diane slapping a drunk man and asking him to back off. Instantly he felt proud that she respected herself even in places like this where everyone let their bodies loose, but she's so composed, and she's not even dancing. Did she come alone, or is she here to drink to her fill? This was the question that was going through Xavier's head without him realising it. Next thing he knew, he was asking the bitches around him to leave, and they all looked stunned because he never asked them to leave before, so why now? And he never leaves this early, or are we not doing our work well? Unknown person POVTurns to one other girl by her side. "Do I smell, or has my makeup caked? Is what I'm wearing bad?" No, you look alright, and you don't smell. "Then why will Master Xavier behave this way? Is he not comfortable with us today? "Hey, look who that hot damsel is he's been looking at all this time? You don't think it's because of her that he asked us to leave? "No, I don't think so; you know he won't stoop so low for a boring person. "Yeah, I thought so too. Maybe he's not in the mood today. Let's go find someone else." Yeah, let's go.
