Diane could not comprehend what she was being told. If anything, shouldn't a healing power or whatever make her stronger and powerful? Attracting lost ghosts shouldn't be part of the deal.
If only she could remember the events of the original novel, it would have made her life in this world easier, Diane thought.
She had realised that the memory of her world gets sketchy sometimes, but the most sketchy was the details of the novel. A book she had only the last chapter left to read.
