Chapter 96 - Together

"Oh my, what a beautiful girl. Mei, you actually know such a cute girl and didn't even introduce her to me. Aren't we best friends?"

When Elysia saw little Kiana standing at the doorway, her eyes lit up. Raiden Mei pushed away Elysia, who was leaning far too close to her.

"Every pretty girl you meet, you say she's your best friend."

Raiden Mei rolled her eyes helplessly. This classmate named Elysia was a well-known social butterfly at Chiba Academy and was on very good terms with many girls.

On the very first day she enrolled at Chiba Academy, she had already been latched onto by Elysia.

"I'm serious about all of you, Mei. You're all my best friends."

"Then you have way too many best friends," Raiden Mei complained.

"Mei, she is..."

Listening to their conversation, little Kiana couldn't help but interrupt. She felt like an outsider. Clearly, she was the one who knew Mei first. She was supposed to be Mei's best friend.

"Hi~ let me introduce myself. I'm Elysia, you can also just call me Ely. Are you Mei's friend?"

Elysia warmly stretched out her arms and walked over, wanting to give little Kiana an affectionate hug. Little Kiana hurriedly stepped back, dodging Elysia's embrace.

"Mei, this cute and beautiful girl is very wary of me! Did I do something wrong?"

Elysia looked surprised as she turned to Raiden Mei and asked.

"Sigh, you can't just start touching people like that!"

"Kiana, Elysia isn't a bad person."

Raiden Mei explained. Kiana glanced at Elysia, then looked back at Raiden Mei.

"Kiana, Kiana Kaslana. Such a familiar yet unfamiliar name."

Elysia chuckled softly. Her gaze fell on little Kiana, and a trace of surprise flashed through her eyes as a thoughtful expression appeared on her pretty face.

The first time she saw little Kiana, she felt that this face resembled someone.

An isomer?!

"You know me?" little Kiana asked, puzzled.

"I didn't before, but now I do. I think we'll get along very happily~" Elysia said with a smile.

Little Kiana looked at Elysia and felt that something about her was strange, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what.

Little Kiana's gaze landed on the pointed ears peeking out from Elysia's pink hair.

"Elysia is a high elf from the magic world. She's a classmate of mine," Raiden Mei explained.

"Mei, are we just classmates? Saying that really hurts my feelings~!"

Elysia blinked, putting on a pitiful expression.

"A friend I met at Chiba Academy," Raiden Mei helplessly added.

"..."

Little Kiana suddenly felt as if her best friend was being stolen away.

"Oh my, Mei, your friend looks like she needs some comforting~!" Elysia moved closer to little Kiana and gently patted her head. "Don't worry, Mei won't distance herself from you, because both Mei and I will become your best friends, right, Mei?"

"Mm." Raiden Mei nodded.

"Let's have a hug between good friends."

Elysia hugged little Kiana.

Looking at the smiling Elysia right in front of her, little Kiana felt that this girl was a bit too enthusiastic!

Elysia clung tightly to little Kiana.

Watching their interaction, Raiden Mei recalled their first meeting, when this pink elf had latched onto her in the exact same way.

With Elysia around, the three chatted quite harmoniously and quickly became familiar with one another.

Little Kiana's impression of Elysia was fairly good, after all, she was a very beautiful girl.

In the afternoon, Raiden Ryoma returned home from work.

With ME Corp gone, and the family assets lost, everything had to start over again.

Although Chiba Academy provided Raiden Mei with something like scholarship points, as a grown man, using his daughter's scholarship was truly embarrassing. He decided to earn money himself.

Points were different from the points used by ordinary people outside. Points could be exchanged for regular points, but regular points could not be exchanged for points.

Raiden Ryoma noticed that his daughter's bedroom door was open. He walked over and looked inside, seeing the three little ones playing together.

That pink-haired elf girl had been mentioned by Mei before.

Her name seemed to be Elysia.

"Dad, you're back," Mei said.

"Hello, Uncle. My name is Elysia. I'm Mei's friend," Elysia said with a slight smile as she greeted him politely.

"Hello." Raiden Ryoma nodded with a smile. "I won't disturb you." He then turned and left.

He was uneasy about his daughter studying at Chiba Academy.

He was afraid that Mei might encounter danger.

But after observing things for some time, the people of Anti-Entropy discovered that although the NPCs under the otherworldly Sirin were quick to resort to violence against adults like them, they showed special care toward children, especially pitiful little orphan girls.

This was enough to show that the otherworldly Sirin possessed kindness.

In the current situation, if the otherworldly Sirin truly wanted to do something to them, they would be unable to resist anyway.

Just like Cocolia, who had taken away all the children she had adopted in the orphanage.

Chiba Academy.

Faculty Office.

Tesla, Einstein, Amber, and Natasha were organizing the materials in their hands.

Most of it consisted of basic information about different worlds.

Einstein was reading the data displayed on the light screen panel before her.

In quite a few worlds, humanity had played itself into extinction.

Without Honkai, humanity's greatest enemy was humanity itself.

Anti-Entropy's Silver Bullet was equivalent to nuclear bombs in other worlds. As for Schicksal's Honkai Fission Bombs, those were a specialty unique to the Honkai world.

"Chicken-head, there are fewer and fewer students coming to listen to my lectures. How about your side?" Tesla asked.

The students here focused more on improving their own strength. Much of the knowledge she taught was useless to many of them.

"Same. I only have about a dozen left," Einstein replied calmly. The students of Academy City studied a wide range of subjects, and because each person's reality distortion field was different, their abilities also differed.

They were newcomers and did not understand reality distortion fields as well as the students themselves. They could only provide simple advice on ability usage and development.

After that, everything was deduced and completed through the Astral Quantum Computer.

The dozen or so students who stayed were all there because of the name Einstein.

In other worlds, she was an extremely famous scientist.

Only, the Einstein of those other worlds was an old man.

At the same time, Einstein discovered that many important figures, including her former friends, were male in other worlds.

Assuming that other worlds being male was the norm, then her own world being entirely female might be due to the influence of Honkai.

Combined with the world projection theory she had encountered, Einstein formed a hypothesis.

"Chicken-head, what are you thinking about?" Tesla asked.

"Nothing."

Einstein shook her head and stopped pursuing the thought further.

Knowing too much would only make everything feel meaningless.

"She wants us to arrange world examinations. Do you have any ideas?" Tesla asked.

Tesla checked the previous examinations of Academy City. From interstellar wars spanning the universe down to altering a planet with human civilization, they were basically inseparable from destruction and slaughter.

They truly treated other worlds as testing grounds.
