She died...was transported?...while reading the Chitra webcomic and crossing the road at the same time.

She woke in a white space before a tap on her shoulder had her jumping in place and turning.
A chimera stood before her, a wild combination of every animal that could come to mind.
Then it opened its mouths and spoke, "Welcome my Hero."
She'd never been anyone's hero, not even to herself.
"Your life has ended on Earth. You will begin a new one on the Beastworld." Sharp toothed mouths grinned, "They have sorely forgotten the gifts I gave them when I placed them on the planet. You will remind them. Good luck!"
"Wait!" She tried to step forward only to drop through a hole that opened up below her.
She woke on an itchy pile of furs. She shifted around feeling weak as she did so.
She lifted herself up finding it strange how easier it was than she was used to. Her body didn't feel as heavy. She glanced down and gasped at the willowy body below. A thin waist, pale unblemished skin, breasts that were perky and full that didn't drape low, long arms and legs.
What happened?
A screen popped in front of her.

A small cry and then whimper came from her as an onslaught of information overcame her.
Memories flooded her mind of her new identity: Harva, the weak leopard beastwoman.
There was no going back, she was dead and this was her new life.
