Chapter 71 - When All Seems Lost, the Yellow Flash Moves

The blow landed like thunder.

Six Paths Obito plummeted from the sky, smashed into the earth, and the plain heaved—hurricane winds knifing across the battlefield.

Obito rose from the crater, jaw tight, divinity fraying at the edges. A Ten-Tails Jinchūriki… injured by "ants."

[Sarada: "Yes! We finally hurt him!"]

[Boruto: "Didn't think dumb Dad could look this cool!"]

[Adult Naruto: "Watch your mouth, kid."]

[Sarada: "Boruto, show the Seventh some respect."]

As dust thinned, Obito's face darkened. So there was a seam—senjutsu. Worse: after taking in the Ten-Tails, his Kamui phasing was gone.

[Shinki: "Is that… a secret nerf?"]

[Hagoromo: "Stats up, mechanics down. Call it karmic patch notes."]

[Hashirama: "If Six Paths Obito still had intangibility, even I'd have no idea how to fight him…"]

[Tobirama: "Then we'd truly be doomed."]

Obito spread his hands. "Time to start dreaming."

A mountain-thick root ripped out of the ground, crowned by four giant morning-glories yawning at the sky. He soared upward, fingers scribing a burning cross.

A scarlet barrier erupted, walling in the horizon.

"Six Crimson Ray Formation."

An iron-red sky slammed shut. Every Allied ninja stood trapped beneath it.

At the flower mouths, four Tailed Beast Bombs began to spool—each a small moon, pulsing toward critical mass.

[Tobirama: "Tactically brutal—and effective."]

[Hashirama: "We're all penned in. How do we get out?"]

[Sasuke: "Simple. I open Susanoo."]

[Itachi: "My foolish little brother—four bombs of that output will melt right through it."]

Obito folded himself behind a halo of Truth-Seeking Orbs, voice cold.

"Look at your father, Naruto. Failed to protect his family, failed his men. You remember what tomorrow is, don't you?"

"The memorial day of Minato and Kushina. The day your parents died. I'll say it a last time: this world is finished."

Minato's eyes shuttered; Naruto's teeth clicked.

"Tomorrow is also my birthday," Naruto snapped. "As long as I'm alive, nothing is over."

[Tobirama: "Fourth, what's your max on teleporting Tailed Beast Bombs?"]

[Minato: "…Two, at most."]

[Himawari: "Grandpa's already amazing!"]

[Kushina: "She looks just like Minato—so cute!"]

[Adult Naruto: "…"]

Minato's gaze softened. His kid had grown up.

Obito, cocooned in black orbs, couldn't see the quiet fist bump that followed—father and son touching knuckles as chakra braided between them.

The alliance stared up at the swelling stars of annihilation. No doors. No exits. Hope, thinning.

Then—red chakra bloomed across the ranks like dawn on wet stone.

[Hashirama: "Blanketing the entire Alliance… Naruto's chakra might exceed mine."]

[Tobirama: "Think why he's doing it."]

[Itachi: "Ah. He's linked to Minato."]

[Sasuke: "Meaning if Minato blinks with Naruto, he blinks with everyone Naruto's linked to."]

[Kakashi: "Heaven leaves a seam in every snare."]

[Deidara: "Let it explode!!"]

[Sasori: "…Clown."]

[Pain: "Quiet. Kakuzu's still in rehab."]

High above, the four bombs ignited.

The barrier went white. The ground ruptured, magma geysered kilometers high, a world-sized wound vomiting flame and stone. Even the onlookers flinched, cursing Obito's pettiness—wrapped like a mummy back then and expected Minato to recognize him on sight?

Smoke thinned. Obito stepped from his orbs, surveying the wasteland with glacial contempt—

—and froze.

Beyond the cratered hellscape, the Allied Forces stood… outside the barrier.

Minato hunched over, lungs scraping air. Music swelled. Tobirama's eyes actually warmed.

"Minato… that's the second time you've saved the Alliance."

[Tobirama: "Not bad. The father and son aren't idiots after all."]

[Adult Naruto: "OI! Who are you calling an idiot, Second Grandpa?!"]

[Minato: "Ahaha…"]

Obito's stare whitened with fury. His four-bomb gambit had scorched the earth—and hit no one.

He lifted his staff. Across from him, Naruto and Sasuke stepped forward in tandem, chakra humming; Minato straightened, kunai spinning between scarred fingers.

The sky held its breath.
