Chapter 133 - Yami's Lessons 101

Dark Magic: Dark Cloaked Avidya Slash!

In that fleeting moment of Patolli's heart-shaking mental shock, that split second of frozen movement, Yami seized this fleeting opportunity.

His magic power poured into the katana in his hand, and the ink-black Dark Magic instantly enveloped the entire blade. This pure and condensed slash, carrying the force to seemingly devour all light, was swung forth.

Screech!

The air was torn, emitting an ear-piercing shriek.

Countless light swords blocking the path of the blade shattered and annihilated like fragile glass upon contact with the Dark Magic.

That pitch-black streak of power, unstoppable, crossed dozens of meters in an instant, heading straight for Patolli's face.

As a dangerous shadow enveloped him, Patolli suddenly snapped back to his senses, his pupils reflecting the rapidly enlarging, pitch-black slash.

Danger!

Extreme danger!

His body reacted instinctively, and Spatial Magic instantly activated, attempting to pull his body away.

However, Yami's slash was already upon him. Even with the speed of light, he found it difficult to completely evade.

Puff!

Patolli could only barely turn his head, narrowly avoiding the fate of being decapitated. But the overwhelmingly potent Dark Magic still left a wound on the side of his face.

The Dark Magic power, like maggots clinging to bone, continuously corroded the wound, preventing it from healing and bringing waves of searing pain.

The remaining force of the slash, undiminished, slammed into the distant mountain wall, leaving a massive gash.

For a moment, the battlefield once again fell into an eerie silence.

Yami slowly sheathed his katana, its tip angled towards the ground, the Dark Magic power still coiling around the blade, his gaze cold as he watched his opponent.

Patolli reached out and lightly touched the wound on his cheek. What he felt at his fingertips was a damp sensation and the repulsive aura of Dark Magic.

He opened his grimoire.

Light Healing Magic: Healing Ray of Light!

Soft golden specks of light drifted from the pages of the grimoire, gathering like living fireflies at his wound.

Under the purification of Light Magic, the persistent Dark Magic was quickly dispelled, and the wound healed rapidly at a visible rate, becoming as smooth as new in an instant, as if it had never been injured.

However, Patolli did not immediately launch another attack.

His sharp eyes looked past Yami, locking onto Ryoma behind him. His gaze was no longer the calm and indifferent one from before, but filled with scrutiny, confusion, and a hint of undetectable killing intent.

"Who exactly are you?"

Patolli's voice remained flat, but the pressure it contained seemed to solidify the air.

"And what do you know?"

He couldn't understand.

Through the resonance and communication with William's soul, he had virtually shared all of the other's memories.

In his understanding, Ryoma was just an ordinary young man from the outer world, who, because of his powerful Ice Magic, had joined the Black Bulls.

More importantly, he could clearly sense that there was no elf soul residing within Ryoma.

He was a pure human.

How could an ordinary human possibly know about elves, who had long been buried by history, and were barely mentioned even in ancient texts?

This was illogical!

This young man was a variable outside of his plan.

"Hey! Kid, what are you doing?" Yami also turned his head, looking at Ryoma with some curiosity.

Just one sentence from this kid had elicited such a strong reaction from the opponent.

"..."

Ryoma felt like his head was splitting at this moment.

It's over.

His mouth was faster than his brain. Now he was the focus of attention.

He had just been listening to Patolli's fable, full of sadness and hatred, and connecting it to the scenes he had seen through his grimoire, he had lost control of his emotions for a moment and couldn't help but blurt out those words.

Who would have thought that the BOSS's ears were so sharp, that he could hear it even amidst such an intense battle?

Now it's good, the aggro value is directly maxed out.

Looking at Patolli's gaze, which seemed to want to see through him from the inside out, Ryoma felt uncomfortable.

Seeing Ryoma remain silent, Patolli's gaze grew even colder.

He stopped asking questions.

If he couldn't get answers by asking, then he would capture him first and interrogate him slowly.

Buzz!

He raised his hand, and the grimoire in front of him, glowing with the radiance of a four-leaf clover, burst into a brilliant light.

More dense and dazzling light swords than ever before reappeared, their numbers almost obscuring the entire cave.

"Go."

He gently waved his hand.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Countless light swords, without the slightest hesitation, changed direction, bypassed Yami in front, and shot towards Ryoma in the back like a golden, deadly meteor shower, covering the sky and earth.

This time the target was no longer Yami, but Ryoma.

"Hey!"

Yami clicked his tongue, appearing somewhat impatient.

"Attacking my squad member right in front of me, aren't you underestimating me a bit too much?"

He moved instantly, blocking Ryoma and Asta.

The katana in his hand was swung once more.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

Yami didn't even use a specific magic spell. He simply wrapped Dark Magic around his blade, and with astonishing speed and exquisite swordsmanship, he wove an impenetrable, pitch-black net of blades in front of him.

Those light swords, capable of easily piercing steel, struck this blade net as if hitting an indestructible reef, being entirely deflected and shattered.

For a moment, golden light fragments and Dark Magic power intertwined and splashed, forming a dazzling yet deadly tableau.

While gracefully parrying all attacks, Yami still had the leisure to turn his head and speak to the stunned Asta beside him, "Kid, look closely."

"This guy is very fast, so fast that it's hard for both eyesight and magic perception to keep up."

"But as long as it's a living thing, before attacking, the body's movements and the flow of magic power will emit energy and information."

"This energy and information is 'Ki'."

Yami's voice was steady and clear, lacking the urgency of being in a fierce battle.

"As long as you can read the opponent's 'Ki', you can predict their next move. I've also incorporated magic and physical strength into the combat."

Asta listened, dumbfounded, his eyes wide like brass bells.

During a battle... can you really give on-the-spot lessons?

Captain is too strong!

"That guy..."

Valtos, the Spatial Magic user in the distance, looked at this scene, his face filled with dissatisfaction and anger.

"During a battle with Licht-sama, he actually has the leisure to talk."

"He's looking down on us too much."

Patolli, however, showed no emotion, maintaining the barrage of light swords.

"A bottomless man..."

"He can even handle attacks of this density and speed."

Valtos saw that his leader seemed to be in a stalemate, and being fiercely loyal, he could no longer hold back.

"We can't let Licht-sama struggle in a place like this any longer."

"I've been too meddlesome. I'll take care of this."

He was about to step forward to assist in the battle.

"Thank you, Valtos."

Licht, or rather Patolli, turned his head at this moment and gave him a gentle smile. The smile was as gentle as ever, as if it could purify everything.

"Then, do me a favor."

His gaze turned to Ryoma and Asta, who were protected by Yami.

"Help me capture those two young men."

"It's alright if they get a little hurt."
