Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: If Apologies Worked, What Would We Need the Police For?

Alistair wasn't particularly bothered about club activities, but having come all the way to this anime world, not participating felt awkward, like visiting a tourist spot and skipping a nearby must-see landmark.

So, Alistair decided to wander around the campus. He was primarily interested in clubs related to anime, gaming, or photography. If those weren't available, a music club would be okay too. As a genuine country boy in his past life, being able to play the Suona (a Chinese horn) and the Erhu (a two-stringed fiddle) was normal, right?

As the saying goes, of all instruments, the Suona reigns supreme. A blast from that horn would ensure you departed with great fanfare.

After a quick loop, Alistair realized these clubs were all inside the building, and those with poor promotion seemed unreliable. While he was hesitating, they preemptively struck, handing him an application form. Alistair figured if an activity came up, he could just skip it, so he signed up.

The first was the Film Appreciation Club. Alistair joined after spotting Kazumi Nishida, the big idiot, and followed him over. He hadn't expected them to form a club.

It was more of a fan club than a true club, though. To establish an official club and receive funding and a dedicated space, a minimum of five members was required. With fewer than five, they could only form a fan club, which meant no funding and only a small classroom, but that was enough. Two or three people didn't need much space.

The fan club had only three members: Alistair Vance, Kazumi Nishida, and Kanade Amakawa.

Alistair was very tempted to make a move on Kanade Amakawa, but since he'd been quite busy recently, he held off on the "attack," leaving a good impression to lay the groundwork for future development.

The second was the Anime Club, called the Manga Research Society. Since many of those who joined were considered hikikomori or NEETs (reclusive shut-ins who live off their parents), the club wasn't very popular. Still, a female Senpai was there to introduce the club activities to him.

"Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Rina. Please take care of me from now on."

A Senpai wearing a face mask smiled and introduced herself to Alistair.

She wore her hair in two pigtails. Unlike most who tied pigtails at the back of the head, she secured hers on the sides with pink ribbons. Her front hair resembled a hime-cut, but her bangs were long, nearly covering her eyebrows.

With the mask concealing the lower half of her face, her eyes became the main focus of attention.

Her face was somewhat oval, and her drooping eyes and gentle eyebrows made her look sweet and friendly. Her eyes were clear and bright, and her pink-tinged brown pupils conveyed a sense of cuteness and flirtation. Her eyelashes were longer than usual, instantly making one think she was a cute girl and leading one to wonder how adorable she would look without the mask.

She wore a pink long-sleeved shirt with a black collar band, tied with a black bow-style necktie. Beneath the shirt were full twin peaks—likely similar in size to Chiaki's (the girls he had been with), roughly the size that Alistair's two hands, fully spread, could just barely cup one of them.

Below, she wore a black pleated mini-skirt, cinched with a black waist belt.

Below that were a pair of slender, shapely legs covered in black stockings. The deep blackness contrasted sharply with the whiteness of her thighs, instantly stirring intense desire. Paired with her pure and cute demeanor, the combination created an evident pure-and-seductive style, showcasing the epitome of jun-yoku fashion.

"Hello, my name is Alistair Vance, a first-year student. I also look forward to your guidance."

Alistair responded to the Senpai with the same polite words.

This Senpai was very cute and understood how to dress. She used her outfit to add a flirtatious, tempting style to her naturally pure and innocent demeanor, making Alistair look at her a few times more than necessary. The Senpai didn't mind; she enjoyed the attention, especially since the one looking at her was such a cute-looking junior. Besides, dressing well also boosted her own mood.

"Oh? What is this..."

While being shown the club's book collection by Rina, Alistair unexpectedly spotted a familiar cover. He pulled it out and confirmed it was a book he knew well. He had used these to entertain himself during the holidays when he didn't have any girls around.

Yes, that's right. It was an H-manga, a no-censor masterpiece.

"Ah! That is... that's material we use in collaboration with the Galgame Club next door..."

Rina Senpai quickly reacted to the manga in Alistair's hand and explained it. Seeing Alistair stare at the book, she mistook his recollection for being shocked by the manga's content and teased him playfully: "Hey, Alistair Junior, don't tell me you're still a vir—gin?"

Alistair's reminiscence was interrupted. He turned his head to see that the pink-tinged brown pupils were full of teasing.

"..."

Alistair remained silent, just rolling his eyes. He put the book back on the shelf and continued walking along the bookcase.

Rina Senpai hurried to follow, mumbling a few apologies, but the tone of her words remained entirely teasing and mocking.

"Hey! Hey! Alistair Junior, don't be mad~ Do you want me to find you some more? I can find any type you want~ What do you like? I'll find it for you. Your Senpai, who has been here for over a year, knows this place inside and out! Just give me a category, and I can pull out a stack of books for you—doujinshi, short stories, collected volumes, whatever you want..."

"Are you telling me what to do?"

Annoyed by Rina Senpai's incessant nagging, Alistair dropped the act of the obedient junior. He forcefully grabbed one of Rina Senpai's soft mounds. The sudden attack instantly stunned Rina.

Alistair pulled her closer, his head moving until their noses were nearly touching. He stared into Rina Senpai's eyes and asked word by word:

"Ah... Uh..."

Rina Senpai, whose titty was currently being squeezed, looked at Alistair—who looked so innocent and cute yet was doing something like this—and formed a new impression of him.

"That... Junior, if you keep holding me, I'm going to scream..."

Rina endured the pain and the slight, continuous surge of tingling arousal in her soft flesh. Feeling both shame and anger, she reached out to hit Alistair's arm, but her strength was no match for his. Gritting her teeth, Rina said to Alistair:

"Go ahead, scream. If you call people over, I'll tear off your clothes. Let's see whose reputation suffers more."

Seeing that the Senpai named Rina not only didn't apologize for her irritating behavior but threatened him by screaming, Alistair decided to adopt a more aggressive approach.

"Ah... Uh... This..."

Rina, who had intended to scream and call for help, instantly wilted. Enduring the pain and the faint numbness in her soft flesh, she spoke in a voice laced with shame: "I'm sorry, okay? I was wrong. I shouldn't have called you a virgin, and I shouldn't have offered to find you manga..."

Inhale~ Exhale~

Alistair took a deep breath, disappointed in this person who was cute and charming on the surface but had a rude mouth.

"If apologies worked, what would we need the police or the law for?"

"I haven't committed a crime..." Rina muttered under her breath, pouting.

"You're right. But I feel like you have, so I'll administer justice on behalf of heaven!"
