Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Student Council Rules and the Hypocritical Anna Komiya

"Alright, so what position are you planning to give me?" Alistair asked Anna Komiya.

"Treasurer... how does that sound? It doesn't require much work, and the current Treasurer is a third-year senior. Third-year students are starting to step down, one way or another. They basically need to prepare for their final exams. They already have the student council work experience on their resume, so staying longer doesn't help; it's better to focus on passing exams and getting into a good university."

Anna Komiya noticed a slight look of displeasure on Alistair's face and quickly rushed to explain.

"Honestly, I don't intend to do much. I just want to teach that girl, what's her name, Kyoko... yes, Kyoko Inukai, a lesson. I just need a position that allows me to find fault with her. The Treasurer position doesn't seem right for that, does it?"

Alistair didn't understand the dynamics of the Japanese Student Council; he didn't even understand the one in his original world, let alone this one. He just wanted a temporary position that allowed him to discipline that nosy girl. Or rather, it was just an excuse to casually interact with girls everywhere and, at the same time, use his position as her "superior" to stop Kyoko Inukai from being a bothersome gossip.

Alistair had already slapped Kyoko Inukai once, and she had only bitched briefly, so Alistair didn't care anymore. However, he couldn't have that stiff who only followed surface rules causing trouble later. He wanted to secure a position slightly higher than the Disciplinary Committee—not too high, but still related to discipline, and one that allowed him complete authority over Kyoko Inukai.

This way, Alistair could find fault with her whenever he wanted, and she would have to bear it silently. But that wasn't the main point. The key was that a disciplinary position would allow Alistair to roam freely and interact with girls everywhere under that pretense.

For example, couples making out when the teacher wasn't around: Alistair could instantly tell them he took pictures and could report them. And then? In this H-Manga world, if he had evidence of the girl and authority, did he really need to be taught how things would unfold? What if they wanted to resolve it with force, like Alistair? That would be even better; he could beat the guy half to death with the Ox Talisman, giving him more leverage to force the girl to submit.

The same applied to bullies. Kasumi Haruno's situation was essentially a form of bullying. It was a shame the girls who bullied her weren't attractive, and Alistair couldn't recall their faces, otherwise, he would definitely make them feel his mighty pillar.

However, they were all in the same class. Even if he had forgotten them, Monday was tomorrow. He could ask Kasumi Haruno when he got to school. Although those bullies were the reason he had a chance to immediately claim Kasumi Haruno, they still needed to face consequences.

But whether it was catching couples or dealing with bullies, the prerequisite was attractive girls. If there were none, Alistair wouldn't bother. He wasn't some righteous hero. Alistair didn't wish for the world to become better. This gray world was practically paradise for Alistair, who had power and capital.

"Right, what exactly does the Treasurer do? Calculate the club budgets?"

Alistair knew the Public Sakura Academy's Student Council held significant power. They handled most student-related affairs, with only major, ceremonial events—like a joint school festival or exchange student programs—requiring consultation with the higher administration.

Although teachers also had considerable authority, everyone understood the unwritten rules. Sticking to the principle of avoiding trouble, ordinary teachers wouldn't interfere with what students did outside of class. Only someone like Coach Tōzō would actively use that power, but on the surface, he was doing a good job—the baseball club seemed successful—so no one bothered him previously.

I got sidetracked. Alistair was still unclear about the Student Council's actual responsibilities, so he was confused about being offered the Treasurer position.

"That's part of it, but not all. The Treasurer is also responsible for budget management, expenditure tracking, documentation, file archiving, and so on. Calculating club funds is just one task. However, most of it can be delegated to subordinates, so overall, it's quite relaxed. If you wanted to be conscientious, you could do it yourself, but it would be very tedious."

Speaking about her area of expertise, Anna Komiya became unusually serious, shedding her previous slutty demeanor and appearing much more professional.

"Furthermore, regarding the club activity funds, except for the Kendo, Judo, and Baseball clubs, which participate in competitions, you can help plan the funds for all other clubs, including increasing or decreasing them. If a club has fewer than ten members, you can even cut all their funding. Although it's not much individually, the cumulative amount from many clubs is a very considerable sum of money."

However, within seconds, although Anna Komiya's expression remained serious, her words were incredibly harsh toward the smaller clubs.

"I see. That's quite something. But how does this relate to the Disciplinary Committee, and don't plans need to be approved?" Alistair nodded. While dark, this was very consistent with reality. If you lacked capital, you were bullied. In Japan, this was completely normal.

But no matter how powerful the Treasurer was, Alistair didn't see the connection to the Disciplinary Committee. He was still thinking about breaking up couples and fucking attractive girls, which would allow him to collect the girls' "desire" and also acquire a portion of the boys' "desire," all while enjoying himself—a perfect trifecta.

"The Disciplinary Committee is just considered a club, not a main part of the Student Council. They are just guard dogs. If the school didn't require them, we would have abolished them long ago. Given our school's situation, everyone understands the rules. And they ask for quite a bit of funding. They are less of a Disciplinary Committee and more of a hired target to draw fire. However, parents have high expectations for the school, so we can't eliminate the position. The school needs enrollment." Anna Komiya explained to Alistair.

"And what about the plans? They must be approved before implementation, right? Do you have the connections?" Alistair looked at Anna Komiya and asked.

"The Student Council President doesn't handle this area, so the person who signs off on these documents is far away in the sky, yet close right here~"

As she spoke, Anna Komiya moved closer to Alistair, extended a finger, touched it to his upper chest, and slowly slid it down, stopping right at his waistband, where she gave a gentle poke.

"As for the Disciplinary Committee's objections, the higher-ups won't listen. As long as that department exists, they won't interfere~ So, I've done what you asked. Is there anything you can give me now~"

Pink, heart-shaped marks began to flicker in Anna Komiya's eyes, and her smile became increasingly bright and seductive...
