One figure towered over everyone: Hachishaku, the Eight-Foot-Tall Woman. Her hair was up in a bun, giving her a mature, "wifely" aura.
"So this is Alistair? Sadako-chan waited so long for... this?" A girl with beast ears and furry paws—the Human-Faced Dog—teased.
"In this world, she just looks like a Perro girl," Sadako explained, pulling a fridge out of nowhere to get more vegetables.
Alistair nodded, then realized something: his "Word Soul" curse wasn't triggering.
THUMP!
The room shook as the World tried to "process" Alistair's presence.
"Dammit! What did you do?" Sadako stabilized the pot. "Your 'Word Soul' is linked to the World's source. My domain just got hit by a feedback loop because you 'requested' to speak."
I'm sorry. I can't control it yet, Alistair wrote.
"Power over the World's Will..." A small girl in a Gothic Lolita dress, Mary (from Mary's Phone), sipped tea. "Unlimited potential, if you can tame it."
Alistair looked at the others: Kuchisake-onna (Slit-Mouthed Woman) and Hanako-san.
My grandfather created you? Alistair asked.
"Not exactly created," Mary explained. "He used the legends and faith from another world to manifest us. We're 'brand new' versions. He told us to wait for his heir. Hachishaku went to find you earlier, but she got 'playful' and scared you off. We can't leave the Demi-Human district, so we just waited."
So that life-threatening aura back then was just a joke? Alistair glared at Hachishaku. He had been terrified for no reason.
Fine. Since you're all 'brand new,' I'll show you what a real predator looks like tonight, Alistair thought. He looked at Hachishaku. She was over eight feet tall. He was barely six. He felt like a toddler challenging an adult.
Wait. I have a Dragon Form. I can be ten feet long. Let's see who the 'Big Rig' is then.
