Chapter 45 - 45

Watson put Natasha down, letting her touch and exclaim over Horn-Grandpa.

"System, what level of strength does Horn-Dragon currently possess on Earth?"

"Ding! Horn-Dragon is a fourth-stage wyvern of the lower dragon species. After integration with the universal rules, it is very difficult to cause effective damage to it unless it encounters large-scale destructive weapons."

"Ding! Please, Host, find an energy source in this world to compare rules with. This will update all dragon resistance attributes."

"Ding! Detection of divine power and unknown power peeking. Automatic shielding has been activated."

Divine power and unknown power? Watson frowned upon hearing the system's words.

--- At the Rainbow Bridge.

Heimdall withdrew the divine light from his eyes and responded to Odin in his mind with a grave expression: "Your Majesty, a dragon has indeed been discovered in Midgard. However, this dragon does not possess the legendary massive size of over a hundred meters; it appears to be a young dragon? Nevertheless, it remains a very significant threat to Midgard. More importantly—I was just shielded by a force, and now I can no longer see the dragon. That force should originate from the same source as the dragon."

Listening to Heimdall's words, Odin lowered his head and fell into contemplation: "The next Ragnarök is not far off. At this time, the dragon race, which has been missing for countless years, has reappeared? To be able to shield Heimdall's eyes, it certainly isn't something a young dragon could accomplish—We shall investigate after Thor and Loki have ascended to their positions."

Odin looked up and said to Heimdall: "Keep an eye on Midgard and see if that dragon makes any moves to harm humanity. If it is an evil dragon, you will be able to observe it during its widespread destruction. Report to me immediately if such a situation arises."

"As you command, Your Majesty."

Watson lowered his head and thought for a moment. Divine power, only Odin and the Asgardians would be paying attention to Earth right now.

Unknown power—not sure who it is, but anyone who can detect Horn-Grandpa's presence, like the divine power, must be a formidable individual. Could it be—the Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One?

He looked up at Horn-Grandpa beside him and couldn't help but ask, "System, why does Horn-Grandpa's appearance attract prying eyes?"

"Ding! Dragons of the fourth stage and beyond will emit attribute energy unique to the dragon race."

Then Watson recalled the arbitrary dragon species evolution essence he had previously obtained.

"System, what changes would occur if Horn-Grandpa used the evolution essence to reach the superior rank?"

"Ding! For dragon species that reach the superior rank, their life level will undergo a qualitative change! The changes vary among different dragon species."

"Lower-rank dragons are sub-dragons. Superior-rank dragons will become pure-blood dragons."

"Only sub-dragons of the first four stages can evolve into superior pure-blood dragons."

"Dragons summoned at the fifth and sixth stages are already superior-rank dragons."

Watson suddenly remembered what Strucker said about analyzing pets?

"System, what happens if a monster's scales fall into someone else's hands?"

"Ding! Unless they are in the Host's hands, all materials detached from the monster's body will lose their activity. Inactive materials will no longer possess dragon-attribute genes, any attribute energy, or any special traits. This includes any attribute equipment. They will only regain their unique attributes and traits when on the Host or system-marked personnel."

After hearing the system's answer, Watson finally relaxed. It wouldn't be fun if Hydra replicated a bunch of dragon-humans later.

So—should I give the evolution essence to Horn-Grandpa?

Let's wait for now. This is the only one. I'll see when the Fire Dragon comes out. After all, air superiority is better.

"Honey, we should go."

Watson walked over to Natasha, put his arm around her, and jumped onto Horn-Grandpa's back.

"Horn-Grandpa, directly burst out of the ground!"

Roar, roar, roar!

A few minutes later,

The calm forest suddenly vibrated violently.

Boom~!

A huge figure burst out of the ground.

"Ah~ I'm finally out. It's too dark and uncomfortable down there." Watson sat on Horn-Grandpa's back, stretching as he watched the sunset on the horizon, but his leisure was suddenly interrupted by Natasha's words.

"Darling~ Look at the horn on Horn-Grandpa's head—is that my car?"

"—It seems so. This was absolutely an accident." With that, Watson picked up his phone and dialed Coulson's number.

--- SHIELD Headquarters, Washington D.C.

Nick Fury sat in his chair and said, "Coulson, Agent Romanoff has requested to be reassigned. You will continue to be responsible for liaison with that monster kid. That serum is very effective, but the R&D department still hasn't been able to replicate it; the samples they sent before were just juice! And today, the two of them went to that Hydra stronghold and are still—"

Ring-a-ling~

It was Coulson's phone. After seeing Nick Fury nod in approval, he answered the call.

"Sir, they're out. They want me to pick them up."

"Go."

At the same time,

Pierce's office was in secure mode.

Smack!

Pierce angrily threw the documents in his hand onto the desk.

"The decomposed scales are just a bunch of minerals? No cells, no gene chains! If I didn't know Strucker wouldn't dare to play tricks, I would have thought he gave me fakes!"

After venting, Pierce sat back in his chair and thought, "I can't provoke Nick Fury's vigilance again right now. Strucker and his people are just messing around and are completely useless! Once Project Insight is complete, no one will escape!"

Then he took out his small phone again and pressed the buttons: "Tell Strucker the intelligence we have, and also tell him that those scales are useless! Tell him to stop causing me trouble!"

--- Watson and Natasha were drinking coffee at a street-side coffee shop, of course, the kind where they were showing off their affection—Vroom~

Hearing the car sound, Watson looked towards the door and, seeing Coulson walk in, said, "You didn't drive your Lola?"

"During work hours, I'm afraid of work-related injuries. You know I cherish her. By the way, where's your car?"

Natasha glared at Watson in annoyance and said, "Unfortunately, a work-related injury—"

Coulson looked at the two of them, paused, and then noticed there was only one cup of coffee on the table. There were traces of drinking on the left side of the cup, and on the right side—there was a lipstick mark!

"—You two—no way?"

"Are you disappointed, Coulson?" Watson replied with a smile.

Coulson looked surprised: "Wow! Big news! Does anyone else know? Natasha, Nick, he—"

Natasha raised her beautiful eyebrows and said, "I haven't told him, but with his shrewdness, he's probably already guessing soon~"

"What about Clint?"

"I'm about to tell him~"

Coulson finished listening and said with a smile, "Congratulations, you're the second after Clint. Nick is probably going to have a headache."

"Aren't you almost there too? That cello girlfriend? If not, I think your Lola is pretty good too."

Watson looked at the good-natured man in front of him and suddenly thought that he would die later, although he would be resurrected—but this time with me here, it will definitely not happen.
