Chapter 57 - 57

Snap ~

Walking into the underground garage, I saw Tony, wearing safety goggles and busy with something at the workbench, and asked, "You called me here just to watch you work? I don't understand it."

Tony turned around, took off his goggles, and said, "No, I called you here to witness a miracle ~"

"Then what are you doing?"

"Making the final outer armor, there's a slight flaw."

Watson looked at the row of luxury cars nearby and directly jumped into the blue one with "by Cobra" on it.

"I like this one ~" Watson said, leaning back in the soft seat.

"Don't even think about it, that's my car, and I like it too!" Tony said without turning his head.

After half an hour, Tony took off his goggles and walked over, saying, "Jarvis, are you there? Come, let's show our great detective this big surprise ~"

"Yes, sir."

Several huge robotic arms descended from the ceiling, each carrying parts of the MK2.

Soon, a silver suit of armor was assembled and placed in front of Watson.

Sure enough, the MK2 was complete.

Watson shrugged and said, "And then? I saw a silver shell armor, and then it flew into the air and disintegrated like last time?"

"That was just an accident! It won't happen this time. Now you're not the only one who can fly ~ Let's go, let's eat first, I'm starving."

--- Night began to fall.

Tony started to put on the MK2, while Watson sat in the car, watching this classic scene. To be honest, he was a little bit impressed by how cool it looked ~

"Jarvis, are you there?"

"At your service, sir."

"Activate the head-up display, import all optimization programs."

"No problem, sir."

"Today is a big day, upload all data to the database --- Wait... don't upload the person sitting in the car to the database, just ignore him. Is that done?"

Watson rolled his eyes and ignored him. Today was Tony's big day, so let him show off for a bit; he'd calm down soon enough --- "Data upload complete, sir."

Tony glanced triumphantly at Watson and continued, "Start virtual simulation, let me see how this suit performs."

"Sir, the test is complete, everything is normal."

"Let's check today's flight path and weather conditions."

At this moment, Watson spoke up: "Tony, I think you should experiment a few more times before flying yourself. I'll wait for you, won't I?"

"Sir, I believe Mr. Watson is right. There are still a lot of calculations that need to be completed."

"Jarvis, whose side are you on?" Tony grumbled at Jarvis, then turned to Watson and said, "Great detective, today I'm going to teach you a lesson: sometimes, before you learn to walk, you have to learn to run! Oh, and here, take this. I won't be able to hear you in the sky."

Watson took the communicator and started walking out, saying, "Then I'll wait for you up there, shall I?"

"Jarvis, prepare, 3 --- 2 --- 1... Ignition!"

As soon as Watson walked out of the garage door, he heard Tony's strange cry from behind, and then a silver figure shot out from beside him, soaring into the sky.

"Wow ~! Roar!!! Come up quickly, great detective! Hahaha ~ Now I'm waiting for you, come up quickly ~"

System, release Big Flower.

Grawwwww ~

"Big Flower, catch up to him and give him a swipe!"

Whoosh ~! Swoosh!

Accompanied by immense wind pressure, Big Flower shot out like an arrow from a bowstring, directly charging towards Tony!

Tony had his fun for a while and then adapted to the controls, as if it were an innate talent.

"Hmm? Where did the great detective go?" Tony suddenly stopped. Why didn't he see Watson?

"Jarvis, scan ---"

"Beep beep beep! Sir, there's an object rapidly approaching from behind you!"

"F***!" The moment Jarvis alerted him,

Tony immediately pushed his hands to the right, increasing thrust for a sideways maneuver.

A huge dark shadow streaked past, then slowly ascended. It was Big Flower and Watson!

"Hahaha ~ Tony, having fun ~"

"Ha, you actually tried to ambush me. I'd bet its wings aren't as fast as mine ~ Try it again if you dare ~"

Tony said, then flipped over and flew downwards.

Big Flower also changed direction and rushed over quickly, but Watson, sitting on Big Flower, couldn't help but smile wryly. He was right; Big Flower's current full speed was at most Mach 0.8, just reaching the transsonic standard. But he remembered that the MK2 could go supersonic, at least Mach 1.2. However, he was flying near the city now, so he probably wouldn't use that kind of speed.

Because Watson found that he could keep up.

Tony looked at Watson flying beside him and laughed, "Haha, great detective, I told you, you're not as fast as me!"

Watson rolled his eyes and shouted, "Yeah --- you're the fastest, absolutely the fastest man in the world ---"

"How come I feel like you're not really praising me?! Hey ~ Look at that kid ~"

Below them, at an amusement park, a slowly rotating Ferris wheel had a little boy holding an ice cream who saw Tony's armor. He didn't even notice his ice cream scoop falling, while a little girl was calm --- then Big Flower appeared --- the little boy was still calm, but the little girl let out a scream! and slapped the ice cream in her hand onto the little boy's face.

"Watson, you scared that kid!"

"I didn't, don't slander me."

With that, Tony began to change direction and shot straight into the starry sky, and Big Flower also soared upwards, following closely behind.

"Let me see what this gear can do. Jarvis, what's the highest record for an air force reconnaissance plane?"

"Sir, it's the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft at 85,000 feet."

"Great detective, I'd bet it can't fly as high as me either! GO, records are meant to be broken!"

After saying that, Tony went full throttle and ascended, while Watson slowly followed behind, muttering, "Yeah... you're very high, the higher you fly, the harder you fall."

"What did you say? Haha, I can't hear you ~"

"Sir, the ice layer is rapidly thickening, which may damage the armor."

"A little higher!"

Tony's entire body quickly began to condense a layer of frost, which then started to turn into ice.

Watson, directly below, had a small piece of ice hit his arm: "Big Flower, stop, we'll just wait."

"Haha, great detective, admit defeat ~"

Accompanied by a huge whistling sound, Tony continued to ascend, but by this point, the ice layer had almost completely covered the entire armor and was getting thicker and thicker!

Bang ~!

Sparks suddenly burst from Tony's feet, the thrusters began to malfunction, and the blue light on his mask flickered a few times before going out.

"Ah ah ah ah ah!!!!!"

Although communication was cut off, there was no other sound in this place except for Tony's screams --- "I'm frozen, Jarvis! Deploy the ailerons! Jarvis? --- Great detective!!!!!"

"Big Flower, follow him down, slowly catch him, he's very heavy now."

As he spoke, a large block of ice, accompanied by a pile of ice shards, plummeted past Big Flower.

"Great detective!!!!!"
