Chapter 3 - Chapter 1.2

The wine ran out, and Rodney, noticing how everyone had drunk it, smiled. At that moment, Locke, choked by a cough, croaked:

The wine's gone, Jack, come quickly, come quickly and bring me some barrels, otherwise I'll... uh? What's going on? I can't move my body anymore!

Locke froze, gripped by panic. His body felt frozen, his neck stiff and numb, his jaw hanging like a rag doll. He tried to look at his men, but saw the same thing their faces, distorted with mute terror, frozen in unnatural grimaces. An uninformed person might have thought they were simply drunk.

"Jack? Is that you?!" Locke choked out, finally realizing what was happening. He was just a man, lost in a vast ocean, and now, as his body became paralyzed, he felt fear grip his chest.

Rodney, watching his suffering, only chuckled.

"Sorry, Locke," he said, "I got rid of that guy named Jack yesterday. Now, by my calculations, he's resting in the Sea King's stomach, and by morning his remains will have dissolved into the seabed."

"Who the hell are you?!" Locke yelled, stunned by the unexpected turn of events. He couldn't believe someone had infiltrated his ship while they were out at sea.

"Ha-ha, let me show you who I am," Rodney laughed, summoning a cloud of white smoke that enveloped his figure. When the smoke cleared, a young man, no older than eighteen, stood before them. He had a slender build and an open, scarless face. Unlike Locke and his crew, whose figures were imposing, he wore a simple jacket and blue open-toed sandals. A short sword was strapped to his hip, and a small cloth pouch hung from his belt. Locke was stunned, looking at Rodney, who couldn't hide his satisfaction. He had reached the point where he could be recognized simply by his face.

"Who are you?" Locke demanded.

Rodney remained silent, knowing it would be pointless to reveal his identity to the dying man. Locke, in a fit of rage, spat a mouthful of thick phlegm at him, narrowly missing his target.

"What's the matter? Can't you do anything?" he growled. "If you're brave enough, let me go and see if I beat you to death! I'll show you the power of Locke!"

Rodney, unperturbed, pulled a handful of kunai—throwing knives typically used by ninjas—from his pocket.

"There's another way to deal with you," he said calmly. "It's quite convenient. I don't even have to get my hands dirty, Locke. I'll collect the 4.5 million on your head myself."

Locke's eyes widened in surprise.

This weapon... Are you the Joestar pirate hunter Jay Rodney?!

Locke immediately recalled the rumors circulating at sea about a pirate hunter named Joestar J. Rodney, who hunted and killed pirates with a unique weapon. The description matched that of the man standing before him.

"Oh, so you've heard of me," Rodney nodded. "Then no introduction necessary. Scarface Locke, you're under arrest."

He threw a kunai that hit Locke in the eye socket.

"Ah-ah-ah!" Locke screamed, unable to defend himself. He could only watch as his life slipped away, but the anesthetic numbed him, taking away the pain. He was left speechless and helpless.

A holographic display, visible only to him, appeared in front of Rodney.

Rodney was awarded one hundred mission points. What was the Naruto System doing in the Pirate World? Rodney remembered playing Naruto games while watching One Piece, but in a fit of anger, he slammed his phone shut, causing it to explode and losing all his progress. But now, with the Golden Finger and the Naruto System, he could acquire various powerful martial arts from the Naruto world by exchanging mission points. With his newfound wealth, Rodney left the village and set out as a renowned pirate hunter. He sought to become stronger by tracking down and eliminating the villains who wreaked havoc on the seas, committing robbery, murder, and plunder. Rodney saw a clear distinction between adventurers like the Straw Hat crew and true pirates. Pirates acted solely for their own desires, committing countless heinous acts. Rodney felt no psychological burden in dealing with them.

"These bastards pollute the air while they live, and the sea when they die," Rodney muttered to himself. "They deserve to be destroyed."

Scarface Locke has a bounty of 4.5 million, and with the first mate, second mate, and the rest of the crew, I can probably raise a total of 6 million. 6 million is enough to buy 30,000 explosive seals.

In the Naruto universe, an explosive tag costs between three hundred and two thousand yen, equivalent to Belly currency. With 30,000 of them, Rodney could acquire a significant sum. Thinking back to Konan's 600 billion explosive tags, Rodney couldn't help but sigh. Money truly had limitless possibilities. It was clear to Rodney that he still craved wealth. He was a man who aspired to become Hokage!

"Hokage, I will definitely succeed," Rodney repeated, determined to achieve his goal.
